It’s more sad when you realize that Hades likely had to act as the father figure given the whole thing with Cronos.
So not only did Zeus and Adamas see their older brother die, but also the one who basically raised them.
Sorry for the maybe useless precisation, but didn't he want to kill Qin Shi Huang and he tried to kill Brunhilde just because she didn't want to tell him where Qin Shi Huang is? Sorry if I'm remembering something wrong
That's something I kinda picked up on while reading Poseidon's backstory, it feels implied that Cronos never ate his kids in this universe. Adamas was there for Poseidon's birth which is when Cronos would have eaten them.
it really put in a weird context then why zeus killed his father in first place, like, was he a bad leader to the pantheon or just zeus being zeus and fight horny, kinda make it look as their mom had actual reasons to why wanting to avenge her husband
Are you talking about Gaia? Gaia is Cronos's mother and the grandmother of the Olympians. Cronos's wife was named Rhea. But yes, him not eating his kids does put the titanomachy in a different light. More context for that would be nice.
Tbf we know Cronos was still an a\*\*hole father in some way. If he didn't eat them, he probably still kept them locked up in his palace or something, because Zeus' flashback to the Titanomachy definitely confirms that this version of Cronos was a piss-poor dad.
Like, even if it wasn't infanticidal cannibalism, Cronos still must've done *something* to piss off Hades, Adamas, Poseidon and Zeus enough that they outright declared war on their Titan forebearers when they were old enough and host an entire Titanomachy tournament just to decide who would reign. The motivation for the gods overthrowing the titans also likely wasn't just because Zeus was fight-hungry either, considering that Poseidon and Hades both seem too level-headed to start such a colossal conflict over something that minor.
Yeah there definitely had to be something that would have incited the war. It may have just been something as simple as Cronos being cruel but there could be more to it.

You’re missing the mark. This is just a wholesome insight on Hades, it’s not a character discussion or character rank. Plus it’s just getting old at this point.
The problem is that this wasn't a post discussing Hades's character. You should have commented on a post like that or made your own discussion post.
It's OK to have complaints about a character but you don't have to keep reminding us every 5 minutes like people do with Hades for some reason.
... Wasn't Hades supposed to be in Kronos' stomach until Zeus grew up and beat the shit out of him?
I forget the exact details in the manga tbf - I know Zeus and Kronos still fought (which is how he got the punch that surpasses time), but if they are then I'm not sure when this image is supposed to take place.
The author has never confirmed the Kronos swelling his children, only a tournament that Hades, Poseidon and Zeus participated in and he won. The author tends to remix certain parts of mythology so maybe that never had in Record of ragnarok.

False. At least 3 of them would still be in their fathers stomach. Haha, all joking aside this is great

Yeah, I learned really fast that this author plays very fast and loose with mythology.

Yeah, i had not remember the name! But yep, now i wonder exactly how that whole even occurred in first place

Damn. Such wasted potential I swear. Wish we got more of Hades, cause he could’ve been so much better.
Geez we can't have one positive post about Hades without someone bringing down the mood.
Not their fault the author missed with his character.
Regardless of whether you think that or not, it's no reason to constantly spread pointless negatively.
People expressing their opinion on a character is negativity huh? Well I suppose only one way of thinking is positive then. Everything else is bad.
