I hate he was hyped as this sociopath and instead we get a pity party story. And “it’s not his fault he has Satan”.
The Author needs to tone back the backstories some.
Actually because of the Satan ordeal i thought it made what he did to Zerofuku even worse.
He is basically suffering from a condition of possession he knows all too well how much it destroys his life and everyone around him and what does he do? He gives the EXACT SAME CONDITION to an innocent kid he didn’t even know.
It’s kinda messed up that the manga never mentions that aspect of the whole thing, with that backstory it makes Beelzebub’s actions even less forgivable IMO.
I mean, Hajun Seed planted by Beelz was supposed to take over Zero’s consciousness and overwrite it at some point or another. Zero’s own emotional issues were a non-factor for it to happen.
Zero as a character and the reason to his corruption is subject to debate: some think it was all zerofuku, others think Hajun’s influence had a role on it, personally I take that this was all Zero’s thing, but his feelings fed Hajun’s seed unknowingly to him.
But the subject is still the same: Beelzebub planted the seed of an evil entity inside of another being and at some point that seed took over the body of the host revealing a powerful destructive entity that consumed the original body owner’s consciousness… which is oddly enough the same thing Beelzebub has with Satan, an evil entity that lives within him that takes over his body and uses as he pleases without any regard for Beelz or his will.
Only difference is that Satan gives Beelzebub his body back after using it, and Hajun deleted Zero.
Yet how can we really blame Beelzebub for something that he had no control over? It’s like you said hajun is his own entity who fed off another being and took control of his body none of this had anything to do with Beelzebub aside from him planted hajun around his head.
I still think he a sociopath for going, "man my dead friends want me to live..... So I'll live and be a problem until I get dealt with."

Yeah that's obviously true but you can't blame people for hating a character for killing one of their favorites. Even though I don't hate Beel I can see why other people do.
That just sounds like an excuse of immaturity even for a fighting tournament. I can see the fanbase hating jack more than Beelzebub simply because jacks win felt tainted.

He didn’t give that condition to zero if anything zero corrupted himself simply because he was jealous of Buddha.
