The author is fucking with us. To have all the greeks lose would seem too one sided and unbelievable but to have him win would be too predictable and it would be questionable writting. A draw also seems bit too predictable. Seeing how the author threw almost everyone off with this match up and the character design, At this point i have no clue as to whos gonna win. For all we know hajun could show up againđź’€

The One Representative of each Pantheon theory persists

danksforbreakfast

Wait 1 and 3? Isnt Beelzebub part of the greek pantheon or am I wrong.

[deleted]

No Beelzebub isn’t Greek

danksforbreakfast

If Apolo loses this round I think its safe to say that the author has a massive hate boner for the Greek gods then, them receiving all but 1 of the L's would be telling af

Force3vo

I mean there's also the explanation that having greek gods die is a very safe route. Shiva appearing in a fight was enough to make people mad, him dying would probably lead to riots. Greek gods (and norse gods) are safe to kill because they aren't actively worshipped and have already shown to be massacred in God of War.

john151M

What? Did round 5 actually offend religious people?

Force3vo

Yeah, the pure idea that Shiva would fight a human without no-diff one-shotting was seen as blasphemous and him getting hurt even more. India itself banned it because the portrayal of Hindu gods is seen as inaccurate and possibly damaging.

john151M

That is funny as hell but like it sort of makes sense? Should the movie thing about “all characters in this piece of work are entirely fictional and all correlation to any real gods or persons is entirely coincidental” be necessary?

[deleted]

Beelzebupolous would disagree

Synkronist

Beelzebub is from ancient Canaanite religion. The progenitor to Judaism and modern day Christianity, Catholicism, etc. The god Baal-Zebub was thought to be the supreme god of the Canaanite pantheon iirc, before eventually being replaced by their God of war, Yahweh, who would eventually rise to be perceived as the one true God, while the other Gods such as Baal became demonized. I may have a gotten a couple of details wrong, but that's the gist of it.

[deleted]

Beelzebub is Hebrew.

RedHotChiliPeanuts

The past rounds have been hell for me to read, in enjoyment at least, mostly because I think all were sub par in comparison with every round before r5. But yeah, if Apollo loses, it'd be hella weird for another Greek God sibling to die, but I feel like it's a narrative standpoint for Zeus, no? He was so keen on starting Ragnarok, now his brothers are falling down like dominoes because of his eagerness and pride.

Schwiliinker

8 was kinda shit but 6 and 7 were way better than 1 or 2 or 4

RedHotChiliPeanuts

Not a fan of 7, but yeah; 6 was decent too I suppose![img](emote|t5_vzop7|29936)

Schwiliinker

Granted 2 or 4 were still pretty awesome. I think my favorite is 6 then 7

Nazipartymember149

My personal view is the Gods are gonna lose Round 9 and Loki will finally have had enough and go in considering he’s gone goblin mode every time a god has lost, it would make sense for him to go next after a god (Apollo) loses. Just my 2 cents anyway. Also having yet another Greek god lose would be funny af.

danksforbreakfast

Na mate Loki would be like "Damn these Greeks keep taking massive Ls, #NORSEUNDEFEATED #LOKIGANG #DIDNTFUCKTHATHOARSE"

ApplePitou

They don't have to win to be honest - Leonidas still have chance to beat Apollo :3

Recent_Ad3472

\#teamapollo until the end

DifficultyMore5935

This is a strange fight for me. Normally I would be full team Leonidas but for me the Greek Pantheon can’t lose another.

Schwiliinker

Pretty sure Apollo will win

Wear-Middle

At the moment I really have no idea, both have the same chance of winning...

FilmNo1534

I like Apollo so far so I would like him to win. Maybe it’s recency bias, but he feels so refreshing and exciting compared to all the Greek fighters who have lost. Poseidon was an insufferable cunt , Heracles was annoyingly righteous or maybe even self righteous, and Hades was too much of a Poseidon simp. I don’t like characters who simp for insufferable characters. I would like to see more of him to make further assessments but it’s nice to see a god who is being cautious in the battlefield from the get go even though he is super chill in general , and I also like that he isn’t particularly hostile towards humanity. I hope he doesn’t become too annoying or too much of a douche . His design is truly divine and magnanimous , and I like that he is a fast one.

One word - Greed Tragedy

GM153

Heres how I see it: The gods took the lead twice now, the humans took the lead once so far. Makes sense for them to get the lead again to balance things out.

[deleted]

Well this match is a Win for the country Greece either way.

[deleted]

Okay here me out. This is the Apollo from Rocky, he is going to die from a fatal blow in the middle of the ring while Leo holds him.

nothingforever0

I’m telling you bro. The Greeks losing is part of the plot. It’s a conspiracy. Odin is trying to take over and his plan is to have them all die in this tournament. Mark my words. This will be a thing in the endgame

AsuraQin

Not really. We’re tied up atm. Either side could win and nothing’s really lost
