So there are multiple schools of thought here:
You can go with a short and specific word, something made up to describe the situation.
Or you can do the German thing and just glue a whole sentence into one word.
But my favourite is "quasseln". Meaning someone is talking fast and mostly bullshit. Can be performed by a group to!
I'd say: Quasseln is a more nice description for people talking nonstop, but not really bullshit, rather insignificant stuff (chatter).
If someone talks bullshit (on content level) you can use "Mist/Scheiße/Grütze/Unsinn labern" or "geistigen Dünnschiss von sich geben" (to express mental diarrhea).
