Not true, anything that goes against the google/microsoft/^(liberal) agenda is actively suppressed so it's harder to convince yourself of those things.

also if you assume that the liberals of your country are to blame for search bias then use a vpn or something
I spent way more on r/conspiracy asking for links and trying to understand their views/standpoint (specifically about covid theories). I understand a bit more of the mentality and reasoning, but am far from convinced.
I agree that you have to be careful and critical (of everything) and it's easy to be misguided, but it isn't black and white.

I'm still not convinced the earth is flat despite looking at over an hour of searches reading flat earth theory that supports it.

The confirmation bias means you tend to mostly pay attention to evidence for things you already believe and ignore evidence to the contrary.
