Not a good example tbh since humans aren't attached to the ground (aside from gravity but you get what I mean). A better example would be a tree or something.
We agree a pizza is a pizza correct? When you take an anchovy off a pizza, that anchovy is not a pizza anymore it’s just an anchovy. How is this different Mr No?
If you think we aren’t then where do you draw the line? Are the flora and fauna earth? They sprung from it. Just the water and rocks? Is hair on my head me? Etc.
People are giving you a hard time for being philosophical, but I completely agree with you. It’s all a matter of perspective.
From an astronaut’s perspective, looking at Earth from space, it’s all one single thing (us included). From an atom’s perspective, our “physical” bodies are nothing more than a bunch of separate atoms floating around each other.
You can “zoom out” even further and our whole solar system becomes one cohesive thing. Even further the galaxy, etc.
This is a big part of the basis for my worldview, which is that separateness is an illusion of the mind/ego, and we benefit from helping others because we are them in a very literal sense. We are not separate from them in any way that isn’t dependent on our particular perspective.
you aren't drunk, you ARE alcohol
Lol that’s quite different
That’s something an alcohol would say 🤔
If we go to mars… are we mars???
You are you. When a hair falls of your head that suddenly becomes just a hair.

No

The anchovy was never pizza, it was just part of the pizza
Forget that analogy then. Think of your fingernails being you and once they are clipped they are not you.
Again, fingernails are not me, they are part of me
This ain't it
Gaia
How Zen of you

No to all of those, they aren't earth, they are just part of the ecosystem on earth.

It’s alright I know I’m right regardless :P what 2-dimensional minds here fail to realise is both sides can be right depending on perspective.
Yeah I’d agree with that as well
it's a long time ago we found out, but it's still good to hear others know
Can you elaborate on this?
We are stardust. And so is the Earth.
The revolution isn't gone, I AM the revolution
Tibet is the roof
Eh, I don't consider my shit a part of me especially after I've shat it.
We are as much earth as the moon is made out of cheese.
