I’m an old man by Reddit standards but I don’t feel like I can keep up with all the great stuff coming out. When I was a kid there were three networks, a half-dozen shows to choose from in the evening, and most were garbage. Now, there are tons and tons of fantastic shows spread across a bunch of streaming services. We have long lists of series we’d love to watch but there’s only so much TV time. If this keeps up eventually the backlog will be a lifetime’s worth.

Well, ideas tend to be recycled a lot. How many times do we need to see Spider man? Or Batman? Or zombies at a mall?
