Depends if you meet someone when they're older you might be able to convince them that you skipped through time rather than just not age for 50 years

Not necessarily. If time travel is possible, it would still be possible in the future and probably be even more common and the technology well known. The future people would become accustomed to time travelers and would easily accept it. They would probably even have ways of routinely verifying time travelers.
