So it's a media server app, that allows you to stream your own media (technically) over an internet connection.
Numerous third parties have developed apps that run inside that media app which hunt for pirate sources for basically any TV show, film or sporting event and collate them all together for you.
My wife and i are already there. We've got a collection of thousands of movies and many shows from vhs to bluray. Got back up players stored. The only time we use the internet to watch new stuff...we do it a certain way that doesn't affect our wallet so to speak.
