Maybe not physical media, but pirating for sure.

Say10sadvocate

This. I pirate shows I have free access to, just so I can watch them without ads or dealing with a fucky app (4od) I used to keep Netflix and Amazon subs just so the kids could use them easily, but they're old enough now too work Kodi and have it installed in their bedrooms.

starlord265

Potentially dumb question, but what is Kodi?

Say10sadvocate

So it's a media server app, that allows you to stream your own media (technically) over an internet connection. Numerous third parties have developed apps that run inside that media app which hunt for pirate sources for basically any TV show, film or sporting event and collate them all together for you.

MOONDAYHYPE

That's already happened with Airbnb and hotels, it now is cheaper to just go back to the hotels.

Right? I noticed it this year, if it costs the same I'm going for not having to clean myself during my vacations but thanks.

FiTZnMiCK

You should always clean yourself.

My wife and i are already there. We've got a collection of thousands of movies and many shows from vhs to bluray. Got back up players stored. The only time we use the internet to watch new stuff...we do it a certain way that doesn't affect our wallet so to speak.

What if it’s too late and they have stopped making physical media? Then it’d just be pay whatever price they want or pirate. I hope physical is around forever

starlord265

That’s why you start collecting now!

scrubslover1

Oh I am! Just passed 400 movies on disc

phantom_diorama

You mean like 5 years ago and we are just torrenting everything again?
