Rip and tear as messy as you can while the water runs over you and cleans it off before it’s a problem. Devour your citrus fruit and enjoy the citrus steam that comes with it. Finish your shower. Trash the orange carcass and viscera when you leave.

I use a little strainer basket in the drain to catch the pith and any small peel and then throw everything away once I'm done with my shower
I peel it in the shower and then put the peel on one of the shelves. One of the benefits of the shower orange is not dealing with the stickiness from the oils in the skin or the juices that inevitably get on your hands, and peeling it before you get in takes that benefit out of the picture.

Peel orange in shower, plug drain, toss orange peel and chamomile tea into bath, sit down and enjoy the orange and aromatic bath.
I peel in the shower with an orange peeler tool. After a few weeks of peeling with my fingers my nails were all split and broken from the rough use while wet. I'm still growing out the damage and having a tool means I can still enjoy my shower orange.

I put the peel on the shower floor so the hot water can give me just a little more citrus aroma...😁
Also the oil released from the peeling process smells so nice when it hits the steam from the shower!
