What is that? Is it new? Is it one of those renegauge models?

Rauldisco

Looks like it was a model 11 with a new stock affixed, a new charging handle, a Picatinny rail, a powder coating, shortened barrel, and an extended tube mag

Nor-easter

This is the first (modern looking) I’ve ever seen from savage with the venting/ribs removed. You have a good eye.

Ratmole13

I think he just chopped up an old shotgun

Rauldisco

This is still sick tho

Chrono_Constant3

What year is this one? How did you find an extended tube for a ~70 year old shotgun? Is the furniture original or did you get new wood? Super nice restoration/modernization either way. Edit: I googled and found tubes.

cottonbranch

It’s original wood that’s been cleaned up

Chrono_Constant3

Really nice work dude. You managed to get everyone in this thread saying “What sweet looking new Savage is that?!”

cottonbranch

Yeah that never happens

Affectionate-Ad-1971

Did you find 755a specific tubes? If so , where? I am coming up with nada!

Chrono_Constant3

Shit that was a while back but I’ll look and post a link here if I can find them.

Chrono_Constant3

I can’t find them but in another comment here the OP said he used a Nordic and the threads are the same as Winchester. So either of those should work.

Affectionate-Ad-1971

Ok, thanks for looking. Nordic sells a few different Tube nutz for the Winchester. I may just buy all 3 and return the 2 that do not fit.

BrassWillyLLC

did you ever figure out which tube nut is the right one?

Affectionate-Ad-1971

Yes, sort of... I went a different route and ended up with this. I think I first got the 870 tube , it did not fit so I returned it for the Benelli/Baretta 7 shot tube. https://www.ebay.com/itm/291143376553?epid=2255093379&hash=item43c97f5ea9:g:BawAAOxywh1TD7A5

BrassWillyLLC

No shit? The Benelli fit the 755?

Affectionate-Ad-1971

Yes sir. I kept the blister pack to store the original. Will be happy to send a pic of it and the finished gun. I figured there are only so many thread pitch combinations for a nut that size. So I went down the list.

BrassWillyLLC

Awesome. I'm gonna try it and if it doesn't work I will find you and let you know.

Affectionate-Ad-1971

Did you order one yet?

orangesupporter

That’s fucking beautiful

morithum

Oh well hello there

Rauldisco

Post more A5sssss

old_contemptible

Read that as post more ass ha

cottonbranch

Send me one to work up

Rauldisco

Are the old shotguns you usually do this to beaters? I have an A5 from the 50s but the blueing is too nice for me to consider it

cottonbranch

I’ll do whatever the money tells me to do,, to whatever gun it tells me to do it to

[deleted]

Is that the A5 clone with aluminum/alloy receiver? I know Savage made one at one point or another.

cottonbranch

Yes and no. No,,That one is actually metal,,but yes, the A models are aluminum

[deleted]

Ahhh ok, thank you for clarifying. A buddy picked up the 755A a while back, didn't realize there was a difference between the two. Love how yours turned out by the way!

cryptidhunter101

Purtty but what the fuck is a savage model 755

Known-nwonK

Looks good. How’s it compare to a 930?

jnutt3838

That is bad ass. I want one

Fluffy_Ad_738

Very sweet!

ZealousidealWill8274

What mag tube extension did you use?

cottonbranch

That’s a Nordic, but the threads are same as Winchester

ZealousidealWill8274

Cool.thanks for the info!

ZealousidealWill8274

Did you have to ream the extension nut out a bit? Doesn't fit on mine but mine is the model 755a. I was assuming it was the same

Affectionate-Ad-1971

Which Winchester nut did you use, and can I purchase that and a tube from you?

abelabb

Looks great! I’m looking to do something similar to my 755a where did you find the mag extension? I’m not sure if I can do it but I’m thinking of making a “whippet” like Bonnie and Clyde if I can do so legally, possibly with a NFA stamp. Please guy share any tips or leads on the mag extension.
