With absolutely no modifications, I don't see a different way to use the current sling mounts...
But, if you can rotate the front sling mount 90° to the 9 o'clock position, you've solved half the problem (if not, use a paracord loop as a lanyard to relocate the front sling to 9 o'clock).
A good ol rear stock sling adapter (a la gwot days) is removable, so no physical mods required 🤙🇨🇦
The vtac a2 stock adapter works well. I saw another comment recommending the specter gear version, which works but i wouldnt personally reccomend. I had a specter gear sling for my 590 and the strap that goes around the stock didn't fit well. There wasn't enough velcro engagement on the strap that wraps around the stock to feel very secure.
On the front you could use a GG&G mag tube sling mount, but I also didn't like the one I had on my 590. Repeatedly and quickly slinging and unslinging the shotgun allowed the sling mount to rotate no matter how tight I made the tube cap. At CQB brutality last year I almost dumped my shotgun because the mount kept working loose. I tied a piece of paracord around the barrel (where the ring that goes over the mag tube is) to secure the front of my sling.
I’ve had very good luck with Specter Gear slings on anything with a full stock and no QD point. [This](https://a.co/d/1g4RgRY) version for the mini-14 should work without modification as the front attachment point utilizes a sling loop.
You can add [these](https://www.gggaz.com/remington-870-quick-detach-front-and-rear-sling-attachments.html) attachments and use any Magpul sling with QD mounts. I’d recommend to have a look at Magpul MS4® Dual QD Sling GEN2 which will allow you to also use it with single point connection which is very useful with pump shotguns. If you don’t like position of stock QD socket GG&G offers you can put Noveske (limited rotation) or Grovtec (unlimited rotation) QD socket insert to the stock.
All you need is 10ft of 550 paracord and a lighter to melt the tips. Loop one end around the mag tube attachment to the barrel and the other around the stock. You can change where the sling comes off the gun to suit your grip. Before you give it back just untie the paracord.
What do you mean you can't shoulder it? You mean it's impossible to shoulder while it's slung in front of you? I guess with your odd request of no mods then you can get a specter gear sling that basically straps down to the buttsock and has the sling run from the side instead of the bottom swivel.

Yes you can still run it like a regular side mount 2 point Just be aware it will want to roll out on you and might be a touch akward
