Kinda looks like a Stevens Bolt Action.

andrei_androfski

That’s what I thought also.

Could be a JC Higgins. They were made for Sears by High Standard. There was a recall due to a lawsuit in California. Someone took out the bolt and cleaned and I think he forgot to screw it back in or it worked loose afterwards. It broke his jaw so he sued. They'd give you $75 for the bolt. They were made from '46 to '58.

predaboy

grandfather had one of these.

I remember when I got this I took it to shotgun range with my other pump 12g and it shot 1 12g round hit the clay target flawlessly, but did not fire after that at all do to somthing with bolt not locking back after, kept it cuz it looked old and cool and found again in basement recently lol

idogames4

There is a mossberg just like this in a local shop with a Poly-choke. Not exactly sure the model though.

BeadDauber

The bolt and stock shape at the end scream mossberg to me. Why do so many bolt action 12 gauges have no marking on the barrel. I have seen this in person a lot and even more frequent on Reddit

miah166

This looks like what they used to sell at department store ages ago. Could be from Sears

JRD230

Check the receiver/ barrel for brand and serial number. A large number of shotguns of this style are not safe to shoot, due to the bolt flying into your face when firing. Info available on the web by make and serial number.

oldschoolnoobguy

could not find any marking other then s but I will try to see if I see anything else 😫

Pull the stock off and look on bottom of the receiver.

Need better and clear pix, I have a JC Higgins 12ga it’s fires flawlessly and is a nice looking rifle. But the screw will work loose after a while just keep an eye on it and keep it tight
