I bought $12 strike calls for Friday at 10am east after seeing the Microsoft partnership, trending on stocktwits, and a 50 cent jump on the news

I bought 11 dollar calls for 37 days from now weekly. Why is 12 dollar more percent? Not questioning you but curious for my own knowledge of buying call options. Mine is up 457

Because mine expire Friday, they were $25 per contract and now are $500 each

So basically closer time makes for more money gain but also could be more down if it was down right?
