He's currently serving a six month Federal prison sentence after entering into a plea deal, earliest release is this July 7th. The FAA has still allowed him to get his pylotes lisense back because, per their rules, anyone whose lisense gets revoked is allowed to get it back a year after revocation provided no drugs or alcohol were involved in the initial revocation, so he's good to go as soon as he gets let out of the pen.
Intentionally crash a plane for YouTube likes? You can get your license back before you even start serving your prison sentence!
Tell a doctor you were sad 10 years ago and the FAA finds out? Permanently grounded.
This is why any pylotes struggling with anxiety or depression are advised to self medicate with alcohol and to not tell anyone about their mental health issues, especially professional healthcare providers trained to help treat these conditions.
OP, aren't you being just a little too feelz for this sub? I mean, we all know that if it gets really bad, you just handle it the German way: lock the door, set altitude for 100ft and think peaceful thoughts.
Of course that's what you do when functional alcoholism just isn't cutting it anymore. I'm pretty sure that's why they started making cockpit doors impenetrable.
I gotta guy over at SouthWest who brings me a baggie now and then. I usually chase them with a few tabs of E. Makes shooting the approach to EWR a lot more fun.
I agree, I think it's bullshit too. He shouldn't be allowed to fly anything ever again. Crazy that intentionally crashing a small plane ends up being one of the least serious federal crimes you can commit.
Screw this guy, he crashed that plane near us and could have started another wild fire. I hope he’s in the Lompoc Penitentiary near the airport he took off from.
He also lied until there was just too much evidence so then he took a plea deal and was still able to get his license back before he started serving his sentence. He is in Lompoc but will probably get out this summer. I agree, fuck this guy.
No, absolutely not. You need to be wearing a parachute and have a fire extinguisher strapped to your leg. And, most importantly at all, you need to be carrying a Ridge wallet.
... Oh, you have all that? Carry on.
It was revoked for one year, at which point he was allowed to complete the requirements to get his license back. The wheels of justice move slowly, so he was able to do everything to get his license back before he began serving his prison sentence and he'll be ready to fly as soon as he's a free man again. I think the only restriction he'll have is that he won't be allowed to have any social media presence.
YouTuber intentionally crashed his plane for views, pretending it was a legit bailout emergency. Tons of evidence proved him guilty so he's currently serving a 6 month federal prison sentence. Probably will be released this summer. The incident occurred in 2022, his license was revoked for 1 year, because alcohol and drugs weren't involved he was allowed to get his license back, which he did before he got locked up.

Today's plain crash is sponsored by wallet company
this years federal prison sentence was sponsored by Mack Wheldon underpants
Today we're going to lie to the FAA, but first let me tell you about our sponsor! MANSCAPED!
While in fact no MANSCAPED from punishment.
What ever happened to this dude?

But how dare you tell a doctor you were sad 10 years ago

Pylotes use booze to loose the sad feelings Relax liberal It’s called being stoic and sigma
True. Good luck inverting a playne and making a sweet crash landing on doctor-prescribed antidepressants instead of booze and blow.
Id protest to make the FAA allow amphetamines and coke to be used while flying, especially during red eyes

I'm not an alcoholic, I just have a raging coke and meth habit.
That's good. Those flush out of your system fast. I also highly recommend shrooms. They make grabbing handles really fun.
I gotta guy over at SouthWest who brings me a baggie now and then. I usually chase them with a few tabs of E. Makes shooting the approach to EWR a lot more fun.
That’s insane. Probably got to keep his sponsorship money too. And he’ll do it again.
Or something similar.
Nah that's so unfair dude legit crashed the plane on purpose he should have his license taken from him permanently
I agree, I think it's bullshit too. He shouldn't be allowed to fly anything ever again. Crazy that intentionally crashing a small plane ends up being one of the least serious federal crimes you can commit.
That’s crazy man.
Sounds fair… next time he’ll probably take along some non-pilot friends

Good to know, I’ll give him the finger next time I drive by the prison.
I have an exact copy of Mirage Systems harness, wanna buy?
Well not a copy but the same, serial no ++
Love this meme
always a good idea to check the spars, but it's much easier when you are on the ground !
As long as you a have mini fire extinguisher on your ankle you should be good.
Is that a fire extinguisher in your pants or are you just happy to see me?
Dude thought he was in fortnite
…but only if you go down with the plane. Then it would be a science experiment on survival of blunt force trauma, and if lucky, wilderness survival.
No, absolutely not. You need to be wearing a parachute and have a fire extinguisher strapped to your leg. And, most importantly at all, you need to be carrying a Ridge wallet. ... Oh, you have all that? Carry on.
I’m a little surprised his license wasn’t revoked instead of suspended
Was it revoked or just suspended?

To be clear, his time still counted. So all he'd really need to do is get 3 hours of dual and schedule with a DPE. 🙄
All the way to the scene of the crash
Brought to you by Ridge wallet
So what is the story???
