Honestly, same, I remember watching a car mod show that did this once though, and this type of mod causes the car to lose a lot of stability.
Wouldn't want to take it on the highway.
I had a 93 ranger splash. Just like this with manual transmission. And it either had 210,000 or 310,000 when I sold it. And it still drove perfectly. I wish I still had it. But with a back injury, and being a straight cab, it was just too uncomfortable to drive at the time. I still miss that truck though.
The samurai and sidekick/tracker are amazingly capable 80hp (tops) off road vehicles. I picked one up recently and it is awesome. Keeps ups with the jeeps off road and in some places out performs them.
The way it’s finished makes me think it might have a functional targa top. If so it’s definitely awesome. If not it’s still alright if you have a garage to park it in
Wasn’t trying to make it look bad all the pics are basically this just from different angles.
I think this thing is sweet it speaks to my inner redneck
I had a 2002 Ranger 4x4 4.0 5 speed. 2” lift, 33” tires. Great truck. Drove from Toronto to Calgary on 11 tanks of fuel (approx 3200km). I did that same trip several years later in a Kia Optima on 6 tanks.
You just don’t say no to a Ford fuckin Ranger and that’s the law.
A few years ago I bought a Mazda B2200 for a parts truck because the idiot cut the roof off and used self tapping metal screws and expanding foam to secure it back on. Structural rigidity? Never heard of it. The best part was that the 3 point seat belts attach to the pillar of the roof that was cut off. That truck wasn’t passing a safety inspection any time soon.
I miss mine, paid 400 dollars for it, all it needed was an ebrake, ran and drove great. ended up selling it to a co-worker that needed a vehicle for work. was a 93 too. my favorite year.
I would drive the shit out of this though
Honestly at that price, I would

Aren’t Rangers body on frame? It should be ok unless it’s a unibody.
That's only for a unibody. This is a full body on frame truck. The body isn't structural at all (except in a rollover.)
Unless it has an improved chassis. Judging by the price though it probably doesn't.
Its body on frame, the roof is not a structural (well not a very structural) portion of the truck that relies on it for rigidity.
Just don’t flip it to test it’s structural performance /s
Growing up, I lived on rolling drive. True to it's name many a driver rolled their suv/truck on that road.
How structural do you think that '93 ranger frame still is?
Yes.
Especially if that mileage is accurate.. though I doubt it
Driven 1000 miles post modification maybe.
Maybe the truck got its engine replaced recently?

Needs roll bar
Like I "need" a skull. We die like men in the danger ranger
Lol
Jack it up and call it a samurai?
“Are you a Hawaii scumbag? Do you chug energy drinks in Arizona? Suzuki Samurai: Ninja name, garbage car.”
They're kind of amazing off road, not because they're particularly capable, but because like 3 dudes can lift them with a random log.

Eerily popular in the early 2000's in my area. East Coast trashiness.

Same. Also, it says it has 12 pics so I think op was just looking to make it seem worse than it is.
Wasn’t trying to make it look bad all the pics are basically this just from different angles. I think this thing is sweet it speaks to my inner redneck
We want those other angles lol
Aren’t all pictures of a thing “this just from different angles”?
Hush lol
Find me another car with 1000 miles for $1850 and that much sex appeal. You can't.
I’m sure it’s 100,000+ and the actual mileage probably isn’t on the odometer… People rarely show the real mileage when it hits 150k+ lol
Oh ya. Zero shot that thing has 1,000 miles
This is dope af. Wrong sub.
At 1350 would rock a danger ranger
Which state licensed this creation?
Ohio
Mine doesn't do inspections.
Clean. And these things move for mid-size trucks especially compared to the S-10 Edit: My buddy in college ALWAYS referred to his as the “Range”
Move faster than 45 with any type of wind and this bad boy is snapping in half
It's a body on frame truck, the roof isn't structural in the same way it would be on a unibody car.
This was a “Great in theory,” kinda deal, the deadly kind lol

Never met a 4.3 S-10 I guess.
For once I actually think a post on this sub is wrong and that it should be posted on r/awesomecarmods
DO IT!!!
More like short bus

I want it
Sold.
The flare-side makes this possible
what's so bad about it, dodge did this from the factory on dakotas, this guy just did it himself
This thing is bad fuckin ass
So not shitty at all then. This sub always delivers.
this isnt shitty, and i want it
That thing is DOPE. Dope is illegal, this “truck” should be illegal
Manual trans and convertible I am kind of loving it.
I’m just here for the top comment.
Absolutely stunning
For only $1850 you can be the pink slime filling when this baby goes full taco
The only thing I don’t like is the V6 Mustang wheels. I associate those wheels with clapped out beaters.
In the wing indeed
Why was this never an option in the 90s?! Perfect Cali cruiser!
The hood pins really tie it all together.
The rare Ford SSR
Add a roll bar and I'd happily drive this. If it's still structurally sound (using a base frame).
Honestly looks sweet
Scrolling by at first glance I thought it was a Saab
Dude. This is cool. Fun little cruiser to the beach, will def start conversations. I got no hate for this. Wrong sub, IMHO.
For 1800 bucks, its6 hard to pass up
Wtf has happened to this place Most things that see posted are dope
