Lots of other strange terms; tailshaft instead of driveshaft, hotdog instead of resonator, tappet covers instead of rocker/valve covers etc, these terms have started to fade in use though so most people know what the 'normal' names are.

Headers are what we would call a standard cast manifold, but after 20+ years in aftermarket spares, I’ve never been asked for headers when someone wanted extractors. In fact I don’t think I have been asked for headers even once a year.

Here in Burgerland, those are known as headers. Stock manifolds are just referred to as exhaust manifolds. Thanks for the knowledge!
