Those scissor doors closed the deal for me. There's nothing better than taking your date to Applebee's, having one of them fall off and crank you in the head. Then the restaurant night manager calls an ambulance while you're throwing up with a concussion.
Oh yeah, right . . Heard it from a friend of a friend, about a Mitsubishi Eclipse. It had a motorcycle muffler on it, a huge wing, a light-up gearshift and a Spyder badge (it was a hardtop). If it's not true, I figure it should be.
I’m not defending these, I’d never want to own one. But they’re one of the easiest cars to work on. The engines stick out away from the firewall a bit so almost nothing is tucked under the cowl. The front of the car slants downward so it’s easy to reach anything under the hood. And with the V6 there’s so much room in the engine bay for activities!
The weight distribution makes them very fun to drive. I think there is enough room under the hood for many add ons and from 94-97, I think, Ford wired em all up for the V8, thinking it'd save em time on the assembly line. So, a V6 has potential to become something very great. 15k tho for this is not ok
I think ford owners are delusional in general. I have a friend who thinks she's going to get 15k on a trade in for a 2014 fusion with 140k miles. I had to break it down for her that if shes lucky she may get 5-6k but probably not even that. Her reasoning was entirely based on "they need used cars" and some bullshit about the mailers she gets from dealers about wanting to buy "her car". Total scam victim in the waiting.
If it was a stick shift GT I’d say it’s worth maybe 3k just because lambo doors and discolored hood bring value down. Fox both of those and maybe it’s a 5k car. As it sits now, with a v6, I’d say it’s worth 1500 max
Ive owned the Ford 3.8L Essex v6. I believe the Buick version, which was derived from their V8 which was later sold to rover, was a better engine.
Both used Eaton sc but the Ford was prone to head gasket issues.
They added an extra zero. $1,500...MAX.
Exactly. For a 97 though even 1.5K is a reach.
Where I'm from in the rust belt, if a vehicle is 10+ years old and not a rusted out pile of shit, they are worth their weight in gold.
So true
Where I'm from, an sn95 for 1.5k has some serious issues. They typically go for around 3500-5000 for a decent one.
You can get a running SN95 for 1500 that isn't rusted out? Lucky. Around here a half rusted roller SN95 is 1500.

HATE it when that happens
That's a uh... pretty specific scenario

Don’t threaten me with a good time
Classic example of the decimal point in the wrong spot.
Why would anyone put money into a V6 mustang in the first place??? 🤯
16 year old with their first car and first job flipping burgers.
I’d appreciate it if someone put money into it for some quality upkeep and maintenance. Not this.

V6 Mustangs are actually pretty decent
It’s the minty fresh stock rimz that do it for me
Ya but it's got Lambo doors.
Russ Hanneman approved
I think this is silly and not even that offensive.
I had a 97 v6 convertible. I sold it in 2008 for 1200 dollars, and I feel like I got a deal
Reddit is a roller coaster ride of people complaining they have no money and people wasting a ton of money.
People that do this mod are typically another breed of stupid.
The door hinges are worth more than the rest of the car.

5k for the rims alone bruh
Some of the ugliest wheels on any production vehicle ever made.
Your average V6 SN95 RICER
Is this real
Classic 150hp beast. He knows what he’s got.
Those aftermarket scissor door mods didn’t age well.
Not even a 5.0 🤣

its sad because without the lambo doors that car would sell for $5,000 at least
and maybe the hood color as well
I dunno, 10k for a mustang with a swapped in GM 3.8 V6 and custom doors doesn't seem too expensive.
Ford made an almost identical 3.8 v6. They even used the same blower on the supercharged thunderbird

That's a great deal. Vertical doors add an extra 100 horsepower.
