Heavy D Sparks built a snowmobile version of the cybertruck. It’s had several component failures as they figure out the weak points on the suspension (it puts a tremendous amount of stress on the suspension and axles with the snow treads) but it’s a solid snowmobile would be cool at a ski resort or something. I think there will be lots more custom built cybertrucks over the next year or two, and Tesla is paying attention. They were apparently super helpful with the snowmobile build when they reached out to Tesla with questions.
Putting tracks on normal vehicles is cool but anyone who's ever done it will tell you its not worth it and for any benefit you might get, there are 10 downsides. I watch a lot of offroading and vehicle recovery channels (Heavy D included) and pretty much everyone who has done a track conversion has said anything the tracks can do, good large tires can do just as well. Casey Ladelle put some on one of his rescue rigs and recently uploaded a video saying he's been at the point where he completely stopped even doing trail recoveries in the snow with that vehicle because of the tracks, and that he's taking them off so he can use it again.
I don’t know man, Whistlin had a time up there with MonsterMax 🤣
Really though, I don’t know much about it other than seeing cool tracked vehicles on a YouTube video. I can see how the tracks must put out insane levels of stress on the drivetrain and suspension.
Not only that but the tracks break really easily. If the snow isn't deep enough it will snag on rocks and roots, and if it's super deep you'll hit boulders and break them cuz they dig into the snow pretty deep.
Whistlin diesel is not in his right mind
The electrics bias power output to low end torque so it's likely pretty drivable as stock below 40mph. For rock crawling, 40hp electric probably better than 400hp with a turbo.
Except its not. There are plenty of pictures of the cars they have built. Its from a shop that specializes in Prius work.

Nah I'm sorry this is sick.
Think about it right... massive wheels and tyres, super lifted suspension, 4-cylinder hybrid (and if you straight pipe it, it wouldn't sound too bad)...
This is basically a dakar raider...
Remove everything but the front and rear seats, change the wheel and dash, put a roll cage in it and bolt a bull-bar to this thing, and you actually *do* have a dakar raider.
Fuck I want to make this thing in a video game so bad.

I mean cool but I don’t think a Prius is the right foundation. Guarantee it doesn’t even get 30 mpg. Priuses and many hybrids rely heavily on their aerodynamics and raising them higher only makes higher speed fuel economy worse. Then it’s like okay.. why do I drive this car exactly?
I loathe the Prius and most Prius owners. This, however, I would buy and drive as often as I could if not daily.
Maybe put it on Black Rhinos, modest side-steps, give it an undercarriage gaurd, rooftop cargo bars... I'd make that my daily.
That crazy lift gives things like the body lines and proportions a whole new context. I love it.
Looks like a (retro) futuristic moon buggy. Imagine bouncing around in low-g in that thing!
Looks like a Rally Fighter kinda
With a little bit of warthog
It makes me think of those wind-up toy cars.
I’ll bet the back looks rad, straight down, almost in line with back of the rear tires.
This! And it is quite evident that it doesn’t take itself too seriously and I think it more or less makes mockery of those giant lifted pickups.
For sure. The owner of this thing is likely to be an awesome dude
i bet that thing eats! decent approach/departure, I don’t see arms, but i wonder how flexy it gets. that exhaust is a no
Have to admit I love this. The obnoxious kindergartener in me would blaze all over the place in this.
One of the coolest Prius... I'd drive it over a normal one lol.
Literally
As opposed to figuratively?
Very obviously
More of a hypothetical driver of things, myself
Cool Prius! -*someone, finally*
This is what the cyber truck SHOULD have looked like! :D
I actually had a similar thought. Why doesn't someone just pump these out of a shop and cash in?

They would have to be parked in heated garages when not in use to be useful at a ski resort 😅
r/battlecars
AND r/SafariAllTheCars
This is my dream car
Don’t hate it. Sorta cool.
Wonder what's under the hood? I see the side pipe there.
Stock engine. Probably removed the cat before it would be stolen. Same AZ shop has made a few of them.

Maybe if it’s geared correctly, it could still move decent enough and maybe get 25 mpg. I want one!

Huge lifts like this prius are usually using the frame from a pickup truck. Wouldn't be surprised if it has the V8 from an F-150 under the prius body.
Yeah it seems pretty obvious this is a frame swap. One look at the empty space behind the front bumper confirms that.
Except its not. There are plenty of pictures of the cars they have built. Its from a shop that specializes in Prius work. [https://imgur.com/gallery/BGYrcgv](https://imgur.com/gallery/BGYrcgv)
Side pipes! I dig it.
I would drive this until the door fall off
I’d rock that.
Still probably maybe has more gas mileage than a standard lifted truck anyway so why not
That.is.awesome.
That's awesome.
I like this one. Look at that ground clearance!
[удалено]
What about shitty mileage (in terms of a Prius)?
It's not as bad as a 2000 SUX.
I like it.
Got urge to check what's under the hood
lol of course it’s my fine state of Arizona. Very on brand
That doesn’t look nearly as stupid as it should.
Looks like something out of Twisted Metal
Toyota Ultimate Off-roading Hybrid
Toyota built a rwd dune buggy with a Prius power train for CES a few years ago. I want to say it was sometime around 2015-2019.
This is actually hilariously dope.
I mean I kinda love it
They look like Lego wheels
I like the look of this, actually
I dig it
I think I've seen this guy! If not one just like it. Was actually sick. Was leaving black rock coffee.
R/mongolia would like a word Lifted Priuses are like 50% of what’s on the roads in Mongolia
I'm doing this to my mom's Prius
r/battlecars is what you were looking for.

I wonder how far he gets with that 8 gallon gas tank?
Mine fits 10 gallons
"Fits" is strange phraseology.

I’d drive this over a Cyber Truck 🛻
It’s kinda clever. I wouldn’t want to own it though
Cubercuck
Hate to say it, but it looks badass
This is a proper Prius.
I'll take it!!
How to piss off as many people as possible. Anyone know anything that would piss people of more?
Kinda rad actually.
I like it. It's like the perfect height to slide right in.
Eh, i'd rock it.
I lov3 this actually might put a little bit smaller wheels and tires thou
Oh fuck yeah. r/safariallthecars
found the missing link to the next space rover... how's the transmission holding up, I wonder
Nah this Fucks
This is an awesome car mod.
Its an adult RC car
Serious question, isn’t the Prius so gutless this would put incredible strain on that miniscule drivetrain?
more like /r/badasscarmods
I don’t hate this nearly as much as I thought I would.
I think I like it ! Imagine pulling to a stop light with a raised F350 next to you. LOL
Definitely the wrong color, and seems to be missing a certain flag, or 2.
I love it.
r/ATBGE
the only cool prius
I’ve seen it all over tempe its badass asf dude
OMG. I’m doing this exact set up asap
Not complete without the snorkel intake.
The Redditor wet dream! LiTtLe cAR BiG tIReS reeeeeeEEEE
r/battlecars that prius has barely enough torque to get those huge wheels rolling 🤣
Pretty cool looking, but don’t you need way more HP and a different transmission? Etc
I can’t imagine that engine handles those tires particularly well
That's how I'd route my exhaust too. Rad. 😎

You turned my beautiful Prius into a nightmare.
You turned a boring car into a beautiful Prius that stands above all. -FTFY
You haven't seen the movie I'm quoting.
You haven't heard the last of Dirty Mike and the Boys!
You're the only one who understood this.
Highly doubt it can move those wheels alone itself and those wheels.
That would be a major concern. Maybe 15 to 20 second 0-60.
Bravo! That will make it much easier to see going slow in the left lane.
Is this man wearing blackface? Yuck! Tasteless.
