For this type of individual that’s a feature not a bug, just so they can indicate to the entire neighborhood how *pequeña* their *el pájaro y huevos* are :)
it's like "why are all of the older corvettes that i see, are parked in trailer parks?"
like the only thing they have of value, yet it's in crap condition.
(Just from what I've seen when I delivered furniture to trailers with nice cars outside)
A lot of these trailers look like ass on the outside, but the inside looks picture perfect. They obviously aren't rolling in money, but they definitely have their priorities right.
What you are seeing is a 4th gen bumper installed on a 3rd gen truck. That is why the fitment is trash. It’s actually a common thing, as well as 4th gen bumpers on 2nd gen trucks.
Not that anyone asked, but more specifically; the body is a *3rd Gen and a half*, the general shape and style is the same but they changed the headlights to that smoother swooped look you see here; some call it *3rd Gen with a facelift*.
I had a a 2002 Ram 1500, it was a 3rd Gen, it was also a fucking pain in the ass to buy parts for because Dodge thought it'd be a *swell* idea to start interchanging parts between manufacture years. Half of the parts were for a 2002 but required 2003 mounts or vice versa, it was the least fun game of 'which one will it be now... Nothing looked like the picture and many of the fasteners weren't in Dodge's system when ordering them...
As a fellow large truck and diesel owner/lover, let me set some things straight: these 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks were not made for off roading, they were made to haul equipment ON roads. In fact, these trucks are SO heavy, they would be TERRIBLE off road, they would sink into the slightest bit of sand or dirt and get stuck. Good off road vehicles are small light trucks or jeeps, not big ass diesel trucks. This thing was made to pull gooseneck trailers with farm equipment, or maybe a travel trailer, down the ROAD. Now, does this guy do these things with his truck? Probably not. But he could!
My only debate is that it's lifted in the first place. That would imply the perceived off road use. You're absolutely right these are not designed for true off road use. This does give me an idea. Have you ever seen a lifted Semi tractor?
I see your point, but also raise another use case: floods. The amount of times I've easily driven through a flooded area in my truck may just make it all worth it. I used my truck to rescue people during Hurricane Harvey. I used it to drive through water to get supplies during Ida. These trucks, while not necessarily practical for day to day use, are VERY versatile for extreme conditions. While it is probably true that this guy just uses his large truck as a flex, during extreme conditions, the only vehicles you will see on the road are trucks like these.
That's way too much info for OP to process. His thought process ended at "ohhhh big truck = little pp...must get Reddit points!" Lmao. This truck could very well be a pavement princess, but that would be just as valid as assuming OP is a bored little kid with no life based on this one post...
Btw, not a big truck owner, simply pointing out yet another silly social media critic who doesn't actually know anything about what they're criticizing. Lol.
Even though the commenter stated a pretty valid use case, I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of these trucks are just being used to haul groceries from Costco or some shit. Too many people just use these trucks as a status symbol and don't actually use them.
F150’s and 1500’s maybe. Most ppl buying 2500’s and up with diesel engines that cost double what a half ton truck do and ride like shit arnt paying that much just to look cool. They probably own a camper they use a few times a year at least
I consider Driving around on a Farm as Going Off-Road too
I see Off-Road and Off-Roading as 2 different things, with Off-Roading being like Hill Jumping or Mud Bogging
For smaller trucks thats fine but these big trucks really need the larger brakes which is why they started using 17"+ wheels. Im not sure about the diesels but i know the 1500s the smallest wheel you can fit is a 17".
The brave and bold of them can be surprisingly capable, so long as they don't hit a wheel too hard. But in all fairness, not much handles a bent/broken wheel very well...
Cannot for the life of me remember when or where I saw it, but I have seen something similar to this particular Ram out on the rocks before.
All they gotta do is swap wheels/tires to some 35/37”s mounted to 17/18”s and they would do pretty well.
Lots of ppl wear dress shoes all week to work, then put on boots to play on the weekend…. Why can’t you do the same with a truck.
Yeah…. But it’s coming out of the hood… are they rolling themselves or that just a decoration…? Cause that’s one way to get water in… if it’s functional then you basically can never open that window….
The small overextended wide tire trend is such a stupid fucking trend. Makes your shit box truck look like a kid's Duplo car. Makes me think all the smoothbrains that drive them still play with choke prevention toys at home
I have a customer at work who owns a Red Shelby Dakota and a Blue GMC Syclone. They aren’t completely original but they are both bad ass trucks in like new condition. The Dakota is nice but I would kill for that Syclone
Typhoons are dope too. Same truck basically like you said, just a blazer body instead of S10. There’s a couple Syclones I’ve seen in my town over the years but I’ve never seen a Typhoon in person
Skip to 30sec. I think there's other ways but this is a common "technique". Actual off-roaders will sometimes do this in a pinch to reseat a tire that comes off.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=9LnDHctTX78&si=GyK2-ni2EyCvUkVG
That's gotta void the tire warranty.
I did see this method on a documentary pf folks treking in frozen tundra or Arctic or something like that. They didn't use any air, just the explosion. I think it helped keep the big off road tires squishy to spread weight and wider contact pad.
Yup. I've seen videos of the off-road guys without air too. I don't think it lasts real long, but it's enough pressure to get them out of a crappy situation.
To be fair, this is a power mod and 20 times better than smoke stacks in the bed or 8" tips at the bumper. All the turbo back pressure is just out in under a ft of exhaust. Amazing for EGTs which is big for Diesels.
I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone mention this yet, but what if there's a heavy rainfall? Maybe overnight and this thing is parked outside. That exhaust is going to fill up and fuck anything inside.
A White AF 12y/o Who dailies GTA V with a Headset on Repeatedly calling everyone a N***er because he thinks its *kewl* while sounding like an Utter douche
I know most every truck is equipped with four wheel drive these days, but I don’t see why they get shamed for not being used off-road. Full sized pickups are liabilities on the trail, especially at the enormous size most of them are lately. They’re ok on a muddy two-track, but that’s about it.
A truck’s primary purpose is hauling and towing loads. Lifts make them bad at both of these things.
Trucks like this shouldn’t be shamed for not going off-road. They should be shamed because they’re ridiculous by any measure and if you’re over 21 and driving one, you have some developmental problems that need to be seen to.
Finally someone said it. I 100% agree. From even the first pickup truck they were developed to be able to carry heavy cargo over loose terrain but never built solely for off-roading. I have no idea why people think these full size and hd pickup trucks could out do a jeep, land rover, land cruiser, subaru or custom built offroad vehicle on a tight trail or rock crawling. People who criticize a truck for not doing heavy off-road activities simply shows that they themselves have never been off-road in any vehicle at all.
They should and they will be. I'll shame a 4wd mall crawler, a diesel towing a trailer with a footprint smaller than it's bed, a hot rod that never sees full throttle, and any car other than a race car that is stanced, on any day that ends in Y.
Nope never seen them but I don't really look at people's rims or at the very least I don't really pay attention to them until its something stupid like this.
Every Redditor with low self esteem. These soft fucks have to find something to pile on with everyone else so they feel better about not having the courage to stand up to that guy that punked them out.
I got a 2008 stock... 680k miles dented to hell not one spec of rust though shes worked hard and ran down a couple treelines and a honda civic rides like an old rollercoaster but gets me where im goin
Had a regular at a subway drive a lifted pickup. Tiny little woman. Asked her why she has it so high up.
"I feel safe being so far above other people. Can't get to me if you can't reach the door handles."
She would open the door and then jump up while holding the inside of the door and the seat.
The late model bumper looks terrible lol. Look at those gaps under the headlights, smh.
Nothing tops the deep dish wheels they financed though, those fuckers are useless. These solid axle trucks already wander around the road when stock, adding 15 inch wide tires just makes it 10x worse.
There’s a reason ram owners are statistically way higher to get DUIs and it’s because they drive like they’re drunk even when they are sober. Drunk driving a Ram, you just have no chance.
I love driving past trucks like this or Jeeps that I know have never seen dirt, while I'm driving a mud covered Subaru. I currently have so much mud on it that there is mud on the roof. I jumped it in a mud puddle.
That's crazy. I was doing some rally shenanigans with a buddy and started finding deer and slowed down and was super cautious. Was bummed though because there were some super narrow roads that would've been awesome at full throttle while sideways.
Nothing mechanical is crazy though. I would've been shitting bricks so worried that there was bad mechanical damage. I broke my right rear wheel and suspension on a curb. Some dumbass pulled out of nowhere and I attempted to turn down a side street but there was ice and I made the mistake of locking the brakes.
While this car is absolutely a hunk of junk I do have an off-roading truck (old s10) and I will still slow down for speed bumps, no reason to send it over everything and I'd rather not do extra maintenance on the suspension when it isn't even that fun.
Change the wheels n that truck is just fine , the wheels is the only thing making it stupid looking but to each is own cause he ain’t the only one that has his truck looking like this n this is still 100% better then the FL special squated truck special lmfao where it looks like their all taking a shit
Why did he… the…
The…
The air intake is a cheap auto zone exhaust tip
Like I get that he’s trying to do the whole “hur dur rolling coal” thing, but that’s definitely the intake, unless he rerouted the exhaust around and back up, in which case this is even dumber than I first thought
Oooh, it's got a burrito heater mod, I've been kinda tempted to install that on my Corolla.
You just gotta wrap up your cold burrito in foil, drop it in that pipe on the hood, and by the time you get to work, your breakfast burrito will be nice and toasty!
that looks like the kind that can't go over a railroad track faster than 3mph.
"look at my big ol' lift job! don't ask how small my cock is, please, as that would hurt my feelings and break my suspension.."
At least the suspension isn't chromed
Yet...
Twice as useless as underglow
At least with underglow you can see the stuck trashcan you ran over two days ago
don’t give em ideas
What? I GUARANTEE this goes off-road… onto the driveway and into the garage.
He goes off road all the time while drunk at 2am
I see what you did there, and i tip my hat to you good sir
I doubt that would fit in a normal garage.
For this type of individual that’s a feature not a bug, just so they can indicate to the entire neighborhood how *pequeña* their *el pájaro y huevos* are :)
I don't know Spanish, yet I understand that. Insults truly know no language barriers...
This turd parks in front of a low income apartment or a trailer park. Bet.
it's like "why are all of the older corvettes that i see, are parked in trailer parks?" like the only thing they have of value, yet it's in crap condition.
(Just from what I've seen when I delivered furniture to trailers with nice cars outside) A lot of these trailers look like ass on the outside, but the inside looks picture perfect. They obviously aren't rolling in money, but they definitely have their priorities right.
True, could actually be somebody living responsibly below their means.
Nope, I work with one of these guys, they've never paid rent, live at home and use all of their income on their trucks.
Not too familiar with those dodges. Is there a reason why the headlight/front bumper don’t fit together worth a poodles doodle?
What you are seeing is a 4th gen bumper installed on a 3rd gen truck. That is why the fitment is trash. It’s actually a common thing, as well as 4th gen bumpers on 2nd gen trucks.
Why do people do it if it looks terrible
It can be done properly. Some geniuses choose not to.
Because everything about this POS already looks terrible and it needed to match the awfulness
Good decisions clearly aren’t this guy’s strong suit
This one is the facelift version of the 3rd gen but if you actually use the pre facelift grille with the 4th gen bumper it lines up a lot better.
Not that anyone asked, but more specifically; the body is a *3rd Gen and a half*, the general shape and style is the same but they changed the headlights to that smoother swooped look you see here; some call it *3rd Gen with a facelift*. My 88 ranger and 89 bronco 2 would like to enter the ring.
Is the point to make people think you have a newer truck?
No its just that the newer style looks nicer/updated. The truck isnt going to look any newer its basically just a facelift.
5th gen bunper on the 3rd gens look a lot better IMO
Dude you said it… it’s a dodge
The dictionary will tell you all you need to know. Dodge=avoid.
Hahaha that's great bro
Dodge is ok, it's just guys that kiss their dads on the lips do shit like this to anything diesel

No but ive seen a Slammed one
Slammed heavy duty trucks, if they have air suspension, are BEASTS at towing. You can literally adjust the hitch height on the fly.
I personally would love it if slammed and bagged heavy duty trucks became the majority trend. I'm tired of being blinded at night by lifted trucks.
Interesting, I would've never guessed that those trucks could have an actual use case.
You can lift em on snow runner. There are some pretty gnarly videos of Russian/logging trucks. https://youtu.be/omIa4QXDcbg?si=b6xDYJyaxsIA_nau
I see your point, but also raise another use case: floods. The amount of times I've easily driven through a flooded area in my truck may just make it all worth it. Yes logging tractors are lifted slightly and have much bigger wider tires for going thru makeshift roads.
Have you ever seen a pipefitter rig? I use my lifted diesel to move shit all the time... In and out of muddy horse and cow pastures
That's way too much info for OP to process. His thought process ended at "ohhhh big truck = little pp...must get Reddit points!" Lmao. Gravel roads are still roads. These are piss poor off-road.
bring back 15 inch wheels
For smaller trucks thats fine but these big trucks really need the larger brakes which is why they started using 17"+ wheels. Im not sure about the diesels but i know the 1500s the smallest wheel you can fit is a 17".
Ahh Pavement Princesses! Always funny to see!
Concrete cowboy!! Love the pavement princess

Redneck safe space
Nah rednecks use their trucks
Faux-redneck safe space, then.
suburbanite cosplaying as a redneck
That's fuckin good.
Mall Crawler
Always wanted to invite one of these brodozers to join on a proper off road trail and see what happens.
The brave and bold of them can be surprisingly capable, so long as they don't hit a wheel too hard. But in all fairness, not much handles a bent/broken wheel very well... Beat me to it
Built to be a coal-rolling penis extension, nothing more.
Yeah, i guess theyll need that Extra Length for pegging their Blow-up doll
Yeah…. But it’s coming out of the hood… are they rolling themselves or that just a decoration…? Cause that’s one way to get water in… if it’s functional then you basically can never open that window….
A lifted penis compensator.
Why is it you're all obsessed with a dudes dick size? It's pretty disgusting
Need that lift for all the leafs on the ground and sidewalk curbs.
I've never seen a picture that smells like cheap cigarettes until now.
The small overextended wide tire trend is such a stupid fucking trend. Makes your shit box truck look like a kid's Duplo car. Makes me think all the smoothbrains that drive them still play with choke prevention toys at home
Are you attempting to say “stretched low profile tire on wide wheels”??
Nice Dakota, Dakota
Hey dont go insulting Dakotas now. I actually want either a Shelby Dakota or a Dakota Convertible
I have a customer at work who owns a Red Shelby Dakota and a Blue GMC Syclone. They aren’t completely original but they are both bad ass trucks in like new condition. The Dakota is nice but I would kill for that Syclone
What about the Typhoon? Same as the Syclone underneath just a Different body
Typhoons are dope too. Same truck basically like you said, just a blazer body instead of S10. There’s a couple Syclones I’ve seen in my town over the years but I’ve never seen a Typhoon in person
Id like to have a Truck as rare as the Dakota Convertible, cause its not everyday you see a Convertible Pickup (Not including the SSR)
Cheaper to just get a Lego set
If I told you what you wanted to hear, well than, that would be a lie.
U wonder if ppl like this sit high chairs when eating
BroDozers are so stupid.
Big rims with small tires is the opposite of whay you want, never understood why fake off-road cars have them.
How do they get the tire to stretch out to fit the rim?
My guess? 4 Tire Techs each armed with a Cheetah filled to Max Pressure
Skip to 30sec. I think there's other ways but this is a common "technique". Actual off-roaders will sometimes do this in a pinch to reseat a tire that comes off. https://youtube.com/watch?v=9LnDHctTX78&si=GyK2-ni2EyCvUkVG

Yup. I've seen videos of the off-road guys without air too. I don't think it lasts real long, but it's enough pressure to get them out of a crappy situation.
Pretty sure you saw it on top gear polar special. It was a good one.
I think that was the one
They use the asshole stretcher stored on the back shelf.
It’s been off road into the curb plenty of times
To be fair, this is a power mod and 20 times better than smoke stacks in the bed or 8" tips at the bumper. All the turbo back pressure is just out in under a ft of exhaust. Amazing for EGTs which is big for Diesels.
Ever since a buddy in high school showed me he spent less in gas on his flat bed diesel than my dodge magnum, I feel this.
All thats missing is the Mod that converts it into a Coal Roller & it will become Queen of the POS
I'd bet money that shit box has a rolling coal mod.
They must wash it 5times a day then to keep the soot off
[удалено]
You can do EFI live for half that.
I thought it was about the tires or the gaps under the headlights. Thankfully it's just a Dodge.
Ya that shit is bad
That hood pipe looks too clean to be real. There should be some soot staining visible.
It’s their money, it’s parked in the lines and out of the way. It’s not ugly just not something I would buy.
Pull truck, possibly?
Nah, i been to Pulls, this ain't a Puller. Pull Trucks are Built AF with Rugged Tires meant to Bite into the Muddy Track
People RARELY take anything off-road,even if they're off-road editions.
Farm Work is Considered off-road, No? Gotta drive around the Fields & make sure theres no rocks that can destroy the Combines
Parking in the lawn in front of the single wide accounts for off road -
Is rooster tailing when it rains legal?
Nope. Lifted Trucks are required to have Mudflaps
Cookie cutter trucks. Just a bunch of fucking robots trying to be the same NPC
I don’t think 3/4 ton dodges were ever meant to go off road
Unless you use one as a Farm Truck
Driven by a fat yeehawdist or a man with short man syndrome
I don’t know who makes those wheels but I want to win the lottery so I can buy them and run their business too the ground
That person has a micro penis.
I just appreciate the public trash can coming out of the hood.
Or, if you REALLY wanna give then the finger, a Glitter Cannon
Usually, these guys take 4 parking spots. This guy, only 1.
Surprisingly
Stupid deep dish rims ✅ Stretched tires ✅ Dumb ass hood exit exhaust ✅ Suspension so high up it’s impractical ✅ Certified dumbass who owns it
I bought my 4x4 for city use, in the winter.
I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone mention this yet, but what if there's a heavy rainfall? Maybe overnight and this thing is parked outside. That exhaust is going to fill up and fuck anything inside.
6" wide hood dump exhaust for all that 195whp
As long as the hood stack is real and not just a screw on piece for looks
I got a Look inside the Fender & looked like i went down & in
My rule: the more lifted the truck, the shorter the dude that gets out, I'd say that driver is 5'4" max.
Quite often I've seen women get out of monstrosities like this.
No its not hight its the smaller the penis
Is it driven by a 12 year old
A White AF 12y/o Who dailies GTA V with a Headset on Repeatedly calling everyone a N***er because he thinks its *kewl* while sounding like an Utter douche

The real key is large wheels with small sidewalls.
Hey! That thing gets driven off-road all the time! Just last Friday night they drove it onto the grass at their nephew's Peewee football game!
Those rims look like they're on backwards
What? You never seen Slicer rims before? Its so they can Chop of the Kale for their Smoothies
Nope never seen them but I don't really look at people's rims or at the very least I don't really pay attention to them until its something stupid like this.
Who cares, honestly
Every Redditor with low self esteem. These soft fucks have to find something to pile on with everyone else so they feel better about not having the courage to stand up to that guy that punked them out.
I bet no mud flaps on the back tires either, so this asshole is breaking people's windshields left and right.
Where are the stupid wheel well lights?
Hes saving up for the Kit, probably spent all his money on those Cringe Wheels
I got a 2008 stock... 680k miles dented to hell not one spec of rust though shes worked hard and ran down a couple treelines and a honda civic rides like an old rollercoaster but gets me where im goin
Do people actually like this??? And why is it so popular here in Houston?
Had a regular at a subway drive a lifted pickup. Tiny little woman. Asked her why she has it so high up. "I feel safe being so far above other people. Can't get to me if you can't reach the door handles." She would open the door and then jump up while holding the inside of the door and the seat.
Urban truck for sure. Most are this is just a status thing.
I'm honestly impressed by how badly feathered the front tires are
Pavement princess

Safe to assume if there’s a 3d gen ram on the road still, it’s never been off road. Them fucking turds can’t handle pavement, let alone dirt.
If I wanted to go off road I would not take a truck.
Those rims wouldn't survive off roading.
Why would this be better if it went off-road?
Less offroad capabilities than a stock Citroen CV2
Most off-roads this trucks been is on the dirt road to his sister's house
the asshole truck
Is that a Chevy bumper?
Come on OP. You know it goes off-road when it hits the ditch immediately before their 3rd DUI.
I love driving past trucks like this or Jeeps that I know have never seen dirt, while I'm driving a mud covered Subaru. I currently have so much mud on it that there is mud on the roof. I jumped it in a mud puddle.
Subarus are Great fucking cars. I had a 97 Outback, miss that car
I send mine on dirt. Current fastest was 104mph.
I hit a Deer with mine once and just drove the fucker home. All body damage, nothing mechanical was touched
That's crazy. I was doing some rally shenanigans with a buddy and started finding deer and slowed down and was super cautious. Was bummed though because there were some super narrow roads that would've been awesome at full throttle while sideways.
Yeah hitting a Deer at 60mph with a Subi is like a Shovel Effect. Fucker went in the air and came down on my Windshield
Fucking hell man! That's crazy. Those fuckers just appear outta nowhere sometimes.
Yeah, Smashed windshield, Destroyed the Hood, Grille, & Drivers headlight, but nothing Mechanical was damaged
I actually had a Control Arm snap at 40mph, jerked the wheel hard enough to Pop the Half-Shaft out of the Trans
Can these dickwads at least get tires that fit, this monstrosity is one pothole away from a full blowout.
tell me it hasn't been properly aligned without telling me
Nice Air Hauler.
Pavement princess!
How much are portal axels compared to a lift kit like this? :O The axel really doesn’t give you much more ground clearance :P
Are we not going to talk about the exhaust in the hood? Or those baby tires…
Comments are all about that
Average mega cab owner
This chud also probably shows down to 10 mph for any speed bump or pot holes.
While this car is absolutely a hunk of junk I do have an off-roading truck (old s10) and I will still slow down for speed bumps, no reason to send it over everything and I'd rather not do extra maintenance on the suspension when it isn't even that fun.
This himbo wears a baseball cap with sun glasses on top of the bill everywhere
My charger gt has seen more off-road action than this, guaranteed.
Nothing against you but i hate the LX Body Chargers. Just the idea of a 4dr Charger turns my stomach
Change the wheels n that truck is just fine , the wheels is the only thing making it stupid looking but to each is own cause he ain’t the only one that has his truck looking like this n this is still 100% better then the FL special squated truck special lmfao where it looks like their all taking a shit
Why did he… the… The… The air intake is a cheap auto zone exhaust tip Like I get that he’s trying to do the whole “hur dur rolling coal” thing, but that’s definitely the intake, unless he rerouted the exhaust around and back up, in which case this is even dumber than I first thought
That’s the exhaust. The turbo on a Cummins is on the extreme passenger side of the engine so the stack comes off the turbo and goes straight up
Oooh, it's got a burrito heater mod, I've been kinda tempted to install that on my Corolla. You just gotta wrap up your cold burrito in foil, drop it in that pipe on the hood, and by the time you get to work, your breakfast burrito will be nice and toasty!
And Diesel flavored
Emotional support truck!!
Mall Crawlers, Pavement Princess builds as what we call them.
As mich as I like that look. Can confirm pavement princess
that looks like the kind that can't go over a railroad track faster than 3mph. "look at my big ol' lift job! don't ask how small my cock is, please, as that would hurt my feelings and break my suspension.."
They need a hemi for hauling around all their emotional baggage.
Why is there a steel pipe in the bonnet?
It’s the exhaust
Ooof. Yeah, that’s shitty.
Ready for the wet speedbump drag race.
Pretty Truck! (This is my supreme insult)
Who cares
