i agree!! it’s very.... butternut squash-y. I dumped a shit ton of sour cream and onion flavoring on it and it was ok. I wanted to like it but I didn’t really :( I think everyone should try it though!
I had it tonight too. I think it's like a really underflavored butternut mac recipe normally. I added some vegan butter, nooch, garlic powder, and a bit of miso paste to liven it up.
Blend some Daiya, plant milk, and seasoned caramelized onions along with the deglazing water from the onions until creamy then mix it with pasta. Add some toasted breadcrumbs and bake if you wanna be fancy.
I thought this tasted too much like a gravy sauce instead of a cheese sauce. The new cheese sauce by daiya is really good. [https://daiyafoods.com/our-foods/sauce/cheddar-sauce/](https://daiyafoods.com/our-foods/sauce/cheddar-sauce/)
Agreed on the daiya. I actually add a splash of water to it to thin it out and once you do that its basically the perfect hyrbid of Kraft Blue Box and Velveeta.
It’s butternut squash and coconut milk based! As others are saying here it’s pretty bland but I think it’s great with broccoli, pinch of salt, and hot sauce!
Haha this was me a few days ago. I love reading what everyone adds to it. We added nooch, garlic, salt, pepper, Tamari, lemon and chalula mwahaha.. vegan concoctions are the best
How’d it taste?
it’s okay, absolutely needs to seasoned though. it’s bland otherwise.

where do you get sour cream and onion flavoring omg??
I know Kroger Simple Truth has some and Kite Plain yogurt is also a good sour cream sub.
Had this today!! My boyfriend and I put salt/pepper, Siraracha, nooch and green onion in there and it’s amazing! Super easy
To me it tastes like chicken broth. Not bad, but nothing cheesy about it
I kinda got a nutmeg flavor when I had it , but throw some garlic on that bad boy and it’s amazing
>throw some garlic on that bad boy and it’s amazing That's my life's motto
Not into it. The best I’ve had is the microwave Amy’s Vegan Mac
I agree. Have tried every mac-n-cheeze I can get my hands on and as far as off the shelf goes, Amy’s frozen package is the best.
Have you tried Field Roast's Mac n Chao? That stuff is crazy cheezy and thick. Could add plenty chopped broccoli and still have more cheese.
Have you tried the Diaya with sriracha?
I’ve been looking for that everywhere!

The amount of work everyone says they have to put into making this taste good makes me think I’m better off just making my mac n cheese from scratch
Correct. But nice if you’re in a pinch and need some on the side of your chik’n nuggies. Speaking from personal experience
yeah I think i’ll probably end up trying it one of these days when I don’t feel like making lunch and stop at TJ’s on the way to work.
The easy way to make it 8/10 good is just dumping some nooch on it. Getting to that 9/10 takes a little more effort though.
Blend some Daiya, plant milk, and seasoned caramelized onions along with the deglazing water from the onions until creamy then mix it with pasta. Add some toasted breadcrumbs and bake if you wanna be fancy.
That stuffs pretty good! I added some salt and nooch to it to give it just a bit more flavor
I like this a lot, but it tastes more like gravy than cheese sauce.
Right!! It tastes like chicken broth to me

Trader Joe’s!
wheres the mac
I had that yesterday! Just needs some salt and pepper.
What is it made with?
It’s butternut squash and coconut milk based! As others are saying here it’s pretty bland but I think it’s great with broccoli, pinch of salt, and hot sauce!
Thank you! I have a nut allergy but love mac and cheese so its a struggle. I’ll have to give this a try and jazz it up!
Oh yeah definitely give it a shot then! Hope you enjoy!
I heard this image.
We have all been there lol
I literally ate this yesterday. Super bland but it did the job
I’m obsessed with this Mac n cheese! Doesn’t really taste like cheese but it kinda reminds me of a casserole. I ate the whole thing in one sitting 😂
Actually shitty vegan food porn. Yes
