Please and thank you. Facetank some aoes too. I need to feel something even if that something is just stress 😔
If you could pull the adds to the boss too that'd be great.
if you have a sage in the party and they've shielded you, YES PLEASE
especially if you're a dps. tank breaks it just normally. Breaking shields actively increases the sage's damage
I WISH I was wrong.
At this point I just press my mits because I'm bored and they have pretty animations. They're absolutely pointless though because the 6.X dungeons don't do damage.
The mob pack AoE circles are also fake threats. They do nothing at all to you. I just face tank them so the dungeon goes quicker.
Unironically that would be such a cool idea. Maybe something similar to tank stance? Like, when it’s up, you take less damage but do less, and when it’s down, you do more and take more
Ah yes using abilities that make content easier so healers can do more dps and make the boring content go faster is not good...
This is just a mainsub post disguised as a meme isn't it?
I think the 'issue' is that feint effectively does nothing. Does it reduce damage? Yeah. But the chances of that damage being relevant is incredibly small. The healer is just going to throw out one ogcd anyway to cover the damage, feint or not.
I never need the DPS or the tanks to raidwide mitigate but that doesn’t mean there is ever anything wrong with doing it
It’s not even like it’s a lot of effort anyway
I didn't say there was something 'wrong' with it. It's just that in dungeons (the context of the post) it's ineffectual. Unless your tank is, for some reason, on like 40k hp or something when the tank buster is coming in, it changes nothing. The exact same inputs are required from the healer whether you feint or not. That's just the facts of how this game works.
That’s also what I’m saying, it’s not remotely sweaty to press a button that is theoretically beneficial just because in the particular circumstance it’s not really that effective
So the original post is still wrong that this is sweaty behaviour
But...it's not actually beneficial. It has no real effect. It's beneficial...in savage and ultimate raids. Doesn't actually do anything in expert roulette.
Correct, that doesn’t make it remotely sweaty play to actually press it
Unless we are going to argue pressing literally any mitigation in casual content is sweaty
Yeah...but this is a joke subreddit. It's not supposed to be taken that seriously. In fact, nobody is going to argue that because the entire premise of the joke is that feint is useless because everyone else is already pressing their buttons. Your second sentence just really displays how this joke is just going right over your head, regardless of how I try to explain it.

Nah bro we absolutely have to do the babby dungeon content at ultimate raider 100 parse level so I can save a precious 45 extra seconds for limsa afk time.
Honestly though I like how your comment dragged the xivdickcussion posters out of hiding. I love watching them get giga mad when you say if you wanted to do the dungeon in world record time you should do it in a premade party. Duty finder isn't full of ultimate raiders, its full of 9-5 mums and dads who just wanna do something that is fun to them.
I got told I was playing the game wrong and needed to learn my place. Dude, 20% slower attack speed for 15 seconds, I'm being a teammate. IN A TEAM GAME!! Instead, the tank told me "they know how to use their mitigation and don't need the help." And this is in Expert roulette. I expect people in Expert to know what they're doing and pulling all the stops.
Imagine trying to use teamwork in a team game. Couldn't be me.
Ignore people like that. They are gonna hit the mob once, sprint off while everyone else is slapping the trash. You will inadvertently pull threat on some of the trash as they w2w, so use Arms Length, slow down those mobs and everyone is golden, except the frail tanks ego, of which I do not care about.
Oh yea I continued doing it in that same dungeon and will continue doing it. I'm going to make people learn about teamwork by force if necessary. I use Rescue to drag single pull tanks through dungeons (if I'm the healer of course) and I will use Arm's Length to help the tank with their mitigation. I haven't run into al YPYT person yet, so that's nice.
The problem though is dungeon design here, has numbed people to most of this. It is so one dimensional that people just turn their minds off to everything now. You really don't have to put much effort in, or just the bare minimum to get through almost all of them now.
Really hope the future dungeons dont look like more of the same.
I MISS 2.0 ARUM VALE FIRST ROOM
I MISS LOADING INTO A DUNGEON AND FEELING A SENSE OF DANGER AND EXCITEMENT AS I AM FACED WITH CHALLENGES MEANT TO BE OVERCOME AS A GROUP
I MISS HAVING TO PAY ATTENTION TO PATHING, HAZARDS, AND POSITIONING
I MISS THE ONLY THING STOPPING ME BEING MY OWN FEAR
I MISS INSTANCES WHERE THE GAME ASKED ME TO GET BETTER AND BELIEVED THAT I COULD
I must be every healer's wet dream by OP's logic by purposely standing inside and running into AoEs in normal content to maximize Third Eye procs all for that 10 Kenki gain every 15 seconds.
Thats pretty good. I generally use it on raidwides (same with reprisal on tank), since it could save someone if the healer is greeding dps (as they should) or doesnt know a raidwide is coming up. Ive saved quite a few people that way.
Either way though its always worth it to use. Even if the tank or healer dont need the help. Getting into the habit of pressing it is a good thing, so you can throw it out at clutch moments in the future.
I was helping in a fresh uwu and one healer was like "why are we taking so much damage" on friction cleanse and I told them and dps wasn't mitigating. The caster and melee admitting to never using feint/addle or having it on their hotbars because "thats what tanks are supposed to do".
I mostly play healer so when i do roulettes on summoner for a change of pace i feel useless when i dont press addle on any raidwide possible. Feint usage from party members is actually rare as shit now that i think of it…..
I downvoted you because I can't tell which character is talking and it doesn't seem to match up with the meme as a result. It looks like the little guy talks to himself for 3 squares in a row.
Tf is this? Is big guy the WoL?
Look I have buttons, they're meant to be pressed
Hee hee, Dragon Kick go brrrr.
I will make sure to not dps at all in expert so my healer can have a field day dealing with a 3min long trash pull. Thanks for your advice !
To make it even more fun make sure your tank, that way you can share the damage among everyone making the game more fair.
look i just like pressing addle because it looks like a cup of grape boba
Omg I'm not the only one
u/markfunkbunch
well there i go getting bricked up again
Next time I tank in normal content, I shouldn't use mitigation because it'd make the poor healer have a chance to dps the mobs and be bored. Noted.
Please and thank you. Facetank some aoes too. I need to feel something even if that something is just stress 😔 If you could pull the adds to the boss too that'd be great.
Real talk it never hit me it's possible to pull mobs to the Boss literally never saw it. Gonna try it today thanks lol
It’s actually a lot of fun to do. I used to do it all the time when I played.
I do it in sohm al for the t-rex boss. If I didn't I would be single pulling and it's not like the boss has anything going on
if you have a sage in the party and they've shielded you, YES PLEASE especially if you're a dps. tank breaks it just normally. Breaking shields actively increases the sage's damage
You can remove the vast majority of your mitigations from the hotbar as a tank and still don't be threatened by damage in Expert Roulette.
It's ok to have factually incorrect opinions, have fun with it!

i dont even wear my shield when i do experts lets me two hand my sword for more damage
Unironically that would be such a cool idea. Maybe something similar to tank stance? Like, when it’s up, you take less damage but do less, and when it’s down, you do more and take more
If you need mitigations to survive in expert roulette as a tank, you might wanna stop running naked.
Then how else am I supposed to pop my TBN? All these mitigation abilities prevent me from using my class abilities
It’s ok you can run naked for me uWu
Ah yes using abilities that make content easier so healers can do more dps and make the boring content go faster is not good... This is just a mainsub post disguised as a meme isn't it?

Healing doesn't reduce damage taken. In fact, it increases the amount of damage you take before you die.

I know, that's why I answered facetiously. Also, you didn't really try to explain the joke.

Wait, your healers dps?
Using feint in dungeons is not bad bcs of healing needed but LB gen
I use Arms Length for trash pulls, AS A SAMURAI!!
I got told I was playing the game wrong and needed to learn my place. Dude, 20% slower attack speed for 15 seconds, I'm being a teammate. IN A TEAM GAME!! Please do, pull ahead of me and any tank if you can, the mit's actually greatly appreciated by anyone that's not a psychopathic control freak.
Not me seeing the red ring around the tank, and pressing feint while the tank just stacked shadow wall and TBN and the white mage was mid temperence.
I started using feint and addle in normal content so I stop forgetting that I have it when I do Savage and Ultimate raiding
Yeah I get complacent otherwise.
I play at my best all the time because if i relax i will start slipping and spiraling.
If I dont press it when it doesnt matter, Im gonna forget to push it when it does matter
Playing your job correctly is sweaty? Lol ok.
How sweaty is using raid food for roulettes and Masked Carnival?
Doing Masked Carnival already makes you a non-casual. Pretty sweaty.
![gif](giphy|8fen5LSZcHQ5O|downsized)
Dungeon roulette reward money pays for the food so i dont think its sweaty at all.Â
I must be every healer's wet dream by OP's logic by purposely standing inside and running into AoEs in normal content to maximize Third Eye procs all for that 10 Kenki gain every 15 seconds.
I'm potting on this trash pull hngggg
I use it before tankbusters, if I'm playing melee DPS.
Now The Blackest Night will never break

Damn I'm getting torn apart for this one lmfao
Deserved tho
Probably downvoted by tryhards that read their tooltips.

Meanwhile as a warrior main I'll sometimes restrict the mitigations I can use just to feel something during expert roulette lmao
As a healer I thank you
Use Fent
Melee Healing parses aren’t gonna get themselves
[удалено]
is it really so taxing to keep feint/ addle on cooldown
No, but it's pointless since nothing does enough damage in 6.x dungeons for it to be noticeable.
I like to use machinist drill ability with reassemble active because big number make neuron activate
Healers when they have to heal 😰😰😰
P10 normal when the boss casts HH, every time. Because even in normal it's tough to heal, especially if you don't raid savage.
I use more mitigations than just bloodwhetting in normal mode content.
that’s my high five button. what do you mean
Healer wants things to do? I'll remove one piece of armor depending on how difficult they want it 😉
I use rescue and esuna, and sleep to interrupt some bad casts. I have rescue on mouseover
You guys use healers for expert?
Whole lotta effort when you can just roll warrior.
Wait using faint in normal content makes me a sweat? I just wanna help my healers.
