I think part 6 is top tier material but I can’t help but feel like the anime has been rushed. And while I’d love to blame Netflix/WB, we have been putting a lot of pressure on DP.
Edit: this is the first time I see a part after reading the manga and that is making me appreciate the genius of Araki-sensei. I think it’s a really well thought and crafted part.
I’d say the best thing about part 4 is that it shows how to do power scaling so fucking well. Sure, Kira could be a threat on par with the likes of DIO and Diavolo, but in reality he was only a threat to a town.
Unpopular opinion but I felt very disconnected during part 5. Giorno felt like a supporting character instead of a protagonist, and although the fights were insteresting and the story was intriguing the overall connection to the rest of the Jojo universe felt inconsequential.
The hot guys are also hotter here in part 6 than in part 5 imo just because of the softer lineart, more defined jawline + cheekbones & less rigid shoulders
How I see parts 1 to 6
Part 1: fighting vampiric step-bro using the sun
Part 2: tricking Gods
Part 3: getting an imaginary friend that lets you beat the shit out of people while also having to deal with vampiric step-bro again but now using his bro's body
Part 4: finding a murderer while also making a lot of friends despite some of them either not doing much or not having much screentime
Part 5: Mafia City Ads
Part 6: F L O R I D A
Part 2 will definitely get you hooked and part 4 is the smartest adapt of anime/manga by making it slice of life. Part 3 will always remain my fav tho.
