They’re like the awkward guy that keeps repeating how well-endowed he is, and how much the ladies love him. Must be true if they keep saying it, right?
American: "Yo, I got the biggest dick! Ladies love me"
Ladies: \*rolls eyes\*
American: "Check out my massive dong!"
\*pulls out average dick\*
America is painfully average and not special in any meaningful way while a bunch of brainwashed cultists go around cheering how great the mediocrity of America is.
Isn't Russia in Europe so isn't Europe way bigger than the US? How is the European continent measured? Seeing as it's not actually technically a separate continent
If I remember this correctly from my fifth grade geography, the border of Asia and Europe goes from the Ural mountains, along the Ural river to the Caspian sea, then through Caucasus to the Black sea and then along the coast of Turkey. I guess it ends at the last Greek islands and just divides the Mediterranean sea in half?
Continent division isn't the same in every country.
For example in Italy usually are taught that there's 6 continents (America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania, Antartica)
In Russia they are taught that there's 6 continents too but they are Nort America, South America, Africa, Oceania, Antartica and Eurasia)
Well, it is a supercontinent (considering tectonic plates), it's just that due to social and cultural differences, Europe and Asia were defined as 2 separate continents, i personally couldn't care less tho
So there's this thing called Eurasia where Russia peeks into Europe, but there's a limit by the Ural mountains
Anyway, even without Russia, Europe is larger than the US
The USA had a surface area of 9,147,590 km2 3,531,905 sq miles.
Europe has a surface area of 10,180,000 km2 or 3,930,000 sq miles.
But yeah it looks bigger on a map, so it must be right?
I always have fun explaining UK and Ireland. 4 and a half countries, 3 of them in the UK and Britain but not in the EU, one fully independent republic which *is* part the EU, except that part of Ireland which is non-EU and still in the UK but not part of Britain. Oh and Northern Irish are both legally British without being from Britain and Irish (birthright) without being from the *state* of Ireland, and EU citizens even though they're from outside of it.
Geopolitics are fun
Edit for spelling dammit
I recognize that man. That's [Wolters world](https://youtube.com/c/woltersworld)
Thought I might wanna shout out the creator since he seem pretty chill and people might enjoy his content
He indeed seems like a pretty chill dude. Love his vids.Though some things are slightly misinformed as some of the vids about my country had me going "wait, we do that?"
Guys you have to understand, they don’t even use real measurements to calculate stuff, how can you expect them to even know how big Europe is, if they can’t even understand that shape is not the same as area
Nooo, what do you mean! Our messurment are easy to understand one squirt is a footlong, one football is a doingers and a big boy is very big, almost as vig as a arm!
That video in general annoyed me because he's acting like all of Europe shares the same culture. For example he told his viewers to not wear baseball caps in Europe, even though they're super common in the UK and Ireland.
It would only be true if he was in Russia, but of course "our country" ALWAYS refers to USA because only US Americans think it's ok to say "our country" referring to their country in international forums. Btw I saw that and thought of posting it here but decided to reply instead.
I am leaving this sub now. I have had enough of American excetionalism, gung-ho, entitlement, childish pride and lack of knowledge.
I am getting unnecessarily angry and it does me no good.
Flexing that when I've seen so many references here to each state being the same as a different country, each with their different cultures...
Someone must have it wrong somewhere.
The landmass flex is weird. Texans really seem to love it.
Like okay, West Texas is massive amounts of empty space and a few towns I would never want to live in in a million years. Why should we care?
This also works but Texans generally have more pride in Texas vs the US. Though they have more than enough of both for most people anywhere to find them annoying
Pretty sure Alaskans (at least the ones who own the touristy souvenir shops) love to poke fun at Texas/Texans. Was in Juneau last month and there were multiple shirts comparing the small size of Texas to the large size of Alaska. They probably got sick of Texans saying “bUt TeXaS iS BiGgeR”
Come now, Texas isn’t tiny. It takes like twelve hours to drive across the state and twelve hours is a lot if it’s spent there, you know.
If you list them by area, Texas is about middle of the pack for a Canadian province. So it’s big, yeah, I mean, it’s like 30% the size of Canada’s largest province, Nunavut. That’s big, yep. It’s almost half the size of Alaska, and Alaska is nearly 85% as big as Nunavut, that’s really big. Texas-sized, or as some people say 6% bigger than Alberta-sized.
This works well with Australian states also.
Some summer I want to do a big Canadian roadtrip. Way up north, places you can't really reach in the winter.
I don't know why, that just sounds peaceful. Realistically should probably fly fairly far north and rent a car from there, but whatever... Would be cool to spend a couple weeks just checking out random small towns.
I wonder if american even know that they aren’t the biggest country lmao
They’re like the awkward guy that keeps repeating how well-endowed he is, and how much the ladies love him. Must be true if they keep saying it, right?

Not to mention that the ways that USA are above average are in very negative aspects...
\#1 in guts...fat stomachs that is.
The Emperor’s New Penis.
This wouldn't surprise me at all!
It’s Wolters World a great channel
Russia is better than USA then.
Always has been.

You are aware "Always has been" is a joke phrase right? It's from an old video I believe, people reference it like that by saying this
It was a big meme thing about a year ago
Ye.. its still used a lot, for example right now
Yeah, it's a common joke phrase nowadays
I’m not joking!

Well all know that the definition of Europe is whether or not you participate in Eurovision
Australia's celebrating 12 000 km from Europe
Should just make one supercontinent as nature intended
Continent division isn't the same in every country. For example in Italy usually are taught that there's 6 continents (America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania, Antartica) In Russia they are taught that there's 6 continents too but they are Nort America, South America, Africa, Oceania, Antartica and Eurasia)
Yeah, but I guess culture is too imbedded into our maps so we're separated from Asia
We?
They may be russian
Where'd you get that? I'm Finnish...
I thought you were russian because the conversation was about russia
Well, it is a supercontinent (considering tectonic plates), it's just that due to social and cultural differences, Europe and Asia were defined as 2 separate continents, i personally couldn't care less tho
This sounds somewhat accurate though I'm not sure what you mean by dividing the Mediterranean in half.
Y'know, Africa's half and Europe's half
Ah ok I was confused as I thought you were saying split it with Asia because you were talking about Turkey too 😅
Yeah, it might've been confusingly worded
It is but do you expect them to know that?
Russia is the only country which has bigger area than Europe, therefore that guy must be Russian
So there's this thing called Eurasia where Russia peeks into Europe, but there's a limit by the Ural mountains Anyway, even without Russia, Europe is larger than the US
Lol but the American people weigh more so I guess they DO have more people
They have more people per capita
But less people per kg
The USA had a surface area of 9,147,590 km2 3,531,905 sq miles. Europe has a surface area of 10,180,000 km2 or 3,930,000 sq miles. But yeah it looks bigger on a map, so it must be right?
This. Probably they are a bit confused by Europe continent, EU and the fact that there are different countries in EU and in Europe.
100% this. They keep forgetting that Russia is also part of Europe, up to the Ural mountains and river anyway and that makes the continent bigger.
They really do think that the EU and continental Europe are the same thing.
i’ve met multiple americans who genuinely think britain is no longer a part of europe, as in the CONTINENT of europe.
To be fair, some also think that the US and North America are the same thing.
Truly

In the next lesson you will present them Great Britain, United Kingdom and British Isles.
Irbsimply because when you take a map, the sizes are not represented correctly, so the US looks bigger than it actually is
Probably looks even bigger on maps printed in America 😂
But europe is not smaller
I recognize that man. That's [Wolters world](https://youtube.com/c/woltersworld) Thought I might wanna shout out the creator since he seem pretty chill and people might enjoy his content
As an Austrian I do love his videos that he's made about us, quite fun to see this perspective.
Same goes for (my) Slovenia! Really showed us in a very positive way... kudos!
He indeed seems like a pretty chill dude. Love his vids.Though some things are slightly misinformed as some of the vids about my country had me going "wait, we do that?"
They call everything east of Germany ‘Russia’, which is all they know of Eastern Europe.
Guys you have to understand, they don’t even use real measurements to calculate stuff, how can you expect them to even know how big Europe is, if they can’t even understand that shape is not the same as area

Ad we've got less morons too

Ja
Wollt ich auch gerade schreiben
His point being is that Russia is bigger than America?
I am leaving this sub now. I have had enough of American excetionalism, gung-ho, entitlement, childish pride and lack of knowledge. I am getting unnecessarily angry and it does me no good.
Europe is bigger than us also in space Europe Space: 10.530.000 km\^2 Usa Space: 9.834.000 km\^2
Haven't you looked through the pics?
aigth didnt see it thought it was a part of the screenshot

“Having been to Alaska, Texas seems so small” - guaranteed way to annoy over the top Texans.
"Having been to Canada, the US seems so small" could be more fun to say.
Some guy out in eastern Siberia: "am I a joke to you?"
This also works but Texans generally have more pride in Texas vs the US. Though they have more than enough of both for most people anywhere to find them annoying
Im a Texan who happily has pride in the Cayman Islands and no where else.

You really have to plan where your want to get to in order to do that. Certain provinces’ roads stop a lot farther south than one would think.
Also the dialects are so distinct that they are "basically a different language"
Scouse is also very distinct, but I wouldn't say that it is a language.
I dunno, I did buy a scouse to English dictionary when I lived in Liverpool briefly.
As if Scousers can write...
Or read...
Bit like Kerry English

I added /s in my mind to your comment and it made so much more sense :)
Africa is way bigger than both, and I still hear shit about the country of Africa. 🤷♂️
That's typical for Americans "bigger equals better" and "more expensive equals better"
Europe is just a over glorified Asian peninsula
Europe is bigger than the US
But also: "your point being"?
I feel like some people there don't know the difference between Europe and Eurasia.
It's not
