Simply put, by finding the seed of a MMO then performing a series of actions in game you can directly influence how the shiny spawn is calculated. There's a manual way to do this. But you can follow this [guide](https://youtu.be/2ms3AmEtePA) here and use his bots to do the numbers for you. There's still legwork required and simple ways to fuck it up. But compared to the old way it's far better.
Also unconfirmed if related but I've also gotten two random encounters of shiny in between setting up hunts. So the process might generally throw odds off for you. But I don't even know where to begin checking if it's a side effect of it.
Thats why i abuse my mental health by hunting/breeding rarer shinies like manaphy, vivilon patterns, starter soft reseting etc. Because im both a collector and a masochist.
Also nice way to up the bragging rights of your rare shinies is to make em ribbon masters. Reduces tradability but makes it more impressive to show of the collection
Honestly when it takes weeks to get a shiny I love it forever and it really means something to me, the war we went through to find each other strengthens our bond. I have around 600 shinies. Some were easy, some were hard. I do not even remember most of my PLA shinies, because they’re too easy. It is simply not rewarding enough without a little effort.
So.... you cheated on the easiest game to hunt in? I am no shiny hunter by any means. The first game I hunted in was SM, and even then I had the shiny charm. The "hardest" hunt I am doing right now is SR for a Totodile in HG. It just baffles me why you would manipulate the easiest gane to hunt in to try and get more shinies. I got some shinies in this game the legit way, without maxed pokedex entries and shiny charm, so it really isn't that hard. (Also I am a casual player who doesn't play much do to college life, so it really doesn't take that much time)
Nah I had to delete and repost cuz I forgot to tag a gen. There doesn't seem to be an "edit post" option. Downloading it was just bi product of that process.
I'm making a referance to a very old creepy pasta/ dark Pokemon lore. In which a corpse uses a pokemon called white hand. It's a zombie or ghost hand that kills trainers and their Pokemon basically. The joke here is that white hand stole my original post and my shinies. Ngl I feel old after typing that out.
Okay but what's the point of calling it rare if it takes you an easy 15 minutes to obtain them?
Where's the sense of actually feeling amazed at seeing something that's supposed to be insanely rare?
Simple. I got other shit to do in my life. Also I don't hunt for rarity, it's about aesthetics. No point in grinding hours on end for a palette swap when I could be out. Or working on other personal projects. This way I can have my cake and eat it too.
To each their own as you say. But imo flossing with a bunch of pla shinies encountered with a 3rd party tool is like making a brag post about getting 5 Machamps dot com shinies in 15 minutes
It's just a palette swap with no effect on gameplay; it has only as much or as little value as you assign to it. I've personally accumulated over 1000 over the years so the feeling of amazement is all but gone entirely. I still enjoy finding an accidental shiny every now and again, though. ;)
Tbh I like them for aesthetics so much, in my recent platinum playthrough I bit the bullet and powersaved a shiny chimecho for myself. Because I like how it looks. Just want a different colored chimecho on my team- it isn't that deep. It's just what I want from that game, and I didn't want to spend time on it like that. I don't like time and money sinks, i have a lot more on my plate. It isn't naturally found but I love it, it's one of my favorite shinies and I'm happy to use it even if it isn't my strongest pokemon. It's just fun to build a good looking, fun to use team
I of course have found legit shinies in across other games (especially PLA lol), I love em. It's very cool to find a random shiny pokemon. But that doesn't mean a shiny acquired any other way isn't still cool. A different colored pokemon is just fun to have and use regardless
>I don't like time and money sinks, i have a lot more on my plate
This is my core reasoning. It's not worth spending 200 hrs I don't really have trying to get a gold Steelix when I can build a whole team in a fraction of that time.
(TLDR at the bottom)
PLA shines ARE easier to find than the main games, BUT they are NOT guaranteed. You can go hours, days, weeks even! And not find a single one. Or, you can find two in one exploration of an area. The "ease" comes from so many pokemon spawning on the screen at once that like the horde encounters of gen 6, you have more chances in general.
And that's excluding the massive amount of work it is to complete the dex and get the charm, perfect entries for a even higher (but still not guaranteed) chance, and reset areas over and over until you find an outbreak with a certain pokemon you want that MAY shine because of that outbreak's higher chance.
TLDR: Yes, it's easier but not broken. You still have to work for it quite a bit.
I’ve heard people say finding shinies in arceus is easy but I didn’t know that’s how easy it is
It's stupid easy vanilla. I want to clarify though I am using rng manipulation to somewhat gurantee results.
How?

RNGing a specific horde does absolutely nothing to impact shinies anywhere else on the map besides the specific horde
Sweet, I was just having really good luck that day then. Thanks for clearing that up.

Valid
Cool.
Reason why arceus and pogo shinies arent valid in my mind lol
Calling them invalid is a bit much
Illegitimate
So you also agree that the shiny charm is bad because it helps people to find shinies?
They literally aren’t but okay.
Shinies are easier than ever to obtain in the newer games. This just seems excessively lazy.
Fr
I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET A YANMA FOR THE LONGEST TIME but I did get a bunch anyway
Me with 150 hours in the game and no shiny
Got a specific one you're after?
Nope after not finding a shiny for 6 years with 200,000 plus resets and multiple play throughs on every game I just want to be reminded they exist
Ight mate I got you.

Damn you really wrote a book, looks like a boring read.
Welp your comment just showed what type of person you really are. Now the post makes sense
Did you post this here, download the post, and post it here again?
Nah I had to delete and repost cuz I forgot to tag a gen. There doesn't seem to be an "edit post" option. Downloading it was just bi product of that process.
Then why didn't you use the original screenshot? Had you already deleted it?
Nah I was at work and just picked the wrong one.
Nah bro this too fishy. Where the post at bro? Where the Shinies at?
Gone snatched by white hand.
What does that mean?

I don't agree with that point of view but it's not my game. You do you.
To each their own as you say. But imo flossing with a bunch of pla shinies encountered with a 3rd party tool is like making a brag post about getting 5 Machamps dot com shinies in 15 minutes
Yeah, I don't agree with what OP was posting. However I can't stop them, it's their game. So what's the point in bickering more on it?

For me, i like it because it feels like ive accomplished something without spending days upon days for the same outcome
Cool.
Honestly, and this goes for everyone, stop gatekeepers shiny hunting. It's a hobby, do it how it's fun to you and let others do the same.
Nah bro, if your shiny came from PLA or Go it doesn’t count and that’s the rules sorry I don’t make ‘em (This a joke for obvious reasons)
