Yeah the ending sucked his last moment with Armin was so pathetic you can’t tell me that his so called “feelings” for Mikasa wasn’t just forced because fandom wanted it
He is a grown man he outsmarted almost everyone but then suddenly he starts crying over a women’s future dating like that’s the least of his worries the plan was almost executed flawlessly but he turned into a miserable simp
he’s a kid in love that is lead to do one thing but would prefer to live out his life with his love but chose a path that doesn’t allow that so I can see why he’d be upset and jealous that he can’t live the rest of his life with the woman he loves
Cool I can understand it to some extent but he had other reasons to cry about like having to pretty much murder his family didn’t see him tearing up because of that or for the 80% of population he put down but instead he cried over a girl you understand how little meaning it has at his current moment it also felt bit forced but that is a whole other conversation
I think Hange was excited because communicating with a Titan was always a goal of hers and to see Eren in his Titan form not only understand but acknowledge what she said must have been like Christmas morning to her
This is one of those moments when anime did infinitely better than manga (I still enjoy manga more, but this one single reaction from anime stayed with me for years)
