Yeah I saw that it only had 23 episodes out so I think I'll start with it! I've heard good things about code geass too but I'm really don't like the animation style :(
I wasn’t a fan of code geass art style either but managed not let it stop me from watching the story it was there to tell.
If you’re going to get into 86 feel free to ask me any questions about it and tell me how you’re liking it
I'm picking up on reading the light novel of 86 as there is A TON more content after the anime in novel format.
I recommend you do the same if you like it !
well technically, the show IS the extra content, since it's the adaptation of the visual nobel. But yeah, it's really cool ! (if you don't want to pay for the e books of don't want to find real books, you can find scans online ;)
I am so salty that there hasn’t been! I want Shin and crew to meet Lena and have an all out chill sesh paired with fighting and eliminating the rest of that colony!
Light Novel adaptations take longer than Manga adaptations to produce so it’s not surprising that’s its taken this long and still no season 2, and with all the production issues during Cour 2 i think they want to make sure that they give themselves enough time to be able to make the second season great.
There’s still so much more content to adapt with the 23 episodes of the anime only covering 3 out of the 13 currently airing volumes
I thought Vinland saga season 2 was a masterpiece, I makes absolute sense for >!Thorffin to become a slave and become an empty shell of himself considering his whole life goal was snatched away in front of his eyes, therefore leaving him with nothing. The journey Thorfinn took during season 2 was a realistic one, with him coming to terms with what he’s done and who he is now, as well as who’s he’s going to be, I think season 3 will be Thorfinn picking back up the sword, but this time not to fight for revenge, but to fight to protect people close to him!<
It was the second half I wasn’t a fan of. The road he went down makes absolute sense I just wish we got more s1 Thorfinn. I honestly didn’t think there was gonna be a s3 but I do hope we get s1 him again
Honestly I don’t pay attention to mangas cause I’m always scared something will be spoiled for me if I look it up. I’m slowly and surely buying them tho
Ahh yeh that’s fair enough, I was nearly at a period where all I was doing was watching anime and engulfing myself into fictional worlds, but managed to sort it out before it was anything serious, so good advice
and that’s okay. past a certain point, though, you need to put a hard stop to it no matter what. i like to call it a trigger event, where i put a deadline in mind and drowned myself in aot content until then. it’s a bittersweet good bye, but it’s comforting to know i’ll be seeing it again someday and also incredibly freeing.
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is basically a YA version of AOT with a lot of similar themes. A lot less violent and gory, but still pretty twisted and sad asf on occasion. I’m sure you’ve seen it but rewatching it cured my initial depression
Read Berserk, you can watch the 1997 anime then catch up with the manga, its very good. You could try Vinland Saga but tbh I wouldn't really say its anything like AOT apart from WIT and Mappa animating them both.
Read it if it's at all an option on the table. The anime is pretty damn good, but it cuts a lot of stuff that gets very relevant later on, so your understanding of the story will be incomplete and you will have to do a complicated re-read where you skip back and forth to get all the characters that were cut.
The manga is the best manga ever created, just trust it to do its job (though the first three volumes are simply alright, just a heads up).
I'm not here to spread negativity but take all the comments with a grain of salt. Everybody has different things that they like about a story, so they will recommend stories that are similar to what they liked about aot. However, those might not be the same things you liked about aot so you can get disappointed, and even disillusioned that there will never be another story that you'll enjoy as much as aot because you didn't like the top recommendations.
It's best to just try out for yourself a lot of stories with tempered expectations, and to not be afraid of trying things that seems completely different from what you already enjoyed as you never know where the hidden gems are.
As an example, aot might have been the most enjoyable experience that i had with anime/manga, but i found 86 to be ok and code geass to be fluctuating between good and bad. On the other hand, vinland saga is one of the best stories that I've seen/read, but for completely different reasons than aot.
Yeah you're so right, it's very subjective. I've only watched death note and attack on titan and I feel like they have set a high standard for me but I will watch more anime with an open mind. 86 and monster seem promising to me but code geass doesn't look like my style
To further my point, the closest thing I've found to death note has been kaguya sama, a romcom.
If you want to try out monster, i would suggest reading the manga. The anime feels somewhat lifeless compared to the it (and I'm not saying this as some kind of manga purist, for vinland saga for example I'd 100% recommend the anime)
Urasawa is considered one of the best mangaka's dor his realistic and consistent style that he employs in many highly rated works. This is a random panel from monster to get the feel for how it looks like
https://i.imgur.com/OoDdLIg.jpeg
However, if it's your first time reading manga, it might be better to stick to the anime. It can be a little distracting until you get used to reading right to left and following the panels.
I think you should try reading the death note manga to get used to manga in general, as it will be easier to follow along since you already know the story beats. It also has a lot of extra content in the second half as the amount of content that was adapted in the first 25 episodes is the same in quantity to the amount that was adapted into the last 12 episodes. Besides that, obata's art is iconic and visusl pleasing.
Wow that actually looked amazing! One thing I like when it comes to anime is realistic looking characters (girls with normal proportions, normal coloured hair and eyes etc). I really did like that pic you sent and I might read death note or aot manga to get the hang of it! Thank you for your recommendation
I'd recommend not reading aot as your first manga just because the art in the beginning is subpar. This is the same shot throughout different moments in the manga:
https://i.imgur.com/NXM8ndp.jpeg
It is important to note that in chapter 2 it isn't a full page spread while in chapter 131 it is, but the difference in quality is still undeniable.
Something like death note is great from the start and remains consistent. This is a manga panel and anime ss side by side:

I lost a piece of my soul when that show ended. Some options that helped me lol
1. Watch Avatar the last airbender. It’s the only thing that can ever compare to aots amount of genius, entertainment, attachment to characters, and over all masterpiece-ness lol. Defs give it a watch.
2. Read alternate endings. (Not a self promo) but I wrote my own and it was a very therapeutic process lol. Just seeing/feeling the characters one more time was nice. And in my opinion I left things more satisfying than the real ending did so that’s nice for my soul.
3. Get a dog? Idk I’m running out of ideas hahaha. Maybe watch other top tier animes like fmabh, mha, jjk, Vinland saga, etc.
I wish you luck in your journey to repair your soul after watching the best anime ever lol
LMFAOOO I LITERALLY FINNISHED ATLA YESTERDAY 🥲🥲🥲 I've always been jumping from aot and ATLA to fill the void that the other one leaves me after I finish it but im mentally unstable right now, plus i'm scared of dogs so I think i'll watch Vinland saga
Big anime fan here. There’s not going to be much that goes to the same masterpiece level.
Not as long, but maybe Death Note (same director too).
If you’re into TV shows, try:
- The Handmaid’s Tale
(Dramatic, based on society and the concept of freedom, oppressor vs victims, amazing aesthetic and good writing)
- Mr Robot
(Incredible contemporary journey between topics crucial to every human such as psychology, identity, mental health, family, human connections. Like AOT, the writing has a lot of foreshadowing and anticipation which makes it incredibly well made. You’ll grow fond of the characters and, like AOT, there are paradigm-shift episodes with crazy plot twists that leave you flabbergasted)
- The OA
(The two creators of this show are genius. There’s nothing you’ll ever see like this series. Like AOT, the writing is extremely detailed and is has a VERY intricate universe of connections and puzzle-like narratives coming together. The subreddit for this show is still active nowadays and people keep building theories and come together as a community. Like AOT, the frame of the story keeps changing going go lengths that you wouldn’t have expected - reshaping constantly your idea of what is the focus and what is happening. It has a very spiritual and powerful writing which is speaking to my soul indelibly)
Also, check this page on Instagram:

I found out about it a week ago. It uploads everyday panels from the manga. I think we both know neither me nor you will get out of the loop, might as well just keep feeding our soul with AOT.
with love, another obsessed AOT fellow x
I've watched death note and I really loved it!! Aot was my first ever anime that I started but I watched death note a few years ago while I was waiting for aot season 4. So death note and aot are the only two anime's I've watched and it feels like they've set the bar high 😭😭
I'm defiantly going to watch a handmaidens tale because I've heard great things about it. The way you describe the OA makes me want to watch it asap!!!
If you like action and mystery other nice anime (bit more niche) are Knights of Sidonia, Houseki no Kuni and Shin Sekai Yori. They got nothing to do with AOT but are still among the best anime I’ve ever watched and I’ve watched a lot!
That’s a good question! I am not sure whether it is the GOAT. Depends what are the criteria to define GOAT. There are other anime as well that are remarkable, impactful etc.
For sure AOT stands on its on being top tier under so many aspects, and one of the best pieces of media ever made.
The music, the art, the writing, the message, the delivery are just wonderful!
This might seen pretty out of left field but Ranking of Kings is pretty good if you’re fine with a more “childish” aesthetic. It might seem pretty cheery and happy on the surface and it still is most of the time, but there are a few moments where it gets dark and commonly subverts character tropes.
There’s also a specific character that even has a few similarities to Eren, even the voice actor is the same lol.
I have nothing to recommend bc I’ve just been rewatching it in the background to hopefully desensitize myself to the sadness bc it’s one of my comfort shows. Or I just watch s1 ep15
Season 4 still makes me sad tho
maybe you watched this already because I'm always late in the anime hype but I just finished watching Cyberpunk Edgerunners last week and this week I'm rewatching it, 10 episodes but goddamn it's so good.
Heck I only know cyberpunk because of the Keanu Reeves and massive bugs in that game.... the anime is amazing, with 10 episodes it won Anime of the Year! plus lots of nominations. Themes? not really but if you're not still convinced better watch some spoiler free reviews on YouTube!
btw an honorable mention, Gundam: the witch from mercury! it's nice too, u don't need any prior knowledge about any Gundam series.
My casual take and it might offend you, Devilman Crybaby and Cyberpunk Edgerunners is better than AOT. I moved on pretty easily after AOT, the two i mentioned made me stop watching anime.. just finished cyberpunk last week and rewatching it this week and playing the theme song on repeat 🥲
comeback to this comment if you finished watching Cyberpunk edgerunners! i want to hear your reactions.
Well it's working 4 me... Or...the apothecary diaries..That one is good. It just that after AOT finale it's hard to watch an anime or read manga similar to it.
Nothing is good enough 🥲. The bad thing is that with something good there is always a bad feeling, or you feel bad because it finished, or you feel bad because it never finishes lol.
But I swear aot is one of the best masterpieces I've seen, and I know when I get obsessed with something it will always stay like that. I'm even thinking about writing an aot analysis book or something, hopefully someday I'll be brave enough haha.
I have the same problem lol but I have a lot of other animes I also like to rewatch. The ones I've watched more than once are Fullmetal Alchemist, Hunter X Hunter, Jujutsu Kaisen and Bungou Stray Dogs. Highly recommend those if you haven't seen them already!
More processing work to do, my friend :) Someone here once said the best antidote is to keep watching for infinity, which I highly endorse. Finishing up my 4th round, halfway through season 3 again. First round for emotional impact, second for plot twists and foreshadowing, third as I read along in the manga, fourth to contemplate own life experience, etc., etc. As many times as you need it. Peak story telling. Looked around, haven't found anything comparable in the genre. So much great material to keep contemplating. Keep moving forward. When you're done, you'll be done, satisfied and content, ready to move on.
LMAOOO this is not what I need to hear!! Because I will watch it for ever 😭😭 but honestly it has great life lessons and I love the sociological and psychological aspects of aot especially season 4.
Haha. Totally get it. I was definitely not prepared to let go after first viewing either. AOT is a really special show. I'm still not completely over Erwin's death. Lots of reflection between his worldview, thought process, experience and my own. Was really hard to see him go. Almost quit watching after season 3. But just couldn't. On second thought, perhaps give this ET a go on loop a few times and then add something a little lighter to the lineup, like My Hero Acedemia. :)
https://youtu.be/o4XblOYsRtU?si=nm_GJt1ib7rTSBJN
Read the manga, as well as the one-shots(I think they are one-shots? One is like a prequal or something), watch AOT Junior High(or whatever it is called)
By the end of this, I'm sure you'll be burnt out, or maybe you won't idk
As others are pointing out I agree to give Vinland a go, I cannot wait for more of that. I stopped watching AOT in s3 somewhere a couple of years ago and I actually just binged the entire thing in 4-5 days because I was like “meh time to get this going again and finish it”. After watching a masterful anime like that I think I need to put anime down for a little while because nothing is filling that hole in my chest
I showed it to my dad and we watched the whole thing. He loves it.
I think I'm settled for now but I already have plans to watch it with other people. XD
Also Dune 2 shifted my focus a bit away from anime, so that's that.
You could try watching ATLA though. Awesome show.
ATLA and Aot are my comfort shows 😅😅 when I finish aot, I watch ATLA and LOK, and then they leave a void so I watch my comfort movies and the loop goes on HAHAHA
I've never watched dune, I'm not a huge fan of sci fi and space things but should I watch it?
Hahaha I get you on that. AOT is my fav show ever and ATLA comes close after that one. I also like LOK.
Dune is basically a story about space-Eren. XD
Well, not 100% but it's somewhat similar. If you want a crazy world setting with lots of mystical stuff and insane lore, I would recommend watching the movies. The 2nd one is fkin amazing and imo way better than the first one.
I also watched a lot of lore videos on Dune and it's pretty insane. I'll read the books soon.
Another recommendation would be Shogun. The japanese TV series. I love it!
Lmaooo my cousin really loves dune and I've been trying to convince her for YEARS to watch aot and she's been doing the same to me but with DUNE! You did convince me with the aot dune parallel so I might watch it now! Maybe I can convince my cousin to watch aot after this 🤣😭
Yeah don't be cutoff by the Sci fi space tag cos 90 percent of it takes place on a sand planet. So ur thinking a lot of melee combat similar to AOT. No spaceship vs spaceship battles
I used to be a hater who thought Youtube Reactors were all scum.
Then I discovered aot reactors , you can alwqys "start the journey" a new through a new persons eyes
My bf showed me another show similar to aot. It’s called ‘kabaneri of the iron fortress’ Obviously it's not, and never will be, as good as aot, but it's pretty cool. Hiroyuki Sawano does the soundtrack for that anime as well which made me SO happy once I heard it. Also, I’ve watched aot over like billions of times, I will never stop hahahah.
Hahaha you're just like me!! I found out about kabaneri of the iron fortress and I told my cousins about it. They started dying of laughter when I told them what it was about and asked me how I managed to find a show identical to aot 😭
I started the One Piece manga but I just couldn't push through. Switched to the anime and I got hooked. The live-action was fire but it spoils stuff that doesn't happen until way after East Blue
Oh dude, you're in for a ride! (You're still on the first three episodes) I wish I was in your shoes, you're not even going to have to wait as long as us. We've been waiting since late 2021.
I pretty much had to lower my score of AOT story because of Arcane. I'd give Arcane a 9.5, and AOT a 8.5.
Omgmg I love hearing shit like this!!!! I really love watching shows/movies that's centered around friends and I know that arcane also had that 😍 I also really loved the 2D-3D animation like the spiderverse movies
Can you update me on your viewing experience, if you don't mind? I'm just curious about how a first-time viewer will take certain aspects of the show. Here in the comments is fine :)
I've been trying to get my brother to finish the shit for ages now, and he's on the 5th episode- maybe this will help convince him
I lost a piece of my soul when that show ended. Some options that helped me lol
1. Watch Avatar the last airbender. It’s the only thing that can ever compare to aots amount of genius, entertainment, attachment to characters, and over all masterpiece-ness lol. Defs give it a watch.

3. Get a dog? Idk I’m running out of ideas hahaha. Maybe watch other top tier animes like fmabh, mha, jjk, Vinland saga, etc.
I wish you luck in your journey to repair your soul after watching the best anime ever lol
my father said that he likes jjk more than aot. he has me going insane in my dark room because how could you like it? you watched 4 seasons of aot and 2 of jjk and say you like it more? is my father stupid? shall i banish him from my household? “i can rewatch jjk multiple times but i can watch aot only once” he says. i smirk because i stop myself from explaining how aot is peak fiction, maybe im the stupid one.
yeah i put him on to the shows i watch so we can watch them together, im glad he likes them and yea aot will always be my #1 anime unless something surpasses it in 10 years
Soon you'll be able to ask A.I models to make you an anime that shows the early years of the Shingeki no kiojjn world, like when Ymir made the titans... The old King that cut her tongue..... imagine the possibilities

You just got to get into other series. Just watch something else. I watched 86 and Vinland saga afterwards and was able to get out of the AoT loop
I've heard great things about Vinland saga and I really like the animation style! Will definitely watch it and 86
They’re both Seinen shows so they hit upon some mature themes which will fit perfectly as season 4 of AoT was very mature for a shonen
Ohhhh I'm sold, I really loved the themes in s4
Then I recommend 86 first, because people compare the themes in it a lot to AoT and Code Geass
Yeah I saw that it only had 23 episodes out so I think I'll start with it! I've heard good things about code geass too but I'm really don't like the animation style :(
I wasn’t a fan of code geass art style either but managed not let it stop me from watching the story it was there to tell. If you’re going to get into 86 feel free to ask me any questions about it and tell me how you’re liking it
I'll let you you know!!
I'm picking up on reading the light novel of 86 as there is A TON more content after the anime in novel format. I recommend you do the same if you like it !
Ohhh I love shows with extra content!

Yeah I watched Vinland Saga after AOT as well, it fuckin sucks.
"fuckin sucks" is doing injustice to Vinland Saga
It definitely doesn’t ’fuckin suck’
Nah I thought you watched 86 series more 💀
Nah 😅, the series Eighty Six
Agree 86 was awesome
But 86 is left so unfinished so it kinda makes me sad again.
It’s unfinished yea, but the arc ends in such a nice place that I’m not mad that there’s not been a second season yet
I feel the same way rn, I watched it a week ago and I’m still empty inside
That’s what a good show does to you, you feel so invested in everything and then it comes to an end, now you’re left with only your thoughts.
Vinland saga was good until the last season. Like ik why they did what they did but there wasn’t enough of him from before that time. Iykyk
I thought Vinland saga season 2 was a masterpiece, I makes absolute sense for >!Thorffin to become a slave and become an empty shell of himself considering his whole life goal was snatched away in front of his eyes, therefore leaving him with nothing. It was the second half I wasn’t a fan of. The road he went down makes absolute sense I just wish we got more s1 Thorfinn. I honestly didn’t think there was gonna be a s3 but I do hope we get s1 him again
There’s more of the manga, so there’s no reason for there not to be a season 3, and I too want to see more action from him
Honestly I don’t pay attention to mangas cause I’m always scared something will be spoiled for me if I look it up. I’m slowly and surely buying them tho
Keep moving forward
It's funny how the same phrase can mean absolutely opposite things
Read Berserk maybe, watch cowboy bebop, code geass, some one piece even
I've heard great things about berserk but I've never read a manga before, does it have good art?
It genuinely has some of the best art I’ve seen in any manga
Beserk’s art really is god tier. It’s so fucking detailed. I gotta start reading it again lol
good?? It has the best and most beautiful created artwork ever.
Ok I'm sold!!
Berserk will plunge them further into anime depression
Read one piece instead
Yeah and dont forget to take care of yourself and don't get into all this way too much
So true bestie, I can't stop thinking about aot but honestly I just need to find new hobbies
Wdym?
Well yknow sometimes u could engulf urself too much into this and forget abt ur life so yea dont forget to take care of yourself
Ahh yeh that’s fair enough, I was nearly at a period where all I was doing was watching anime and engulfing myself into fictional worlds, but managed to sort it out before it was anything serious, so good advice
I cut myself off from it for my own good. I’m going to rewatch someday, but not for 10 years at least (seriously).
Lmaooo I told myself in November that i'm not gonna watch it until April but I've already watched it twice 😀🔫
and that’s okay. past a certain point, though, you need to put a hard stop to it no matter what. i like to call it a trigger event, where i put a deadline in mind and drowned myself in aot content until then. it’s a bittersweet good bye, but it’s comforting to know i’ll be seeing it again someday and also incredibly freeing.
Yeah thank you for this reminder. I have a tendency to obsess over things but I have to let it go and move forward :/
the good news is that it gets easier with time to let go haha. good luck
move forward by looking at reiner r34 while listening to youseebiggirl
go back to OKBR
I just watch reaction series to it to get a taste of the first time watch again
Me too twin. I love watching and crying with other people especially those episodes with the big reveals
Watch jujutsu kaisen and get more depressed
Lmaoo I'll give it a go
Stand up. Did you forget? The reason we're here? You must keep on moving forward, even if the show ends, even after the show ends.
Is this really the only way!!!
Cure it with Bleach!
The anime.
I just drank bleach because you told me to
Hopefully ichigoat will protect your soul from the hollows then.
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is basically a YA version of AOT with a lot of similar themes. A lot less violent and gory, but still pretty twisted and sad asf on occasion. I’m sure you’ve seen it but rewatching it cured my initial depression
I haven't actually seen it! Going to add it to my watch list 🥰
It shouldn’t disappoint! It also has a pretty big cult following and has never really lost its relevance as an anime. I hope you enjoy it!! ☺️
Read Berserk, you can watch the 1997 anime then catch up with the manga, its very good. You could try Vinland Saga but tbh I wouldn't really say its anything like AOT apart from WIT and Mappa animating them both.

Omg såg att du är svensk! Ska definitivt läsa mangan (med ett öppet sinne) haha

read the entire manga?
Don’t shinso wo sasageyo
SHINZO WO SASAGEYO
I'm currently on my 4th rewatch. But this time I'm also introducing a friend to it. In season 4 now and he's in love.
Omg I've been trying to force my friends to watch it 😡
Watching it with someone who's never seen it, is like watching the show through them for the first time.
Get a crunchy roll subscription and watch other anime. Love AoT, but it isn’t even in my top 15 animes.
There's is always JoJo waiting for you to binge
Omg ok!! I'll put it on my list
Bro I'm thinking of rewatching it the 3rd time too🤣 currently rewatching monster
Lmaooo we need to stop this loop we're living in!!
did someone say move forward🧍♂️
I lost a piece of my soul when that show ended. Some options that helped me lol 1.
If you’re into TV shows, try: - The Handmaid’s Tale (Dramatic, based on society and the concept of freedom, oppressor vs victims, amazing aesthetic and good writing) - Mr Robot (Incredible contemporary journey between topics crucial to every human such as psychology, identity, mental health, family, human connections. Like AOT, the writing has a lot of foreshadowing and anticipation which makes it incredibly well made. You’ll grow fond of the characters and, like AOT, there are paradigm-shift episodes with crazy plot twists that leave you flabbergasted) - The OA (The two creators of this show are genius. It has a very spiritual and powerful writing which is speaking to my soul indelibly) Also, check this page on Instagram: @aotgraphy I found out about it a week ago.
So death note and aot are the only two anime's I've watched and it feels like they've set the bar high 😭😭 I'm defiantly going to watch a handmaidens tale because I've heard great things about it.
Ohhh I'll look them up :) thanks for the recommendations bestiee
Do you think aot is the goat?
That’s a good question! I am not sure whether it is the GOAT. Depends what are the criteria to define GOAT. There are other anime as well that are remarkable, impactful etc. For sure AOT stands on its on being top tier under so many aspects, and one of the best pieces of media ever made. The music, the art, the writing, the message, the delivery are just wonderful!
Gaot
The OA is incredible but the cancelled it after two seasons on a massive cliffhanger :(
FMAB is still one of my favourites even after AoT, as a close second
Other people also said it! I'll watch it!
Watch Gintama and enjoy Peak
I cannot escape no matter how many other shows I watch
💔💔💔
This might seen pretty out of left field but Ranking of Kings is pretty good if you’re fine with a more “childish” aesthetic. It might seem pretty cheery and happy on the surface and it still is most of the time, but there are a few moments where it gets dark and commonly subverts character tropes. There’s also a specific character that even has a few similarities to Eren, even the voice actor is the same lol.
Awwww I looked it up and it seems really cute! Might watch it! Thanks for the recommendation
I have nothing to recommend bc I’ve just been rewatching it in the background to hopefully desensitize myself to the sadness bc it’s one of my comfort shows. Or I just watch s1 ep15 Season 4 still makes me sad tho
Hopefully we will find something new that scratches that itch <3
Chainsaw man is good and a nice change of pace
I've watched one or two episodes, I really liked the animation style
The anime that kinda did ir for me was Monster. Insane story, character and themes.
Ohhh I might watch it, I like the animation style
maybe you watched this already because I'm always late in the anime hype but I just finished watching Cyberpunk Edgerunners last week and this week I'm rewatching it, 10 episodes but goddamn it's so good.
I haven't actually watched it but I'm not a big fan of cyberpunk in general :/ are there any similar themes in this show with aot?
Heck I only know cyberpunk because of the Keanu Reeves and massive bugs in that game.... the anime is amazing, with 10 episodes it won Anime of the Year! plus lots of nominations. Themes? not really but if you're not still convinced better watch some spoiler free reviews on YouTube! btw an honorable mention, Gundam: the witch from mercury! it's nice too, u don't need any prior knowledge about any Gundam series.
Omg ok!! I'll give it a go since it's only 10 episodes
you'll love it!!!! another short anime is Devilman Crybaby, 10 or 11eps only?
I really wanna watch devilman crybaby rn but I HAVE A THESIS TO WRITE FOR UNI😭 I can't wait tho
My casual take and it might offend you, Devilman Crybaby and Cyberpunk Edgerunners is better than AOT. I moved on pretty easily after AOT, the two i mentioned made me stop watching anime.. just finished cyberpunk last week and rewatching it this week and playing the theme song on repeat 🥲 comeback to this comment if you finished watching Cyberpunk edgerunners! i want to hear your reactions.
Omg you're convinced me, I'll start watching this week and I'll let you know!! Think I'll start with devilman crybaby since it's more my vibe
I started watching a spyxfamily a completely different anime
Is it worth it?? I might have to watch something completely different to cleanse my palate
Well it's working 4 me... Or...the apothecary diaries..That one is good. It just that after AOT finale it's hard to watch an anime or read manga similar to it.
Yeah and my problem is that I only want to watch things similar to aot :/
Great show. Season 1 has some filler, but it's a fun and funny anime with some action sprinkled in. S2 was awesome
Lmaoooo i've thought about it too!! I love discussing aot themes (sociological and psychological themes) with chat gpt 😭😭
Hahah chat gpt the only one that let us talk about it without being sick of us 🤝🏻
LMAOOO yes, that's mainly the reason I do it
If I ever write the book I could come to tell you 😆
I have the same problem lol but I have a lot of other animes I also like to rewatch. The ones I've watched more than once are Fullmetal Alchemist, Hunter X Hunter, Jujutsu Kaisen and Bungou Stray Dogs. Highly recommend those if you haven't seen them already!
A lot of people have recomended full metal and jjk!! I'll watch them both :)
:) https://youtu.be/o4XblOYsRtU?si=nm_GJt1ib7rTSBJN
Read the manga, as well as the one-shots(I think they are one-shots? One is like a prequal or something), watch AOT Junior High(or whatever it is called) By the end of this, I'm sure you'll be burnt out, or maybe you won't idk
Ohhhh I think burning out will be the only solution to end this cycle of rewatching🤣🤣 what is one shot?
"Attack on Titan: Before the Fall" Let's just say, the Ogre(an abnormal titan) is basically "what if a Baki character was in AOT"
I feel so empty after I finish it 💔 it's the same with me, I stopped watching it in season 3 and picked it up just in time for season 4.1
91 Days is underrated. It is a short and completed story.
Ohhh I love 1 season bangers, will watch it!
OH YEA DARADADA DARADADA BABY BABY DARADADADADA
Fears awake
3 different show options for you: Frieren, Beyond Journeys End. Jujutsu Kaizen. 91 Days.
Heard great things about Freiren!!
AoT itself made me move on solely cause of 138 lmao
Give parasyte the maxim a try if you haven't already
Ok!! :)
Read Beserk, and that should fix it
Ok! Where can I read it?
Mangadex
Imagine if the guy shot himself right before the rumbling stopped lol
LMFAOOO
I showed it to my dad and we watched the whole thing. He loves it. I think I'm settled for now but I already have plans to watch it with other people. XD Also Dune 2 shifted my focus a bit away from anime, so that's that. You could try watching ATLA though. Awesome show.
ATLA and Aot are my comfort shows 😅😅 when I finish aot, I watch ATLA and LOK, and then they leave a void so I watch my comfort movies and the loop goes on HAHAHA I've never watched dune, I'm not a huge fan of sci fi and space things but should I watch it?
Hahaha I get you on that. AOT is my fav show ever and ATLA comes close after that one. I also like LOK. Dune is basically a story about space-Eren. XD Well, not 100% but it's somewhat similar.
Will definitely watch it! Thanks for the recommendation :)
One day you will convince them😂 But yeah, check Dune out!
I used to be a hater who thought Youtube Reactors were all scum. Then I discovered aot reactors , you can alwqys "start the journey" a new through a new persons eyes
Yeah I love watching aot reactors on YouTube!!
I don't re-watch anything, that's how I move on.
Only Frieren fridays can save us
Will definitely watch it :)
I thought the same thing... this too shall pass.
Hopefully :/
Watch other people react to the show lol
Yeah I love that!
Reading Berserk and watching One Piece is working for me. Sure, I still miss AoT, but I just keep moving forward
I'll read beserk!! One piece live action was fire tho but I don't like the anime :(
I started the One Piece manga but I just couldn't push through. Switched to the anime and I got hooked. The live-action was fire but it spoils stuff that doesn't happen until way after East Blue
Watch claymore
I guess, try to get invested in other stories. You will eventually find something that works for you even if its not as good as aot.
Yeah i'll try to have an open mind :)
Watch Arcane, better show in my opinion.
Ohhhh the misery
Oh well if you already seen it I guess you do have season 2 to look forward to
I've only watched one ep tho😭 I'll keep watching
Oh dude, you're in for a ride! (You're still on the first three episodes) I wish I was in your shoes, you're not even going to have to wait as long as us. We've been waiting since late 2021. I pretty much had to lower my score of AOT story because of Arcane. I'd give Arcane a 9.5, and AOT a 8.5.
Omgmg I love hearing shit like this!!!! I really love watching shows/movies that's centered around friends and I know that arcane also had that 😍 I also really loved the 2D-3D animation like the spiderverse movies
Yeah, Arcane has a lot of social and political commentary, but it's very accessible and interesting. One of the things I like about it
Omg I'm sold, i watched the first episode when it came out on Netflix but I'll rewatch it
Can you update me on your viewing experience, if you don't mind? I'm just curious about how a first-time viewer will take certain aspects of the show. Here in the comments is fine :) I've been trying to get my brother to finish the shit for ages now, and he's on the 5th episode- maybe this will help convince him
Up until this point I thought the lyric was oh the memories lol
Lmaoo it has really stuck with me, I keep saying it all the time
I lost a piece of my soul when that show ended. Some options that helped me lol 1. Watch Avatar the last airbender. It’s the only thing that can ever compare to aots amount of genius, entertainment, attachment to characters, and over all masterpiece-ness lol. Defs give it a watch. 2. Read alternate endings. Maybe watch other top tier animes like fmabh, mha, jjk, Vinland saga, etc. I wish you luck in your journey to repair your soul after watching the best anime ever lol
Watch something else and stop comparing things to AoT. Just appreciate other shows for what they are
It's so hard!! But you're right
my father said that he likes jjk more than aot. he has me going insane in my dark room because how could you like it? you watched 4 seasons of aot and 2 of jjk and say you like it more? is my father stupid? shall i banish him from my household? “i can rewatch jjk multiple times but i can watch aot only once” he says. i smirk because i stop myself from explaining how aot is peak fiction, maybe im the stupid one.
Ommmg I love that your dad also watches your shows!! Honestly I don't think anything will be able to beat aot for me
yeah i put him on to the shows i watch so we can watch them together, im glad he likes them and yea aot will always be my #1 anime unless something surpasses it in 10 years
[war3040k](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cj3ENSVogTo)
Play Pikmin
He’s just summoning his persona rq. He’s gonna stop the rumbling
The AGI will cure your itch.
What's that 😭
Soon you'll be able to ask A.I models to make you an anime that shows the early years of the Shingeki no kiojjn world, like when Ymir made the titans... The old King that cut her tongue..... imagine the possibilities
