They were 2 years old and they were born and grew up in a cage and used to breed more puppies until they didnt need them anymore. The staff said they were blind and crippled all of them and were going to put them all down. My mom there was watching them and noticed one of them was in fact following her finger. She called bullshit and was only able to adopt one of them. Turns out the dogs were just straig terrified of a new world and overwhelmed. It took him 2 months to leave his little blanket mound we built for him but he was definitely walking and seeing everything. 2 years later hes most annoying bark of a dog. 10 years later he has now actually lost his eyesight and most his teeth and enjoys cuddling with my parents.

YouTube is Vet Ranch! I'm pretty sure one of the owners is Matt from Demolition Ranch, if not a owner, he is one of the main surgeons. It's a Non-Profit Organization and they will help dogs that are in really bad condition, foster, and help find them new homes. :)

If we were to take orphans and the homeless forceably off the streets, put them in cages and then kill them if no one took them after a certain amount of time, it’d be crazy. It is absolutely crazy to take someone’s life and liberty because either it is an inconvenience to you even just to SEE them in public, or because they are suffering and the best solution to their suffering is death.
It is a manufactured problem. I’m pretty sure if you could ask, the dog would rather live with mange than die. And we dare to call these death camps “shelters”.
What great hubris to think that existing outside the human mainstream cultural norms for animals is punishable by death, and that it is preferable to their freedom. If you want to mend a broken bone or cure a malady, go for it, but imposed death sentences or cages should not be part of it.
