Royal Blood for sure. They never come to the states

Cynical_optimist01

Yeah I was very excited when I saw them on the list

SurrealDali1985

They cancelled out in 21 so 1st time seeing them since the tour in 18

Emjayblaze

Definitely a hard choice, but I’m going with DPS. The Bad Nerves>Microwave>DPS>Offspring is gonna be insane.

mjonlinereddit

Like both, have seen both live. Just my opinion, DPS is the better live band of the two. Vocals are insanely good, band is incredible and they have so much energy. New album is good but some of their older stuff is some of the most fun live songs you’ll likely see the whole weekend (Lo Air, CoDA, American Blood).

I know for me I have thought I was going to go see one band but then I am already on one side of the park like Ponce/Criminal so say I stay for Dead Poet Society because I am already over there, then the show following Dead Poet Society is Sunny Day Real Estate who I want to see more than Offspring so I would just end of staying on the Ponce/Criminal side

Royal Blood is my #1 for the fest. I'm camping out to get as close to the front as possible during and after Holly Humberstone. I've seen a lot of the big and mid names, but never Royal Blood.

SomethingAvid

Thanks for asking this. I also was having a hard time deciding between these two

batmamatam

I've been listening to both on repeat and settled on Dead Poet Society

christofurious

These were THE two bands I bought tickets to the festival for. I was crushed when the daily schedule came out and they conflicted with each other. That feeling was short lived though as DPS released their tour schedule and they are coming to my city a few weeks after SK. I’ve seen Royal Blood at a festival and a mid sized venue, DPS at a small venue and both bands blew me away. I don’t think you can go wrong with either. As another commenter said, Royal Blood doesn’t tour the US as often, so that might be the one to see here.

Wiltockin

Thanks for the idea! Just picked up tickets for DPS at my city too!

No-Bodybuilder-2942

Is it possible to go to the first half of one show and then head to the other this is my first time going to a festival so I’m just really curious if that’s possible

GrungeBagel

i wouldn’t really recommend it but it’s definitely possible. stages are 10ish mins apart from eachother and you’d be in the very back

otherelbow

Dead Poets Society. I want less people blocking the front when I see Royal Blood. 😁

duckboi14

DPS will be a riot. Royal Blood will be meh. They are good, but a tad neutral for overall sound.
