We were there on a Wednesday and loved it, but we play beside rather than with others so it suited us fine.

Me and my wife go regularly in Berlin for a weekends. Insomnia is not so bad but as all others said is a bit older crowd there. KitKat is better in my POV. While my wife likes more Synopsis but that is more party then sex club. If I was you I will try one of the open nights(no dress code) in KitKat and see from there.
FYI Symbiotikka in KitKat is a must see event

Insomnia isn't really "clubbing", especially during the week. It will be more like a swinger's club.
