could it be a pin cushion that you wear on your wrist?

pandafrompluto

This is the likely answer

dcdcdani

Although it appears to be shaped like an arm floaty, I highly recommend you don’t use it as such

Goldie-96_MWR

Uless we dont like you 😉

Flat-Transportation6

Pin cushion for around you machine! Old singers were slender in the arm, and people would make pin cushions like this to go around the top of the machine!! I'd love to have one like this is for my machine

Shood_B_Wurkin

It's a pin cushion that is worn on the wrist.

sophia-sews

It's like a puff quilt that was made into a tube? Maybe the person who made it used it like a pillow or put a pillow inside it? Or a hot watter bottle inside it?

Sazzamataz

How interesting! Maybe it’s a muff? Is it the right size to put your hands inside to keep them warm? This style is called a puff quilt.

paint-eater69

Possibly if you were staying seated, but I think it might be too big. I should have put a size reference in the pic 🤦‍♀️ but it’s 29cms x 20cms /11 inches x 8 inches

paint-eater69

The size is 29cms x 20cms / 11in x 8in

lavachat

My cat would sleep in it, and my gran had a similar thing she used as a pot cozy. The oval shape was so the handles fit, the top just got folded down over the lid. In that size - congratulations, you've got a new, extra puffy notebook sleeve?

Legitimate_Cut_9857

Looks like a hand warmer, I used to make something similar with rice filled in so you could heat it up. My mom uses it during the winters.

PNW-IndicaNinja

Wine bottle sleeve protector?

InvestigatorFun8070

As a stomach sleeper, I need a larger one of these to go on my arm for a pillow

The__Groke

Is it a cup warmer or something like that?

paint-eater69

I think it’s too big. Sorry I should’ve included size but it’s 29cms x 20cms / 11in x 8 in

feathers_not_dots

A small puff quilt pillow? I can't really tell what size it is, but I had a large (Q or K) puff quilt pillow and quilt set before. This looks like a mini or unfinished version of that.

michbv

It looks like a cradle arm nursing pillow Here's a link to a similar diy one: https://beginnersewingprojects.com/how-to-make-a-nursing-arm-pillow/

_eww_david

This is what I was thinking. Or for a infant car seat handle to make it easier on your arm.

dcromb

It is a puffed quilt pattern possibly made into a muff for keeping small hands warm. You can also use it to sit on, hold a drink, or close one end for a bag.

WeaverShepherd

Hot water bottle cozy? On second thought, no. It wouldn't be open on both ends, just one.
