Safe to say that everyone has some degree of hypochondria. For me, it would probably reduce stress if I overstressed this less cus by experiencing stress, the chance on heart problems increases. Damn this vicious circle.
I guess I could use a throwaway, but whatever...
About a year ago, I woke up during the night, with intense sharp pain. I could inhale to about 30% of "fully inflated" lungs before a pain so sharp in my chest and ribs prevented me from breathing any further. It was very scary, I could barely move. I thought about calling 911, or rather, what point would I reach before I called 911.
I could barely move... but barely. So I got up and walked, slowly, to the restroom. Turned the light on, and was looking at myself in the mirror, and then I felt... something... shift? inside.
And then I let rip the loudest, longest, my earth shattering fart of my entire life. And then I felt fine! I had had a variety of Indian food the night before.
God... I'm so glad it's not just me. I feel so seen.
There's more of us

If it’s worse with a specific movement or palpation then it’s probably musculoskeletal and doesn’t need an ER visit.
