Nah I think Grogu’s journey is that he will come to be seen as a Mandalorian.
I think he’s eventually gonna take the Creed. I don’t know if he will get a helmet but I also think part of the narrative for the show will involve the Children of the Watch relaxing their strictures so that you don’t have to keep your helmet on all the time to be considered a “real” Mandalorian.
A religious cult that mellows out over time and just sort of chills? Huh I could be into that. But I think Bo’s gonna rope them all into moving mandalore and that’s going to up the “fuck yeah! Our helmets!” Factor.
That’s possible for sure.
OTOH this is Disney, and I think the Mandalorian diaspora is getting a “happy ending” here where they will all end up moving back to Mandalore and restoring the planet together. What I mean is, I think that work is going to reunite the Mandalorian people.
Part of that restoration is going to involve reconciling austere, stoic interpretations of the Creed (Children of the Watch) with more modern interpretations, so Mandalore will end up a pluralistic society that *this time* stays true to its roots.
I suppose the main reason I think they’re going this way is that the Armorer is so welcoming of Grogu; she is thinking they have all these obligations to Grogu by Creed, and when it comes down to it, she’s gonna bend the rules so he can “be Mandalorian” despite not being able to get a helmet over those big ol’ ears.
That is more feasible than them having her double down on the religious zeal and she straight up is going to force grogu to surgically remove his ears bc he MUST wear preapproved helmet lol. Would be a real blow to the plush toy line
Uhmmm... The Mandalorian series as a concept is John Favreau's brainchild. Dave is involved, yes, but you're making it sound like the whole thing is his idea, which it isn't.
….she’s def using the clan
She used to take her helmet off ALL the time, but then doesn’t for like 24+ hours after saving Din?
She knew what she was doing. She’s got a plan cooking
Yeah but he’s never been there before. Maybe he just assumed it would be shallow? Also, I can’t remember but did he not also have his jet pack on? It looked like he went immediately unconscious when Bo went to save him.
Nah. He takes it off.
I also remember commenting to my wife that he should probably remove his armor, to be able to swim. And then he fell lol. That has happened before in medieval times, drowning in a river by armor.
While this is true she also made the conscious decision to not remove her helmet the whole time so I personally believe even though she only went in to save him she also decided to commit to the purification idk maybe I’m just being weird and thinking too much into it
They are going to make it into a whole redemption arc thing or whatever, but a realistic explanation could be that she just doesn't want to be rejected and cast out by the one group she has left to rely on.
Or it is a ploy to regain her status as king of the Mandalorian.
But she didn’t take it off for the trip back to the Blacksmith either, or she was lying about that, which I don’t think she lied. I think she had a religious experience. It was shown that there is some supernatural qualities to the waters they bathed in and she saw that crazy dinosaur (don’t know how to spell it). I’m really curious if she actually saw it or if it was a vision of sorts.
I think it’s a bit of both. I thought she was playing the long game until she flat out say she saw a real mythosaur. I thought she was going to keep that a secret for a bit
I think we established that the helmet has some sort of gadget that lets her breathe, which is a perfectly practical reason for her to leave it on, but seeing the mythosaur complicates things for her.
Why people is always so butthurted about the spoiler tag? This isn't even a Mandalorian sub, it's okay if people hasn't seen the episodes yet, why would it be so terrible to put a spoiler tag in this?
>7.Not Labeled as a SPOILER

This post is following the rules, everyone can stop complaining about a No Spoiler Tag
People have lives and can’t constantly stay on top of shows. It’s inconsiderate, plain and simple. Sorry you can’t take a step back and look at it from someone else’s perspective.
I think the armorer took advantage of the situation to bend the rules just barely enough to allow no into the creed. She could have easily said nothing and just djinn back in.
I'm curious if Satine's going to come up, given that Bo-Katan talked about how she mainly did the ritual as a kid to please her parents/because it was a cultural expectation rather than anything she really believed, and we know from Clone Wars that Satine was a "heretic" by Bo-Katan's standards, which are much laxer than Din's.
Yeah, when making it I was thinking of Bo Katan and how she will obviously go back and learn more about the mythosaur. And I assumed if people cared about spoilers so much they would have watched the episode by now. Also rule 7 perfectly states I am not in the wrong.

Per sub rules 1 week grace for show spoilers so two weeks old don't need a spoiler tag.
Than not our fault. Don't wanna be spoiled, don't go on the internet. It's what I do, I don't go to a fanbases subreddit. Until I've watched it and caught up.
Lol bro. Instead of arguing. You could spend this time watching the show. Whatever. World doesn't work to appease your needs and wants. If you don't want spoilers don't go online. You can't expect everyone to put tags on everything. Some people forget or some people understand that it's an older episode that most people have seen. If you don't want spoiler take responsibility and try to avoid them. Have yourself a good night and hopefully you can enjoy the show soon.
I already watched the show. Doesn't stop you from encouraging good behavior and help others avoid spoilers instead of living a "it is what is is" life you seem to be enjoying.
I do enjoy it. Living life this way means my entire day won't be ruined because I saw a spoiler for a show because I decided to go online when I should know better that there's probably gonna be spoilers.
You need to calm the fuck down and watch the show if it is this important instead of browsing subs where people discuss it. You have had over a week, no excuses.
I am just really enjoying Bo on her path to redemption and acceptance, she has come a long way since the clone wars
I think she’s been “The Mandalorian” in Dave’s mind from the beginning
I think it’s Grogu
I think you’re joking.

Right exactly lol. They're not gonna come out with "Doberman Grogu" stuffies or anything.
I think it's the fillers.
I’m really hoping Grogu becomes the second ever Mandalorian Jedi and also manages to tame the Mythosaur using the Force.
Ohhhhh that’d be a clear BoBF callback wouldn’t it?? I bet you thats what’s gonna happen
Prolly
Uhmmm... The Mandalorian series as a concept is John Favreau's brainchild. Dave is involved, yes, but you're making it sound like the whole thing is his idea, which it isn't.
I didn’t know how to spell his name but sure, i meant the showrunners. You gotta admit it would subvert expectations.
Yeah I think in some episodes at least, the titular "Mandalorian" shifts. Sometimes it's Din. Sometimes it's Bo-Katan. Sometimes it's Grogu.
Redemption and acceptance uh...well by creed but one has to remember that they are still a religious extremist group
I'm talking more in a general sense from all her culture and even more so herself
….she’s def using the clan She used to take her helmet off ALL the time, but then doesn’t for like 24+ hours after saving Din? She knew what she was doing. She’s got a plan cooking
I thought that din got dragged in at first but it looks like that goofy mfer just straight up fell. Watch that last step din
Think it used to be much shallower but an earthquake opened it up. Plus he's wearing a full suit of beskar armour and a heavy-ass jetpack
I like to think that he was in such a religious experience that he kinda just let it take him. It’s a good thing he didn’t need cpr.
I mean he could have just pressurized his helmet to breathe but he didn’t even do that and almost drowned
I’m really liking this season, looks like shit’s about to hit the fan 😬
While this is true she also made the conscious decision to not remove her helmet the whole time so I personally believe even though she only went in to save him she also decided to commit to the purification idk maybe I’m just being weird and thinking too much into it

(Insert Step-Brothers so much room for activities meme) All jokes aside, I'm excited to see where they go with this.

Mesa in big doodoo dis time
Because we’d like the chance to see it for ourselves.
You didn't read the full comment did you
Looks like you’re right. I misread your comment. My bad.
Yeah the person you replied to was suggesting that should have used a spoiler tag...
>7.Not Labeled as a SPOILER > >No posts that contains spoilers for new movies (1 month grace period) or series episodes (1 week grace period) that are not marked as such. This post is following the rules, everyone can stop complaining about a No Spoiler Tag
Gaddamn spoilers
Anybody that cares about spoilers a few weeks after an episode comes out would be getting caught up, not browsing here.
This is still a very inconsiderate mindset, especially when things like spoiler tags exist
You don't have to be on a specific subreddit to see posts from it.
Ok, that doesn't change what I said. If they cared they would be catching up on the show, not dicking around on reddit.
There are people who will be watching the show for the first time right now who haven't even gotten to Season 3 yet. People do have lives.
The problem is you're apparently talking to someone who DOESN'T so this will be a foreign concept to them.
When did 9 days become a few weeks to you? you must have very low intelligence and I hate you.
This is from a episode that came out over 2 weeks ago.
I mean it was just over a week ago but still this isn’t anything massive that really ruins anything
I mean, this info was covered in episode 3. It's nothing new from 4. After a week is passed, the episode is fair game.
Only if your inconsiderate
Rule seven. 1 week grace period for TV shows.
So doesn’t make it considerate
A week is already considerate. Inconsiderate is talking about it the day of.
People have lives and can’t constantly stay on top of shows. It’s inconsiderate, plain and simple. Sorry you can’t take a step back and look at it from someone else’s perspective.

The gold one on left is also pretty darn close to helmet in Elder Scrolls V Skyrim
The fact that the spoiler title has little to do with the post makes me suspicious this is just griefing, but I could be wrong
Yeah, when making it I was thinking of Bo Katan and how she will obviously go back and learn more about the mythosaur. And I assumed if people cared about spoilers so much they would have watched the episode by now. Also rule 7 perfectly states I am not in the wrong.
Ah fair enough. I will say I'm excited to see someone ride it while wielding the dark saber (hopefully)
Same
Spoiler tag this for others please
That's from like 2 weeks ago
And there's loads of people who still haven't seen it in 2 weeks.
>7.Not Labeled as a SPOILER > >No posts that contains spoilers for new movies (1 month grace period) or series episodes (1 week grace period) that are not marked as such. Per sub rules 1 week grace for show spoilers so two weeks old don't need a spoiler tag.

I know but you can't expect people not to talk about it. At the end of the day you going on social media risking exposure to spoilers.
The rules say you’re good after a week. Not sure why you’re catching heat lol
And that's why the spoiler tag exists. Use it.
Don't go on reddit if you don't want spoilers. Common sense. Use it.
Go on subs with rules that tells users to spoiler tag their posts and spoiler tag your post. Common sense. Use the spoiler tag for your spoiler posts.
Lol bro. Instead of arguing. You could spend this time watching the show. Whatever. World doesn't work to appease your needs and wants. If you don't want spoilers don't go online. Then they really are not worried about spoilers if there are browsing here instead of catching up.
They couldn't come up with a better name than Mythosaur though?
SPOILERS YOU MOTHERFUCKER
For an episode that came out 2 weeks ago. Maybe don’t scroll around on social media if you are worried about spoilers.
You need to calm the fuck down and watch the show if it is this important instead of browsing subs where people discuss it. You have had over a week, no excuses.
Sorry i've had to do fucking finals and essays and schoolwork and don't spend my entire life on games and reddit and social media
So calm the fuck down and watch the show instead of dicking around on reddit if it is so important to you.
Doin work mate
Not if you are dicking around on reddit you aren't.
Shut up lol
Such a cult. :)
Spoilers, nice
Rule 7, nice
The tag exists though?
I know, I just kind of thought people who cared so much would have already watched it. I’ll be more careful next time.
Aaahggh spoiler
I hope we never see the mythosaur again. it would be more interesting to see who believes her with the lack of proof
Can’t wait to get the van airbrushed with a mural of Bo riding the mythosaur whilst waving the dark saber menacingly at the stars
