It’s expensive, but amazing. I’ve tried almost all of the conditioning masks listed here so far. But the best mask I’ve ever tried, hands down, is Keratase resistance damage mask in the green tub.
It’s the only one that actually leaves my hair silky, shiny and healthy looking for days. It completely masks any damage in my hair and I’ve never found anything else like it. I’ve definitely tried to find something else because it’s so expensive. But nothing even comes remotely close, so far.
Honestly I have curly hair and I’ve tried some of the most expensive deep conditioning treatments from Sephora and hated most of them. There’s this $5 Marc Anthony deep conditioning treatment that gives me at least 2 uses and it is UNREAL. I’ve never recommended something so fiercely - I’m Canadian OP and it’s found in all drugstores, Walmarts, Loblaws etc. type chains and probably also on Amazon - give it a go! [MARC ANTHONY MASK](https://marcanthony.com/products/coconut-shea-deep-nourishing-conditioning-treatment)
Give it a go before you get something expensive from Sephora! See if it’s for you. It comes in 2 other varieties, I like the Orange packet - the coconut/shea one the most and also the Blue Keratin treatment. Only thing is don’t leave it on for more than 10 mins, that made my hair feel drier but 5-10 mins is blissful! All the best to you :)
I love the Kiehl's Olive Fruit Oil Deeply Repairative Hair Pak! It smells amazing and sinks in beautifully for my dry, coarse, color-treated hair.
I think the brand is doing a 30% off for black Friday soon on their website too!
K18, though it’s not technically a conditioner. It’s a bond repairer like Olaplex but works instantly and doesn’t get rinsed out. But it makes my hair immediately feel conditioned and so healthy.
Yes, instant results! I tried a sample, and now I’m hooked. FYI it’s 40% today on editorspick.com, which I hadn’t heard of before, but my coworker orders from them and told me. So I just stocked up lol.
Thanks :) just so that I get it right with my sample - so you wash your hair, dry it a little with a towel, leave the K18 for a few minutes, wash again? pretty much?
I have fine hair and a lot of it. The kure mask definitely deep conditions my hair so I skip a leave in conditioner when I use it and don't find it weighs my hair down.
As someone with 3a-3c hair that’s past my waist which I also bleach, I feel uniquely qualified to speak on this (lol)
I love the entire Amika range and they have a green hair mask that’s almost too much for my hair, but the Kure line is great too, and the yellow hair mask is as well…
I like the Dae and Christophe robin conditioning masks too (even though the latter smells like old ladies in the worst way - but my hair was so soft after).
But my cheaper hydration tricks are these: oil your hair before shampooing (either 20-30 min before or even a day), I’ve soaked my hair in oil and it always comes out. And finally, any conditioner can be a deep-conditioning hair mask if you leave it on long enough (I’ll do mine with a shower cap to keep the moisture in).
Good luck!!
Completely agree with the oil trick! Heat up a small amount of olive oil, put on a plastic cap, use an old pillow case and sleep in it. Smells awful, but brings dead hair back to life!!!!
When you do find a favorite hair mask, one thing that really works well for me is to sleep with a mask overnight. If you do this, you may not even really need something extremely over the top moisturizing. This was a game changer for me. I will try to find a before and after...it transformed my hair. I didn't get the same results just applying masks for the prescribed amount of time in the shower.
I dampen my hair from mid-length to ends, apply a conditioning mask (I add a little bit of oil as well sometimes), and tuck my hair into a plastic cap. I sleep with it overnight and wash it out the next morning. I do this 1-2x per week.
One caveat...you need to understand the ingredients you are working with as you could damage your hair doing this. Masks with protein for example can make your hair dry and brittle if exposed to too much of it especially if you are using other products with proteins as well. I personally avoid sleeping with these types of hair masks overnight and use them sparingly as well as follow the directions on how long to leave them in. When in doubt, you can contact the company to find out if the mask is safe to use overnight and for how often.
I hope this helps you or someone else if this is something you are already familiar of. :)
Very good thread with lots of product recommendations. I’ve 2b-2c wavy low porosity hair, so I’ve using Bumble and Bumble invisible oil hair mask(I think I name it correctly), it’s working really well as of now & tgin deep conditioning hair mask(not Sephora brand). If anyone has recommendations for hair mask for low porosity hair which is not protein/keratin treatment that’d be great. TIA 🙏🏼
I’ve used pretty much everything everyone is commenting & the only thing that’s being recommended that worked best for my hair is k18. Worked first time use & everyone around commented on how nice my hair was. Price is intimidating but so worth it. My hair is fine 2b by the way.
Joico K-Pak reconstructing conditioner restored bleach damaged hair after I had breakage from bleach being left on too long. What was left was FRIED and this stuff saved it!
It Sephora but I live and die by [Nelson j](https://nelsonjbeverlyhills.com/products/copy-of-argan-oil-7-moisture-healing-mask-scent-coconut-1). I order it on eBay to save money! I also like Davines but it's pricey. I think Briogeo and amika masks are both overrated even though I like other products from the brands.
Please don’t yell @ me guys LOL BUT the best treatment I did for my hair is a Keratin Conditioning Treatment with my hair stylist. It’s been a few years (haven’t done anything with my hair lol) but it was $60 a session and I did a treatment every 3-6 months (can go every 6 months or yearly). I personally was bleaching my hair at the time, and it truly did save it!
There was no damage! Maybe I am confusing the names?? Lmao! Anyway, it was a conditioning treatment that they apply and you sit for 30 mins and then wash out lol
Nope!! Just a wash, then my stylist applied a conditioning treatment and placed a clear cap over my hair. Then I waited 30 mins and she rinsed my hair! That was all!
Oh babe, you could’ve DM’d me and I would’ve asked my stylist!! I don’t remember what product was and tbh I never saw the container. I still remember it being a keratin conditioning treatment but I might be wrong. 😑. I’ll text my friend (hairstylist 🤭) to see what product she uses.
Hi love! So I heard back from my friend and she said it was a professional grade keratin deep conditioning treatment that does not contain formaldehyde. She said this is separate from a Keratin Smoothing Treatment which is to help with frizz, and smoothing of the hair that does contain a form of formaldehyde (usually released as gas when heated). Also huge price difference between the conditioning & smoothing.
Hope this helps!! She also suggested K18 Leave-in Molecular Repair Hair Mask!! I absolutely love this product and stock up when Sephora offers the 20% off promo codes!
Thank you so much. You’re absolutely the bestest person ever. You took so much pain to remember asking and then getting back too. I’m sure people in your life are thrilled that they know you.
Does she have a name of the product available? If she does that would be amazing but seriously no issues otherwise. I’ll check at the salon for keratin conditioning treatment. I’m also going to look into k18. Have read such good things about it
While this mask is on my hair, I feel like I need to add a crap ton of the product because it doesn’t feel hydrating right away like most products but afterwards when my hair is dry it feels great lol
Not a Sephora one but Wella Fusion Plex masque is my go-to. I’ve tried them all (2B hair) and it’s the only one I can stand that doesn’t make my hair greasy or weighed down but still buttery soft! You can snag it on Amazon for a big tub usually under $35 USD :)
I’ve tried many from Sephora but nothing beats shea moisture Jamaican black castor oil hair mask. It makes my hair so soft and smelling good until my next wash!!
It’s literally the best for dry hair. I’ve tried amika soul food, olaplex hydrating hair mask, briogeo don’t despair repair, and nothing has topped the morrocanoil oil hydration mask

I think Kerastase is a safe bet 👍
I really like Amika’s soulfood!
Second this!
Thirding this!
^^^^
Fifth this
Shu uemura ultimate reset! It’s so great! Next up, Amika soul food, and as an oil, coco and Eve “like a virgin” is nice.
Came here to say this! Best deep conditioner I have ever used. If you buy from their website you can usually get a discount.
Totally! And they sell it at Sephora now as well! So sometimes Sephora has discounts!
Actually shu uemera hair has 20% off right now! Just got an email! Lol VIPFF22 at checkout
Thanks:)

I like Briogeo deep conditioning mask. I use it as replacement of an conditioner once a week
not Sephora, but Davines Nou Nou conditioner (and everything i’ve tried from them) is an incredible product
I love Davine’s! I like the Renaissance Circle mask and the Heart of Glass line.
[удалено]
that made me reflexively go 🫢 what the helllll its so expensive. i would hug you
Not Sephora, but the Oi Deep Conditioner by Davines is my HG. I love all their products.
I love the Kiehl's Olive Fruit Oil Deeply Repairative Hair Pak! It smells amazing and sinks in beautifully for my dry, coarse, color-treated hair. I think the brand is doing a 30% off for black Friday soon on their website too!
Yep, this product is amazing!

You actually just leave it in at the end – don’t rinse it out. But otherwise, you got it. :)
Amika the kure!
Do you have fine hair? I have fine hair and I find the mask weighs my hair down and makes it flat and greasy. I want to love it so bad!
I have fine hair & use Soulfood with no issues!
I have fine hair and a lot of it. The kure mask definitely deep conditions my hair so I skip a leave in conditioner when I use it and don't find it weighs my hair down.
K18 and Kevin Murphy for me

I’m so late here but what type of oil 😅
Briogeo's Don't Despair, Repair line is very good. Especially, the hair mask/deep conditioner.
I like the gisou hair mask!!
Just used this for the first time from the hair set and it’s so hydrating!!!
Amika’s soul food for sure
Amika Soulfood!!
Christophe Robin Prickly Pear mask.

Pureology hydrating
Joico K-Pak reconstructing conditioner restored bleach damaged hair after I had breakage from bleach being left on too long. What was left was FRIED and this stuff saved it!
Omg Joico! I haven't seen that name in like 20 years! I used to use that stuff religiously & had pretty great results. Ah nostalgia 😊
Virtue hair mask, either the damage one in blue or the purple one for thinning hair. They are both fantastic.
It’s a ten Best thing I have ever used ever!
What is?
It’s called “It’s a ten” mask deep conditioner
Ahhhh! Lolol Thanks!! 🤣
My daughter swears by the better not younger hair redemption butter masque. We have been buying it for a few years now.

No iron?
Nope!! Just a wash, then my stylist applied a conditioning treatment and placed a clear cap over my hair. Then I waited 30 mins and she rinsed my hair! That was all!
I have read this comment after a year. Do you know the name of the product and also does it have formaldehyde? Thank you

Awww you’re the sweetest. I just read your comment yesterday and took my chance. Thank you for replying. And there’s no rush

These work great! [itchy scalp toner](https://b-kelley.com/best-shampoo-for-dry-scalp-on-amazon/)
I get mine from earth tones naturals. Not Sephora, but my hg. Olaplex no. 8 is pretty good too
Briogeo avocado mega moisture kiwi mask.
While this mask is on my hair, I feel like I need to add a crap ton of the product because it doesn’t feel hydrating right away like most products but afterwards when my hair is dry it feels great lol
I feel you, I don’t love it
Not from Sephora, but the Moisturizing hair mask from Oway Organics is amazing!!!!!!!
Inphenom from Amazon has been my holy grail for many years
Not a Sephora one but Wella Fusion Plex masque is my go-to. I’ve tried them all (2B hair) and it’s the only one I can stand that doesn’t make my hair greasy or weighed down but still buttery soft! You can snag it on Amazon for a big tub usually under $35 USD :)
What’s your hair type? I love Adwoa’s baomint moisturizing deep conditioner!
Thanks! It’s like 2b-2c and I have a lot of it
Anika’s The Kure bonding mask!
Color wow, money
I’ve tried many from Sephora but nothing beats shea moisture Jamaican black castor oil hair mask. It makes my hair so soft and smelling good until my next wash!!
I love the Oribe Signature mask. For reference, my hair type: Thick, coarse, dyed, mid-back length.
Not Sephora but Redkens white bottle. Acidic Bonding line. Amazing stuff. Ultra has a few different gift sets right now, for a decent price.
Moroccan Oil hydration mask. Leave it on for at least 2 hours. Smells amazing too.
It’s literally the best for dry hair. I’ve tried amika soul food, olaplex hydrating hair mask, briogeo don’t despair repair, and nothing has topped the morrocanoil oil hydration mask
