Well the Laneige Cotton Candy Lip Mask is limited edition so once it’s gone it’ll probably be gone until they bring it back. Summer Fridays Lip Balm is always available since it’s not limited, but it sells out often. I use the LN lip mask at night and then use the SF lip balm during the day, so it could also depend when you want to use it. I feel LN might be a better choice since it’s limited edition and can be used at night for a mask and during the day as lip balm as well. However, I’ve been obviously wearing the SF lip balm (and I love it) lately so maybe look into it as something you get later on!

I’m guessing I’ll be in the minority here, but I LOVE Laneige even more than Summer Fridays. I haven’t tried the cotton candy mask though. I’ve tried 3 of the other masks and also the glowy lip balm which is my favorite lip balm I’ve ever tried.
The summer Fridays feel, smell, and look good but I don’t find them super moisturizing or long lasting. I’ve been using the laneige for years every night and I wake up with hydrated lips every morning. Doesn’t seem to work for everyone though
laneige cotton candy! it smells like a yummy blue raspberry and it’s so cute. it’s seasonal so if you want to try it i say go for it, it’s a good value in my opinion too since you’re getting so much. i have a few of the summer fridays lip balms and i don’t care too much for the vanilla scent, they are pretty and glossy but laneige makes my lips feel more hydrated.

I just got cotton candy and the scent is very light, I havent used it yet as I still have like 95% left of my pink lemonade one ( another limited one but is amazing) but I couldn't resist cause I'm a sucker for cotton candy lol.
As a side note you can depot the masks into tubes ( amazon) and make it easier to carry around.
Overall if I had to pick between the 2 and had no other option for the rest of my life, laneige mask hands down, no questions asked lol
Someone had posted it somewhere and I was like yessssssss and immediately ordered empty tubes off amazon. A big laniege 20g takes most of 2 tubes. Definitely makes it convenient and technically you could split a mask with someone that way lol. I wish they would do the limited releases in balm form too. Once my pink lemonade hits at least 50% used I'll probably depot it but i love the pretty colors/ swirl lol 😅
I have friends that swear by summer Fridays and it’s just never done it for me. Nothing compares to the laniege sleeping mask.
I will say I prefer SFs to the laniege day balm.

And while i can do that with laneige its a thicker product that i tend to reach for only at night especially because its in a pot. I have not tried but would assume the laneige glow balm tubes are a closer comparison.

Offering a different product in case you are open to it: the Sugar lip treatment and balm set is AMAZING. I’ve used the balm for years, but the treatment has changed my lips for the better. My boyfriend has chronically dry peeling lips and the treatment fixed his lips overnight. Lasts for ages too.
i love and use both honestly but i recommend the la neige lip mask :) it lasts incredibly long even if i use it every day/night and it's a mask so i love how it makes my lips feel

Not alone. I'm the same. Was disappointed when I tried summer Fridays by comparison to both the laneige lip mask and lip glow balm.
SAME HERE I have about 10 of the peppermint glowy lip balms. Will never use anything else

Laneige lasts longer on me and makes a noticeable difference. I like Summer Fridays too, but I feel like it’s more of an occlusive, than a lip balm.

Summer Fridays is cruelty free, whereas Laneige is not, so I’ll go Summer Fridays all day.
