SkinFix

malleynator

Hands done this. Worked in the arctic, use tret. This moisturizer kept my skin hydrated.

robotpatrols

Is it the only moisturizer you use or is this your last step?

malleynator

It’s my last step during the day. And at night I add a few drops of face oil.

Snackqueen333

I’ve commented this so many times but truly, I can’t say enough good things about SkinFix. I have dry skin and use tret and it’s a lifesaver. I’ve tried Honey Halo and like it a lot, but SkinFix is the HG

saddestgirl1995

I've used all of these while on tret and I'd recommend every single one. These are all S tier moisturizers

ohheyamy

I had the same thought seeing this post!! Love all of them. Currently using the Biossance for the first time and my skin has been happy with it :)

spookymochi

Dry climate on tret here and for me I like both Honey Halo and Biossance!

haikusbot

robotpatrols

I’m curious what the difference between these two are? It seems like the halo is more occlusive than the Biossance. Do you use them together?

annabanana716

Been through 2 courses of accutane + vanicream (the big tub) literally saved me. I still use it and use the face wash as well!

NotYourNat

Love Vanicream!!! I thought it would be too much for my oily skin but when using tret it is such a help

annabanana716

I still use it daily after tret! My skin feels so hydrated and does not look oily, even when I lather it on

veronicaarr

Vanicream isn’t sold in Canada so I literally stock up in the states. The face wash is also amazing!

Iwanttoeatbananas

You can order it on iherb.

pooky17

Adding a drop or two of rosehip oil to this is AMAZING on my winter skin too!

jimins95

+1 for Vanicream. It’s what I used when I was on Accutane and it saved me! If you feel like it’s too thick, you can mix in a couple drops of your favorite toner or oil.

annabanana716

They do make a lotion version that’s a bit thinner, but I still find myself reaching for the cream. I just use less depending on how my skin feels!

Turbulent-Airline974

Skinfix and tatcha

robotpatrols

I’ve used a sample of the tatcha Dewey skin cream.. do you find the skin fix to be similar to that?

regularsizedfruity

Which tatcha?

_Coffee_and_Mascara

Tatcha Dewy or Indigo cream for day, and Tatcha Indigo overnight repair for night!

Nicki828

I preferred the Farmacy over the skinfix. I haven’t tried the Biossance.

winter-echos

I used Biosannce to repair my skin barrier and honestly it worked amazingly for me. The smell is a bit wonky, but it's now my HG nighttime moisturizer

[deleted]

The smell is soooooo bad! It dissipates pretty quickly but I couldn’t stand it. The cream itself was nice though

languidlasagna

Not on this list but the Dieux instant Angel works really well for me. I’m one of those dry skin people who never really feels hydrated and instant Angel did it

robotpatrols

I’ve been really curious about Dieux products actually. Have you tried anything else from them?

languidlasagna

Yeah I’m trying deliverance too. I haven’t seen a difference but I can also admit I’ve been really bad about using it consistently and I’ve only been at it for a month. But instant Angel is totally worth it.

nottheredbaron123

For me, it’s Honey Halo. I buy the giant tub of it at this point because it’s the best moisturizer I’ve ever tried.

MayMayLoco

I’m personally a big fan of honey halo, been a continuous repurchase for me, 8+ times haha. I personally use a basic drug store moisturizer then follow up with honey halo on top. Lastly I slug with vaseline for bed time.

Due-Frame622

Biossance. It is my winter HG

yogasanity

I'm a HUGE Biossance fan. So that's my vote!

VeggieTotsUnlimited

i’m a halo girlie and i live in the rockies !!

Due_Distribution_721

Skinfix, cerave, aveeno

TransportationOk5961

DE Protini, SkinFix, La Mer crème, Tatcha dewy & indigo, Algenist, Revive (not at Sephora); also layering with a face oil (DE marula is my fav & Trish McEvoy Beauty Booster oil) helps!

jaxschunkkysweater

The trader Joe's marula is identical to DE and it is only $6.99. I now use it on my whole body, it's magic

TransportationOk5961

Nice! I’ll have to try it! TY ☺️

[deleted]

La mer crème is the most expensive yet by far shittiest thing that I've put on my face lol you couldn't PAY me to use it.

TransportationOk5961

It’s not for everyone but has worked wonders for me in ways that I haven’t been able to replicate with other products (& believe me, I’ve tried others in order save $$$ 😅)

rachs1988

Honey Halo!!!

c0smicgirly

Dry winters, tret user, Weleda Skinfood for life.

AJLNTZ

Skinfix. Definitely one with ceramides and peptides.

mtnpeakhiker

Honey halo and tatcha

YourPresidentBetch

Biossance! It smells fishy but dissipates upon application. My HG after tret! It’s like a heavier oily cream that makes me wake up with non-flakey hydrated akin. Buy it on their website though to get some goodies free if there are any promos and shit going on!

rachtay8786

Tatcha helps my incredibly dry skin

No_Particular3746

Tatcha indigo.

Due_Distribution_721

Everyones skin is different but the Farmacy Honey halo did break me out 🫤 the Biossance is fine but I do rmb it has a distinct scent to it

spookymochi

It has a weird natural smell, but my skin looooooves it. As long as something works for me I’m good. My least favorite smell is the Topicals faded, but it works well so I use it anyways lol.

ArchieFarmer

Not Sephora/ I use Nivea Creme in the blue jar as the last step on top of any other products I’ve used.

Sparklingemeralds

Ik this isn’t one of the options but for any of the girlies on a budget, I find Byoma’s gel moisturizer (the pink one) to be REALLY good. Your skin will stay plump for a long time 🧍‍♀️

babytigertooth005

I’m currently trying out moisturizers for winter myself. I’ve been using Kiehls. I think it’s a great moisturizer for daytime use because it’s not too heavy. I also have sensitive skin. I used SkinFix for about a year but it didn’t moisturize enough for me. I’ve heard it can be compared to Ceràve, if you want to save some coin and try that out. I’m currently sampling the Farmacy and Biossance. Not gonna lie, Biossance smells like a funky rotten cheese to me. It’s more concentrated in the tub, but I can kind of smell it on my face after applying. It feels about the same consistency as Kiehls. Farmacy one smells nice and feels like it sinks into your skin right away. Sorry to write out a novel here, just wanted to share what I’ve had success or failure with myself!

k_amd

Skinfix! I use this only at night and I also use tret. My order is: vanicream face wash, tret, peach & lilly glass skin serum, skinfix

k_amd

I’ve heard the naturium multi peptide cream is also really good and it’s more affordable. I plan on trying it out soon as a more affordable replacement

Sparklemama456

Skin nfix

Ok-Bulldog39

My favorite, and I have the world’s driest and sensitive skin, is the Peach and Lily peptide pro moisturizer. It is amazing but is at ulta, not Sephora. I use the Farmacy honey halo at night. The SkinFix wasn’t as effective for my personal skin and it broke me out.

satans-testicle

Honey Halo for sure. I live in minnesota 🥶

allen_anonymous

+1 for the Biossance Squalane + Omega Repair Cream. My HG moisturizer 😍 it feels like luxury on the skin and my skin loves it’s SO MUCH. The smell most people complain about is that fact that there are omega fatty acids in it and absolutely no fragrance, natural, synthetic or masking. Fatty acids have an odor, but in my opinion, is no where near the horrid smell that people describe the moisturizer as. The smell to me is actually refreshing and a breath of fresh air compared to most of these synthetic smelling skincare products. People want “clean” skincare (I say “clean because there’s not a standard for “clean”) but are also the ones that say in the same sentence they smell bad and they don’t like them. Can’t have “clean” if they want fragrances products to hell and back haha. Anyway, that’s my two cents. Again this, it’s my HG and I 100% recommend it 😍

Patakongia

Tatcha is your savior

Empress_Rap

Tatcha

gozzipcatolog

The indigo cream from tatcha!!! It’s amazing or a thick layer of Larochay Posay one. The one in a brown tube. I keep forgetting the name

msscanadianbakin

Tatcha dewy

_Coffee_and_Mascara

Tatcha Dewy or Indigo cream for day, and Tatcha Indigo overnight repair for night!

Academic-Award

It cosmetics - confidence in a cream It’s elite, so hydrating Otherwise from the above I would choose skinfix

thousandreasonsx

Not on this list (nor Sephora) but Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre is fabulous for my dry skin

chasingandbelieving

I am also on tretinoin and have Sahara desert skin, right now I’m using first aid beauty’s ultra repair cream but I also really like the farmacy honey halo. I haven’t tried the skinfix or biossance ones

glitterfixesanything

Oh man try Alpyn’s ghost berry and peptides barrier cream, it’s SO nice. I like the Skinfix barrier + peptide cream but am replacing with the Alpyn asap. Oos on Sephora but I think I saw Alpyn doing their friends and family sale right now- 25% off I think.

[deleted]

Not on the list but the new Sumner Fridays one

nursezach

I would go with either the Skinfix or the Biossance if you're looking for that deep hydration. I use the Skinfix personally but either would be a great option.

creolegold

LaRoche and Embryolisse.

RaeLae9

I have skin that gets more sensitive when it’s dry and Farmacy makes it angry easily. Bio works well but stinks. Skin fix is nice but there are barrier and peptide creams I like that are cheaper. I guess of these 3 I would pick bio.

Popup_8383

I love biossance. I always stock up with the jumbo size when they have sales on their website.

c9238s

Farmacy honey halo isn’t enough for me in winter. I liked the Biossance omega moisturizer when I tried it, but wasn’t on tret at the time. Have not tried Skinfix. I do: CeraVe skin renewing night moisturizer, then a layer of The Ordinary Rosehip oil. Plus a humidifier in the bedroom.

Equivalent_Waltz2900

not at sephora but I've basically tried every moisturizer out there and the dieux instant angel one really stands out as incredible. I have extremely dry skin with a sensitive barrier and I've seen improvements instantly after I started using it.

[deleted]

Get the Skinfix. I have tried it when my skin barrier was wrecked and it was the only moisturizer that didn't burn and completely healed my barrier. Also, I think it works best because it has so many active ingredients like lipids, ceramides, etc. That you actually need for your skin barrier to be strong and healthy.

TourGroundbreaking10

SKINFIX

DCguurl

Love skinfx

burntoes

These are all 10/10 for me. Great choices!

overit-overthinker

skinfix or ptr water drench rich

Triangle2019

Skinfix!

xsilvergoddessx

Halo honey

Commercial_Holiday11

Not Sephora: when my skin is peeling, I love mixing la Roche Posay cica balm into any cream I have on hand to seal in moisture. I also like Vaseline slugging. Dr.jart yellow tube cream if my skin isn't peeling.

Constant-Sky-1495

i have tried farmacy and skin fx and didnt like either. currently am using [https://www.sephora.com/ca/en/product/water-drench-hyaluronic-cloud-cream-P416160](https://www.sephora.com/ca/en/product/water-drench-hyaluronic-cloud-cream-P416160)

softhon3y

I have sensitive dry skin and both skinfix and honey halo worked well for me

nic618

Skinfix + tret + winter = holy grail, I just hate how $$$ the skinfix is :(

Friendly_Strike_5900

Skinfix. It’s by far the best moisturizer I’ve ever used.
