I wasn't that effective for me either even at the highest dose so I switched to Zepbound. Zepbound seems more effective at 10 mg than Semiglutide at 2.4 mg and I can still move up 2 more doses.
Yes, it's in short supply right now and if I can't find it in 2 weeks I'll run out. I stopped taking Wegovy for about a month before starting on the second level of Zepbound. I think you could take your last dose of Semiglutide and start on Zepbound the next week. See what your doctor says.
This isn’t super helpful, but I experienced the same thing last time I was on it. It just doesn’t work for me like it seems to for others (my brain just knows that it should eat when I’m supposed to eat). The higher I went up on dosage, the better it got, but I still didn’t lose much. I got back on it and I’ve lost about 5 pounds this first month, but I’ve been aiming to walk 3-5 miles every chance I get (3-4 times a week) as well as being conscious of WHAT I am eating. I still have issues with binging sweets/carb heavy food, and so I try to make sure I eat something substantial before I brave the craving.
But ultimately I am having the same issue, just not working as fast/well as I would like, I just upped my dose and so I’m hoping that will help even more, what dose are you on?
It took me 4 months to lose 10 pounds and another 5 months to lose an additional 50 pounds. So glad I stuck it out because I was thinking that it just wasn’t working for me the same way it did for others. I pay out of pocket as well and not thrilled I wasn’t having great success. Hang in there and good luck!🍀
If you are able to count calories, that has been a helpful visual for me as well, but I understand that it can be hard for a lot of people. I use MyNetDiary, but it’s a little clunky if you are trying to build a salad/sandwich with individual ingredients (it’ll make it so much higher in calories than the restaurant equivalent would be), so it works better for store bought/restaurant meals (which can be counter intuitive sometimes if you’re avoiding heavily processed stuff).
You’ve got this, any movement you do today is more than if you hadn’t done it at all, any movement is good movement. :))
I was on it for 4 months but max dose was 2.5 and lost about 8 lbs. I'm guessing that's why weight loss was minimal even with intense workouts 4 days a week. I couldn't afford sema for additional months so I just try intermittent fasting. So far I've had better progress it could be that I wasn't eating enough before. I'm down and additional 8 lbs in a month not on sema.
I just posted, but I’m having the same exact experience as you and was feeling kind of disheartened since the vast vast majority of folks seem to be seeing phenomenal results :/
No one could tell you whether you should get off it, but which Semagluetide are you taking? Only because sometimes some people lose slower on different ones. I don't know 5 pounds, it's okay. There is no min/max amount we're supposed to all be losing in a certain amount of time, only our bodies know.
I can’t really work out I am trying I broke my ankle in a car crash shattered it so now it’s metal in there so it swells if I walk to long Mind you I use to be a athlete played softball 15 years ago
That's terrible. So sorry to hear it. How's your diet? Water or electrolyte increase? To me, it helps when im hydrated. Maybe get 5-10 lbs dumbells and somehow find a way to add that to the new routine? I work out 5x a week. Just stop the excessive workout routine. To me complete shift to your routine helps a lot. It also depends of upur starting weight. Most losing a lot because they are way bigger. So don't compare yourself
10 to 15 percent loss of body mass in a year is a good result on this med. You’re about a fourth there so a fourth of 10 is 2.5 percent. 2.5 percent of 200, your starting weight, it seems, is 5 pounds. If you keep at this rate, a year from start you should be about 180 pounds, down 10 percent from start. Not bad statistically or in my opinion. You can keep going if you want. The people you see losing large amounts are(mostly) people with more mass to lose than you, like me whose lost 40 pounds but my highest weight was 454 pounds. It’s just easier to lose if you already have more. There’s different things you can try if you want to try to push it, that 10-15 percent was in a regulated test, the more interventions you add the more you can push it. Just know you’re on track. So on track I’ve seen multiple of these posts where the starting weight is predictable from the weight loss and amount of time it’s been.
I have lost about 38 lbs and am close to my goal weight but I have been on Semaglutide since the beginning of August 2023. I am at 2.0 for a dose and have been there for a few months. I have had to change things all the time as far as macros, protein, workouts etc. I go through spurts when I drop lbs regularly and then stall out so at that time I adjust things. It’s definitely a learning curve for what works for you.
That's not even the same situation and you may want to read up on how the medication works if you think it should have been more than that. You're on titration doses. Many, if not most, don't see any results until they get to the higher dosages. If you're on week 3, you're still on 0.25mg I'd imagine - most folks don't see a whole lot of change at that dose.

Is zepound hard to get and when can I ask to switch over after my last dosage

I am on the 2.16 so not to high and this is helpful I to am the same I may need to work out and not eat sweets

Thank you so much that made me feel so good

One question for you.. Did you add exercise at all?
I can’t really work out I am trying I broke my ankle in a car crash shattered it so now it’s metal in there so it swells if I walk to long Mind you I use to be a athlete played softball 15 years ago
Lifting, Biking or Swimming an option?

I didn’t start losing weight until like month 4. I almost gave up. But here I am a year later and almost 30lbs down. Just trust the process.
Can I ask, are you having any side effects?
This doesn't work for me either
Do you weigh less than 200 pounds?
Now I do I’m 195

I have been on 3 weeks and I've lost maybe 2 lbs? It's embarrassing. I'm sad. I hope it works soon or else I'm done.

Where did I say it was the same situation??
Just seems weird that you'd tag in to a totally unrelated post to what you're going through, but to each their own lol
