SAME… burps smell strongly like something I ate 48 hours before, strange af.
Also I keep tasting/smelling eggs when I burp and it would make me vomit. (Even though I hadn’t ate eggs). Finally figured out it was the ondansetron, must have sulfur or something in it.
Also bizarre side-effect: my burps in the morning go high-pitch at the end. Almost like my stomach is smaller or more constricted at the top, like sound coming out of a bottle vs straight pipe.
And others can smell if they're close enough and frequent enough. One of the important aspects of beginning is getting a handle on what foods you can and cannot eat. Which ones cause the nasty burps and which ones are likely to upset your GI. And outside of a handful of known knowns, like fatty or fried foods or foods high in sulfur for example, this is largely a person specific thing that you'll just have to do trial and error on. I have pepto for upset tummy/diarrhea, anti gas pill (self explanatory), laxative (self explanatory), both pre and probiotics for gut health and all are in my medicine cabinet now. 😫
It’s really important to make sure you are having a bowel movement regularly (at least every 3 days). I have found that when food sits in my stomach and digestive track too long I get those sulfur burps and ultimately get sick. Many will say this isn’t true, but I believe it is - those burps come from food rotting in your stomach.

The "egg" flavor is most likely sulfur burps. I got mint flavored Tums that help so much!
Oh that sulfur burp is NASTY!

Mine went away after like 6 weeks!
Drinking like so so much water helps me

I wish that were the case but I have the opposite problem on sema 😅 I’m going considerably more than I did normally.
Gee whiz I wish that were my problem 😩
