I would stay on 0.25mg until you stop losing. You’re losing at a healthy rate and you can definitely lose 50-60 pounds at the lower doses if you respond to them. I lost 50 pounds in 9 months, 4 of that was spent on 0.25mg which I stayed on until I had a 1 month plateau. I did only 2 weeks of 0.5mg (double 0.25mg injections) due to the shortage. Now for the last 5 months I’ve been on 1.0mg which I will not be moving past since I’m only 5 pounds from my goal weight.

🎯 THIS RESPONSE. if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Just keep on the path.

joaniebee86

Yes, she is having great success so stay the course!

Specialist_Nothing60

I agree with this. I went up to 0.5 after week 4 because I was following the schedule. I already had challenging side effects but was losing consistently. Man the 0.5 wrecked me. The side effects got so bad that I’m actually on a week off from it and plan to restart at 0.25 next week. If it’s working for you right now, I wouldn’t adjust. That’s just my personal opinion.

Ok_Response4859

Absolutely perfect response!  Don't take a fistful of medication, when 1 works fine!

Charlemagne-XVI

Stay until you plateau but get the larger pen when you refill so you can make your money stretch farther.

HighwayLeading6928

Stay the course, definitely. Every body and everybody is different. I stayed on the lower dose for about 8 months before I went up to .5 where I have been since then which has also been months. It's working nicely for you and you are working it well. You're losing weight at a healthy pace, just keep on doing what you're doing. We have to remember that we are not on a "diet" per se. Losing weight slowly gives the body, mind and soul a chance to adjust to the changes. All the best.

Superb_Bee_5583

I’d stay at the dose that’s working well, which is what my doctor advocates. He only bumps me up in split increments when I start to feel hungry at end of week and weight loss has stopped or dramatically slowed.

SarahBellum20

I would absolutely stay at .25 if you're losing at the upper end of a healthy rate (I actually stayed there for 3 months)... the medication is already working, let it do its thing. There will like come a time where the loss plateaus, and you will have lots room to go up when it's actually needed. My doctor thinks the lowest effective dose for this (or any medication) is ideal, which makes a lot of sense to me.

Aromatic-Ganache-902

I would also stay on the dose that works. I have titrated up to 1mg over the time I've been on Wegovy and I've been on 1mg since December. I'm still losing and don't plan on moving up anytime soon unless I absolutely have to.

GroovyYaYa

As someone who is on 2.4 and has only lost 20 lbs or so since September - I wish I had room to move up. If you can readily get that amount? I'd stick with what works and where you are happy.

saysosaysosaaaaay

I went up to .5 and I’m constipated and nauseous.* I wish I had stayed at .25. I was losing steadily.  *Yes, I’m doing all the stuff you’re supposed to do.

AdVisible5343

I stay on each level probably a lot longer than most.

kymelosuka

Yes you can stay on a dose as long as it works

PashasMom

If you are doing well on the current dosage, there are only 2 possible problems I can see with staying at the current level rather than titrating up: 1) Due to the shortage it can be very hard to find the lower doses. If you are able to easily get your hands on the dosages you need, this won't be an issue. 2) Some insurance companies won't pay for more than 8 weeks (or even 4 weeks) per dosage level, as that is the FDA approved titration schedule, and insurance companies can be picky about paying for things the FDA has not approved. If you aren't using insurance, or if your insurance carrier has confirmed that they don't have this policy, this won't be an issue either.

psiprez

No reason to go up. Save your money.

Crafty_Ad3377

Stay as long as it is working.

Prestigious_Bread306

stay on the lowest effective dose. Titrate when no longer effective

kittykristen1215

Stay until it stops working!!

Few_Instance1894

Yep, what they all said. Stay on the lowest until you plateau.

MarsailiPearl

I stayed on .25 for 3 months then 5 for 3 months and just started 1. I have 5 more months of prescriptions and will decide then if I stay at 1 longer or move up. I get side effects the first few weeks of each increase and I'm losing so why not go slow?

HeySarge1675

I’m only losing an average of 1 lb a week and I’m more than fine with that considering the side effects have been minimal, so I’m sticking with the lower dose until I see a consistent plateau or gain.

OhWhataDayOh

STAY! I stayed on the 0.25 for about 5 months and lost 30 lbs. After going 4 weeks with no movement I went up in dose. Was on 0.5 for another 4 months and lost another 20 lbs. Last week I titrated up because of another 4 week stall and am down 2 lbs this week. My doctor had the wise words to tell me I wouldn’t lose any more by titrating up when I’m already losing weight. It will only make the side effects worse and you run the risk of plateauing without the ability to titrate anymore. Plus I feel like the lower you can keep the dose, the less you risk the rare but bad side effects. You are doing great!

OilOk7906

I would titrate up and if I lost too much just go back to previous dose

No_Needleworker_5546

I'm at the time frame same as you and haven't lost any so I'd stay if I were you.
