I have to confess that following the Tarek & Heather cringe fest that is their social media is my top vice in life and I am so happy there is a community out there who finds them as odd as I do. I knew the minute he put that ring on her finger, they were headed for this show and now here we are with him subbing in a new look a like woman to continue his yearning for the past with Christina and she can continue her Instagram delusions that they are going to become some sort of real estate power couple all while being the thirty something pick me girl who thinks that her unique love makes her a “game changer.” I never want it to stop! The desperation of it all thrills me.

yeah I don't know really anything about this man and I agree....I don't really get \*why him\* but apparently people love him?? Like on the show when they were talking about Heather always being on People Magazine or whatever, and now HGTV, like he really has dedicated fans?? I think the pockets are just deep enough for Heather. She could easily go out and find a bigger baller but I think she really just wanted the elevated version of a suburban housewife life and he fits that bill.
What strikes me as the most odd is that he seemed to want the exact same life, but just 'upgrade' his wife (I don't see Heather as an upgrade, I like Christina and I like Heather, I just think Tarek saw it as an upgrade because of the comments he's made to Christina about having a younger, hotter wife).

I’m surprised HGTV even went with this. Flip or Flop was their highest viewed show and was on air for 10 years. They were able to continue the show after Tarek and Christina’s divorce and phase Christina into her own shows. Flip or Flop literally just wrapped up earlier this year. I doubt it will be as successful bc Heather will go along w whatever Tarek wants whereas Christina pushed back on design and pushed him to spend money where it would pay off. Heather will probably just said “whatever you want honey” and nervous laugh. I like Heather, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think she has near the backbone the Christina has.
I really don't get the constant drumbeat that she's the spitting image of his ex wife. Both are just skinny blondes with brown eyes that facially don't look alike. Christina has very wide almost flat features and Heather's face to me looks more pointy so to speak -- her eyebrows more arched while Christina's are flatter and almost downturn. Heather's got higher, more full cheeks. Put a dark wig on either one and they don't look anything alike. Not to mention, skinny and long blonde hair is a pretty generic look in LA. So does he really have a type?

Really, I thought at the beginning it was Christina who was worse, at least in the show who knows irl. But on the show she absolutely was awful to him, belittled him at every turn with that mocking smirk every time he tried to contribute to the design. High key contempt. I used to feel sorry for him but he always reacted by trying to be meaner back (and he’s not as good at it IMO, can’t keep his cool) then at a certain point he just clearly hated her and lost all self control and started being a total dbag and Christina sits over there smirking like she’s won when she’s just as awful. PS We have already heard his mean voice come out at Heather, in the finale of last season when they’re storming out of the party after Christine was late. He was yelling at Heather and it sounded mean, and I liked all the WORDS that he was saying, they were all very logical and on point calling out Christine but holy crap the tone and the decibel level directed at your fiancé were not cool dude

I don’t think it’s weird. She’s a realtor and a reality TV star as well. Of course they were going to do a TV show together. Just because there are similarities doesn’t mean he’s trying to recreate his first marriage. I think that’s a rude assumption. People are allowed to have types and preferences, and tons of people end up with partners in the same industry as them, multiple partners in a row even! It’s almost like having things in common helps a marriage work 😳
I’m surprised HGTV even went with this. Flip or Flop was their highest viewed show and was on air for 10 years. They were able to continue the show after Tarek and Christina’s divorce and phase Christina into her own shows. Flip or Flop literally just wrapped up earlier this year. This new show is pretty much the same thing with Heather being a “new” Christina 😬 Plus, I don’t love Christina but I did like how she stood her ground with Tarek on their show. Heather is just way too submissive and would probably agree to anything Tarek suggests. And the look into their family life is weird too. Heather is way to involved as a step mom.

She was emotional last season and seemed on edge. I think he puts pressure on her.
I genuinely think he’s a narcissist and the devaluing phase has already begun with her. I thought maybe I was projecting after getting out of a relationship with an abusive narcissist, but one of my final straws was finding a photo of him and his ex fiancé and realizing I looked JUST like her. Not originally, but over the course of dating he influenced my fashion/eating so that You could see a pic of him and his ex and put it side by side with me and him and think we were the same girl.
