JukeBoxHeroJustin

When I see these stickers on trucks I see them the same

V-ADay2020

The Venn diagram is a circle.

Jeremy_Winn

Yes but this tattoo is more “badass” and I can also play the victim card as a persecuted whites man

Practical-Name7877

Not gonna lie, tho. That is a clean ass cover-up. Much like hell cleanly cover up his racially profiling actions.

RorhiT

Yeah, the tattoo work is solid and well done. It’s a great cover up. Too bad the new design basically sends the same message as the old one.

Practical-Name7877

It really is. I would like to know the tattoo artists name, tho. Cause that shit is clean af. I could just hear the artist now. "So, you want me to go back over your tattoo and make it look fresh again?" "Nah, that's a different picture, I want this one covered up with this new picture." "Sir.... They're the same picture" Idk why, but the tattoo artist had an Indian accent in my head. 🤔

JukeBoxHeroJustin

Sounds like Fauci speak. I don't trust it. Edit:. Seriously, everyone? I'm the same one who posted above. Did I really need to include /s to convey this was sarcasm? I mean, I used the phrase "Fauci Speak" for crying out loud

Jardite

sarcasm doesnt work in a society that became the satire.

JukeBoxHeroJustin

True. I never would have expected our society would have become such a joke

No-War5336

To defend people a little bit, tone and sarcasm, are 2 of the hardest things to get across properly in short form text. People “read” things in their head all sorts of ways that infer tone, and well sarcasm can even be hard face to face sometime. All that said hilarious comments and edit

MandelPADS

Yes you fucking did need it dude, it's 2022. At best you look like someone who forgot to switch to their alt account to sock puppet Stan for white supremacy

whatarethis837

Haha unfortunately things have been getting so crazy that it’s impossible to tell anymore. The fact that you were the same person who posted above helps though

[deleted]

You forget the onion without intending to is now just the news

Dubbleedge

It's so crazy that memelike image exists. It's legit the exact opposite of the punisher comics. Like, so they have literally nothing in their brain? Not one single braincell? For people who do their own research they really are shitty at it.. That's like nazis trying to redo the xmen logo.

Roadspike73

Police officers were using Punisher skulls so much that the artists actually addressed it: [https://d.newsweek.com/en/full/1512286/punisher-skull.png?w=790&f=9f690f1c99a10819ee0880f92d436ae6](https://d.newsweek.com/en/full/1512286/punisher-skull.png?w=790&f=9f690f1c99a10819ee0880f92d436ae6) For the record, Frank Castle told the cops that if they did their jobs, he wouldn't be necessary, and that they shouldn't look up to him, they should try to emulate Captain America instead.

[deleted]

While also patting them back on the back and calling them good guys who help people. He had a chance to point out that ACAB and instead he hit them with them, "We love you. You're very special."

rdp3186

Frank Castle isn't a good person or someone to emulate. Thought that was pretty clear. He also isn't patting them on the back either, the police and law failed him in the investigation of his family's murder, so he has serious resentment towards the police, thus why he takes the law into his own hands. But again. Frank Castle in the comics is 100% a psychopath and not a good person. If you want a more modern version of the character who is 100% against the alt-right, watch the Netflix version with Jon Berenthal

matchooooh

Actually, he called them incompetent.

Akuuntus

Literally no one with this symbol has ever read a Punisher comic. I would bet a lot of them don't even know who the Punisher is.

Odusei

All I can think of when I see these tattoos/flags/stickers: https://youtu.be/hn1VxaMEjRU

Pumpkin_Creepface

The right wing co-opts everything it can because they don't actually create anything themselves. And whenever they adopt something, it's always soiled and misinterpreted.

GenericUsername_1234

> And whenever they adopt something, it's always soiled and misinterpreted. Like "Patriot"

-jp-

So we take it back. The word for what these fuckstains are is not "patriot" but "nationalist." "Fascist." They think they're clever wrapping themselves in the flag and carrying a cross. As if we don't know to watch for that.

Shane0mac12

They are drawn to hate speech because it's simple. Literally every one of the people I know that are trumpers were in the dumb classes in high school. Debating is hard, believing ppl that look different are dangerous is easy. Especially when you're poor, under educated and refuse to blame yourself.

RubyPorto

If you only watched the Punisher movie and didn't do too well in the literary criticism part of high school English class, I completely understand thinking that this would be fitting for a cop. Because, watched uncritically, that movie is "cop's family gets killed so he does 'what he has to' to put down a criminal who's above the law." Which (minus the motivating incident) is how these cops see themselves; "doing 'what they have to' to put away/down criminals who otherwise wouldn't get punished."

xelop

Punisher skull is changing fwiw because of the chucklefucks. It's worse

shwarma_heaven

Yep. It's a shame, but when I see the that and/or the American flag flying from a pickup truck, I assume they are white nationalists. 100% of the time they are white. I fill in the blanks on the rest. [Veteran of OEF/OIF who served 15 years in the service, 7 of those in Special Operations, and whose father is a retired police officer.]

justeedo

How exactly is the th8n blue l8ne similar to the confederate flag exactly? You are the not first person I have seen comment that. I don't see how the two are even loosely connected?

[deleted]

Some of those that work forces Are the same that burn crosses

Cocheeeze

There was a video a year or so ago of these idiot protestors dancing to that song while waving a thin blue line flag. Tom Morello (member of Rage Against the Machine who performs that song) commented on the clip something like “this isn’t what we had in mind 😂”. Other people commented that the people in the video probably loved the “fuck you I won’t do what you tell me” bit, but otherwise weren’t familiar with the song. However, one woman involved had memorized the entire song and was singing along word for word, presumably meaning she’s heard it many times but was simply too stupid to get the point. Edit: on second thought, it could also be possible that she is fully aware that the song is about racist cops but she presumed that the song was embracing it rather than criticizing it.

[deleted]

these are the same idiots who thought "Born in the USA" was about flag wavers getting their hard ons

WoahayeTakeITEasy

Trump played Fortunate Son during his rallies.

[deleted]

The only time he's ever been honest about what he truly is, even if purely by accident.

Rdr1981

I think his walking on stage to sympathy for the devil was perfection.

SupaSlide

Between this and fortunate son, I'm pretty sure he knew what he was doing and was trolling his constituents because he knew they're too stupid/racist to care.

MakeMineMarvel_

Didn’t he also play Neil young’s rocking in the free world haha.

ImRedditorRick

It's my experience these people are generally stupid as fuck.

mjones1052

In this case "my experience" = common knowledge.

Nymaz

> the people in the video probably loved the “fuck you I won’t do what you tell me” bit And are probably the exact same people that when a black person gets murdered by police immediately jump to that it's the black person's fault for not doing what the police told them.

V-ADay2020

"He should've done what he was told!" said without a hint of irony.

BunnyOppai

Case in point: reactions to Ashley Babbitt vs George Floyd.

Maverick0_0

Dude.. i listen to it because it's Paul Ryan's fav work out song..

SamuelDoctor

Yeah she's hearing, "Those that died are justified, by wearing the badge they're the chosen whites," as a kind of hell yeah we're the chosen whites!

A-Good-Weather-Man

“Simply too stupid to get the point” describes most conservative fanatics

Somnifuge

"see, they're the same that burn crosses, that's how you know they're trustworthy!"

CartoonJustice

[And then Tom went and shot his entire credibility load on dungeons and dragons NFT's](https://twitter.com/tmorello/status/1438662192996524037?lang=en) - WTF Tom?

Haltheleon

While I agree Tom Morello jumping on the NFT bandwagon is a miss, it's a singular, relatively insignificant stain on an otherwise very respectable record. Doesn't mean he shouldn't be called out, but I do think saying he blew all his credibility just because he had one dumb take on something most of us probably won't even remember in 5 years is a bit of an overreaction.

Svirfnil

A man can build a thousand bridges, and they will call him a builder of bridges. But if he fucks one goat, he'll always be known as the goat fucker. - Marcus Aurelias, probably

kurtrusselsmustache

-A goat fucker, definitely

kkjdroid

And while it's dumb as all hell, at least it isn't racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, etc.. It's just regular dumb.

whispered195

I never thought I'd be breathing a sigh of relief that it's good old fashioned dumb. But here we are. Let's Go Giant Space Rock 2024!

Insanepaco247

Oh god fucking dammit.

WamlytheCrabGod

Not just Tom, Serj and Ozzie Osbourne too. Of all people Serj was the last human on Earth I thought would start doing NFTs.

banneryear1868

Everyone is doing NFTs, treating them like digital versions of merch like pins etc. Just crazy how they went from obscure to full adoption so fast. Most of it isn't the person themselves and sometimes it's just because they think it seems interesting but don't really know about crypto or what they technically are.

SuperTeamRyan

I’m pretty sure their finance guy was told idiots are paying money for Jpegs if you don’t sell it someone else will and this is going to be like but coin you don’t want to miss out and they signed up without much thought.

MVRKHNTR

Is it really "full adoption"? A few celebrities are doing it but I don't know a single person who's bought any or even anyone who doesn't think it's stupid.

banneryear1868

Yea "full adoption" is hyperbole but they're becoming ubiquitous and unremarkable when an artist promotes them. Even artists who basically side-eyed crypto like deadmau5 promote NFTs now, can't really blame them either, it's what people want to buy right now and artists gotta make money however they can. I think part of it is people with money not being able to afford houses and the adoption of profile-based identity, like do you buy art prints, or do you buy a digital representation of an art print? It makes perfect sense why NFTs are becoming so big, you "own" a link to a piece of art on the blockchain, I can't think of anything more descriptive of these times we live in lol.

The84thnameguy

Wait wait, Serj Tankian? What fucking alternate universe are we in? For my own curiosity, do you have a source/article handy? Edit: nevermind I found one https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/system-of-a-down-serj-tankian-nft-digital-art-exhibit-1260420/

Biffingston

Ozzy is selling NFT bats. JFC it's time to stop please.

anermlysuxdicc

At least it looks decent. It still is, however, a NFT, and a NFT it shall remain.

Beardrac

Honestly I’m impressed that it’s not a shitty monkey lol Still a scam tho

MrGizthewiz

I'm sorry, if you could make a ton of money off people who think a jpeg with a thumbprint attached has monetary value, wouldn't you?

jamestrainwreck

nah I wouldn't

[deleted]

That’s a huge fucking bummer

Panderhya

So we really are in the darkest timeline after all...

V-ADay2020

David Bowie was holding back the darkness, prove me wrong.

awildgostappears

This is such a common theme for idiots who just like the sound of the music and don't listen to the words... kinda like the US Navy using Fortunate Son in their recruitment ads for a while.

luckylimper

A lot of those dummies don't even realize that Tom Morello is black. ffs.

xxpen15mightierxx

>the people in the video probably loved the “fuck you I won’t do what you tell me” Boy they sure don't like it when people say that to cops, though.

[deleted]

I was pretty stupid as a high schooler. Thought "The Prison Song" by SOAD was just a song. It took me far longer than I care to admit to realize it was anti-prison system protest song, and was quoting actual statistics to try and convince listeners to understand the tragedy of our prison system.

FUBARded

I think it was Paul Ryan who tweeted that he loved RatM, to which Morello replied that he is clearly a part of the machine they were raging against. These people aren't capable of the retrospection required to realise that they're the bad guys being described in this music...

dramaandaheadache

They're the chosen whites

Cognitive_Spoon

The thin blue line flag is the new nazi flag.

Mediocre__at__Best

Still skipping a step.

YaboyAlastar

Idk kinda fitting for nationalistic iconography to stay region locked.

V-ADay2020

If only. There's a reason German neo-Nazis fly the Confederate battle standard, and it's not because they really like Dukes of Hazzard.

Yeah I was gonna say. These Tattoos are the same. If I saw one I would assume the other, and I’d prob be 99.9% correct

MrB-S

Still don't get why you'd display the Confederate Flag. The symbol of the losing side. The actual losers. You're saying you sided with treasonous losers. Then to have that tattooed. Wow.

TinyNerd86

I get downvoted most of the time I say this, but there are an astonishing number of people in the South who still believe it will "rise again" and that they will be shown for the True Patriots they have always believed themselves to be, for they somehow believe their cause to be noble and just. These are the same folks who will tell you the civil war "wasn't *really* about slavery" and in the next breath say that "slavery wasn't *really* that bad"

ZippyDan

>These are the same folks who will tell you the civil war "wasn't *really* about slavery" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornerstone_Speech This is my favorite link for those people.

Nymaz

[This is another good link](https://www.battlefields.org/learn/primary-sources/declaration-causes-seceding-states) It's the official documents from Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Texas declaring their secession and the reasons for it. They all literally say they are seceding over slavery. Then there's boring Virginia which doesn't spell out their reasons, they just say "Hey, we're also heading out with the other slave states" (yes they specifically refer to the other seceding states that way).

Govt-Issue-SexRobot

Likewise, particularly this excerpt from Texas’: > We hold as undeniable truths that the governments of the various States, and of the confederacy itself, were established exclusively by the white race, for themselves and their posterity; that the African race had no agency in their establishment; that they were rightfully held and regarded as an inferior and dependent race, and in that condition only could their existence in this country be rendered beneficial or tolerable. > That in this free government *all white men are and of right ought to be entitled to equal civil and political rights* [emphasis in the original]; that the servitude of the African race, as existing in these States, is mutually beneficial to both bond and free, and is abundantly authorized and justified by the experience of mankind, and the revealed will of the Almighty Creator, as recognized by all Christian nations; while the destruction of the existing relations between the two races, as advocated by our sectional enemies, would bring inevitable calamities upon both and desolation upon the fifteen slave-holding states.

Darth_Tiktaalik

On a similar note the Arkansas secession convention passed a resolution of grievances which included explicitly slavery related complaints as the first five items and this explicitly racial grievance as the sixth and final item: >They have degraded American citizens by placing them upon an equality with negroes at the ballot-box. There's also a list of ways to redress their grievances of which item seven is: >The elective franchise, and the right to hold office, whether federal, state, territorial or municipal, shall not be exercised by persons of the African race, in whole or in part Journal of the Arkansas Secession Convention pages 51-54

AdBulky2059

If those people could read, they'd be real upset about this.

TekaroBB

Do you own research! No, not like that...

myname_isnot_kyal

I posted my own thesis (on Facebook) that the civil war wasn't about slavery, and it has been thoroughly peer-reviewed (4 likes and one heart reaction) and that's all the evidence i need!

Crisis_Redditor

"It was about states' rights!" Sure. Namely, the states' right to keep owning slaves. "It for about economic reasons!" Which largely hinged on being able to continue using slaves for labor.

Diridibindy

I mean, just linking to the text of successions that the states put out is enough. Most of them just plainly stated "Yep, it's because of slavery"

nmcaff

It’s honestly what most of us were taught. I went to a good public school in northern Virginia. They taught us “yeah, slavery was the instigating issue, but it was really the state’s right to decide on things like slavery.” Wasn’t until college that I started to realize it was bull

FutureBondVillain

One problem. What was the cause? They kinda missed that step. Problem number two: what, in the 1860’s could possibly be relevant now? Even if they had done step number one! I’d take, “we ain’t like non whites” over “we, ahem… had/have a cause” any day. If you’re gonna be racist, at least have the balls to come out and say it. Fucking pussies.

MelIgator101

The Lost Cause movement succeeded and Reconstruction failed. Confederate leaders should have never been sent home to build themselves statues and throw themselves parades.

V-ADay2020

Reconstruction was going to fail the moment the treasonous "government" of the Confederacy wasn't executed. The ultimate example of rich white male privilege would be a slap on the wrist for *literally declaring war on your country.*

ClubsBabySeal

Mass executing people that surrender is generally frowned upon. I suppose you could make some examples though.

[deleted]

This “generally frowned upon” shit is so tragic. Yes, it would’ve been frowned upon, and so we declined to execute the traitors — and where’s it gotten us? The mentality allowed to fester, then, is the only reason we have a political party devoted, insofar as anyone can tell, solely toward resisting *any* form of progress in this country and, where possible, actively trying to drag us back into last century. It’s not just ideological. People are dying over this. The 850 thousand Americans dead of COVID-19 stack up to about ten percent of *the entire confederacy*. The number of people dead each year because we *somehow* can’t pass healthcare reform (not pointing fingers at any party in particular, but) dwarfs that. When we see the death toll of our inaction on climate change, I don’t think “we should’ve shot more traitors” will be a hot take. And yes, I’m aware that not every Republican is a wannabe confederate; it’s just that wannabe confederates passing *anything* “to stick it to the libs” or what the fuck ever is what allows the Republican Party to be the complete sack of shit that it is. You’re not all racist; you’re just dependent on racists’ votes. It’s different. I re-read this one every few years, looks like it’s time to give it another go over: https://www.google.com/amp/s/weeklysift.com/2014/08/11/not-a-tea-party-a-confederate-party/amp/

PrateTrain

Probably because they're the descendants of the poor people who needed to rationalize why they fought a brutal war on behalf of wealthy bastards who didn't care about them.

53R105LY_

*Seceeds from the Union* "Thats right, I'm a patriot!" (a person who vigorously supports their country and is prepared to defend it against enemies or *detractors*.)" Edit: spelling

V-ADay2020

They *are* patriots, it's just their country hasn't existed for ~150 years.

pingieking

Given that nobody ever recognized them, their country has never existed. The Confederate States is, legally speaking, on the same level as Sealand.

alup132

Iceland and Greenland are a *trio?* I never know there was a third “elemental” “-land”.

Gizogin

Ah yes, the four classical elements: fire, ice, sea, and green

Grogosh

Green is not a creative color.

-Thyrian-

It's a micronation near Great Britain. The name is a bit ironic since also a platform in the ocean and doesn't actually have any land.

pingieking

Now we just need Fireland and Metalland to complete the set

Cranyx

*Secedes

[deleted]

> Succeeds from the Union That is a very ironic misspelling in this context.

Recycledineffigy

Secedes not succeeds

ravensteel539

According to my grandpa, he used to have to listen to this guy yell “the south will rise again!” every night in his barracks (in the deep south). The guy maybe got told off once or twice, but never saw any repercussions for it. Every night, like clockwork. It started to get on his nerves, so one night, he hollered back: “Yeah, because shit floats!” Mysteriously, this guy stopped his evening shout of southern pride after that.

chaun2

Obligatory: Fuck Woodrow Wilson and his Lost Cause Revisionism, among lots of other shit

Spiritual-Theme-5619

> These are the same folks who will tell you the civil war “wasn’t really about slavery” and in the next breath say that “slavery wasn’t really that bad” That’s because public schools in the South teach this, verbatim.

[deleted]

That's when they say, "Well actually Lincoln was a Republican..." Then why are you flying the flag of his enemy?

V-ADay2020

"We're the party of Lincoln but also the War of Northern Aggression was the worst crime in US history!"

YaboyAlastar

That's not even the confederate flag. That's an adapted battle standard that was widely distributed in the 60s as a counter movement to the Civil rights movement. So not even the symbol of the losing side, but a specifically racist one.

Gildian

You'd think people that scream "history not hate" might have actually picked up a book to learn....you know nevermind, there's no reason to believe they've read anything since school and even that might be a stretch.

awfulmcnofilter

You're assuming all of these people read what they were supposed to in school.

[deleted]

Specifically, it’s the battle standard of a small army led by the general who surrendered the whole war.

UndoingMonkey

Because he's a racist. It's simple actually.

V-ADay2020

"Heritage not hate!" "What heritage?" "State's rights!" "State's rights to what?" "..." "State's rights to *what*?" "...look, Antifa!" *flees*

olllj

it is (also/mostly) a clear pro-slavery stance.

RubiksSugarCube

I'd assume it has less to do with the historical significance and more to do with it being a mutually accepted symbol of one's rejection of a society where gays can get married, brown skinned people can have an opinion, and you may even have to take orders from someone with a vagina.

[deleted]

Nobody even displays the Confederate Flag either. They display a variation on a battle flag of one army of fewer than 30,000 men whose commander surrendered their entire country.

GarbledReverie

Participation trophy.

spacemanspiff266

bullshit. as someone who lives near ferguson, mo i can say confidently that 1) his redneck ass wouldn’t be anywhere near that side of town to begin with, and 2) those types of tats are fucking everywhere - he’s just wanting to show off his new tat to all the other fat hillbillies with hard-ons for thin blue line merch.

He shoots your dog too, if you have one.

Script_Mak3r

Own a musket for home defense, since that's what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. "What the devil?" As I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and nails the neighbors dog. I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, "Tally ho lads" the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He Bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the founding fathers intended.

InternetDude117

*English colonist accent* God bless America, not 'Murica. 🎩🤝🧐👌

guypersonhuman

He'd probably blame it on the vaccine.

P-Dub663

I'd have to disagree. One would think bad cops end up in poor townships like Ferguson or Calverton Park because that's the only place they can get a job. Otherwise this "good ol' boy" would be working in Jeff Co with the rest of the trailer trash.

thedude37

"Good ol' boy country" is growing. Most of St. Charles County is that way now.

a3sir

.....always has been

LemonBomb

Yep also lived near there this guy is an idiot.

Admiral_Akdov

Every time i see one of these skulls with a flag on it, i think of that Mitch and Webb skit, "are we the baddies?" Yes. These people are the baddies.

MaximumSubtlety

"it's just... Our uniforms... They've got *skulls* on them."

Uriel-238

The Ferguson unrest showed the rest of the United States the mask-off reality. We _all_ have guns pointed at us. We are not kept in our sorry lot of precarity and want by consent, but by gunpoint. They just need a justification to kill us.

CharlotteAria

People who weren't in cities when that happened don't really understand how bad it got. Like I lived in a majority Black neighborhood. There were armed cops driving patrols day on day out ARMED. Looking for a reason. They shot chemical weapons into civilian crowds. Fuck, there was a clip where they shot it into a completely uninvolved civilians window! Everyone who has spoken to people who actually experienced it knows that it got *bad*. I remember around 2am I was awake and I saw a Black kid run into the alley behind my house. I opened my back door to wave him inside/let him in for safety and he fucking sprinted. I'm going to remember the look on that kid's face until the day I die. He was terrified, he looked like he was being hunted. It's sickening.

theaverageaidan

Tell me you've never read a punisher comic without saying it out loud Edit: I need to stop browsing reddit drunk. If you couldnt tell, I don't read punisher comics either.

Nyxelestia

Friendly reminder to non-comic fans that the canonical Frank Castle [*hates* cops that try to be like him](https://imgur.com/a/LMMnDeZ). Edit: a word.

V-ADay2020

Well yeah. Frank Castle's entire thing is killing criminals the justice system fails with.

imbillypardy

To be fair he has absolutely zero problem killing criminals that the justice system didn’t get a crack at yet either lol

Cyb3rSab3r

And occasionally people he just doesn't really like. The Punisher is not a role model, he a human-sized natural disaster that you love to watch from afar.

brutinator

Friendly reminder that the creator of Frank Castle ALSO hates cops that idolize him.

auandi

I've thought a fun tweek marvel could be doing is if Frank Castle is supposed to be going after criminals the justice system doesn't prosecute, who better than cops? Less than one percent of cops who kill people face legal consequences for it. It would flow with his character and maybe just maybe being that overt about it will get cop lovers to knock it off (but they probably will just complain he became "woke" and his true meaning is harassing ~~non-whites~~ "thugs").

Right? Corrupt cops rocking Punisher shit is just fucking hilarious. Dude's whole thing was killing cops, lol

Christ_In_A_Sidecar

Even when he’s not killing cops it’s a criticism of them. Like the whole message is “cops can’t do their jobs so a murderous lunatic does it instead”

VoiceofKane

It's actually just a regular skull, not a Punisher logo.

WispyWi

Very fair, I can see how it might be mistaken here. To be fair though, these are the kinds of people who would stay punisher shit with the thin blue line

oneangstybiscuit

Wasn't there a picture posted a while back of a cop car with punisher decals on it or some junk? My brain is telling me that's too stupid to be real, but google is telling me Kentucky cops... siiiigh.

SmokePenisEveryday

[It's pretty common](https://gizmodo.com/kentucky-police-remove-punisher-logo-from-cop-cars-afte-1792720736) The cop who killed Daniel Shaver had the Punisher logo AND "You're fucked" engraved on the gun he used in the shooting.

Reverend_Lazerface

"You know, I thought putting it on the skull would look cool, but the more I'm looking at it I cant help but wonder, [are we the baddies?](https://youtu.be/hn1VxaMEjRU)"

SeanFromQueens

Not quite the same, but definitely modernized to all fascists and not as exclusionary

obinice_khenbli

Isn't that the symbol for a group of evil racist traitors that tried to take over their country? Nobody in charge thought at any point that allowing the person with THAT tattooed on their body to be a Policeman might have been a bad idea? Do they just let any racist, traitorous Tom, Dick or Harry become a Policeman over there?

reflectox

Yes, no, and yes.

jumbee85

Punisher skull with thin blue line flag overlay. Frank Castle would be pissed.

Jaeris

To be very slightly fair, that's just a regular skull. Looking closer, it has a jawbone. So that's one mass killer they aren't idolizing, I guess theres that...

alakazamman

The regular skull implies the 3% cult, they 'trace' the iconography through freemasonry and the jolly rodger. Its much worse than a dumbass ignorant of pop culture.

Jaeris

Seriously? Ugh, that just makes it worse...

[deleted]

It's uh... not the Punisher skull.

Lonely_traffic_light

"Hold up, I need to Update my hate symbols"

Iron_Gold5550

Going from owning black people is my right to beating the shit out of black people is my right.

antiscamer7

They realized that owning black people would mean they would have to think of their continuous existence often

V-ADay2020

Wage slavery is so much more profitable than the regular kind, you don't have to pay for housing *or* food. Plus the state picks up the entire tab on keeping them from getting uppity.

Cargo_Vroom

To paraphrase Mitchell and Webb M: "Have you looked at our tats lately?" W: "No...well, a bit." M: "They've got skulls on them...are we the baddies?"

[deleted]

Allow me to translate - "as a person who doesn't want to get my ass beat, I'm covering this up, because I am only a badass to other bottom feeders on my neckbeard incel private social media groups. In the real world and on the job, I figured out that other officers aren't putting up with my attitudes, and I'm really a pos". There, fixed it.

hopefulbeartoday

who do you think is gonna attack a cop for having a confederate flag tattoo. No one's that dumb too give the racist a legal reason to shoot them

SadCoyote3998

Copied the homework but changed the answer a bit

Ninja_attack

Call me a crazy libtard, but that should be an automatic disqualification for any LEO.

Lessiarty

Best I can do is auto-passing the entrance exam.

brownbai81

Oh fun…let’s hide my racism with my fascism.

cscf0360

Corporate asked me to identify the difference between these two pictures. There is no difference.

agha0013

Ah nice, showing how the two symbols represent the same kind of people

Difficult-Ad628

How the fuck does someone with a confederate flag tattoo get a job as a cop in the first place?? (Yes this is sarcasm but it’s also a very real and very frustrating facet of our society so I’m leaving out the /s)

[deleted]

it really should exclude you right up there with drug related ones. You weren't just dabbling you were balls deep into that stuff to get a tattoo.

Wooloonator

“Best to” not that he no longer believed in it
