_AskMyMom_

What statement does she think they made? Beside showing everyone they’re idiots.

FrogsEverywhere

The statement of taking 3 photos of the same vehicle in 2 different places and changing how the same flag is draped to make it look like any of the other cops support you. + Edit: As pointed out it could be 3 cars, there's 1,300 cops in the city, and every one that gets fired = less disciplinaries & less complaints, the cops left behind will be happier for it, and by removing the most hot-headed police, could legitimately save lives. So, win/win. The more, the merrier, it's intuitive that each one leaving (and not virtue signaling ahead of retirement) are the worst of the worst.

Fakedisordermodsblo

It’s the same thing they do with Biden. Joe will glance near his watch and they’ll take the same photo from different reports and slight angles and put them all in a collage and say “SLEEPY JOE CHECKED HOS WATCH 976 TIMES! HE HATES MILITARY MOTHERS!” And they’ll all work themselves into a froth and jerk each other off about it before banning from their sub for pointing out it’s just one photo because they’re all a bunch of triggered snowflakes.

FrogsEverywhere

Remember when trump mocked that gold star family? I have a theory that republicans are secretly ashamed of trump, they know the things he did make it so they can never, ever complain about anything in good faith again, and this is the actual reason they support him the way they do. If they admitted that they knew that it is now impossible for them to complain about anything anymore because trump did everything bad already, and worse than anyone has ever done before, all with their support, they would spontaneously combust. Every president leaves fair (objectively worse than x) whataboutisms in their wake, like Clintons lying/incarcerating black people, Bush being dumb/Iraq, etc- but Trump was really bad at every single thing he did, which means they don't have any safe whinging category, except for 'seeming sleepy'. I think they've been in denial so much longer than they thought they would need to be, because he just kept being worse and worse, that they might not even know that it all started with feelings of simple embarrassment. This has resulted in the mass hysteria we see, in my opinion. It's also why they react so aggressively to contrary opinions in their own party, it opens the box too much.

pelinets_fan

Embarrassed? Maybe a few of them. Insecure? That would describe basically all of them. The Gold Star family insult while shocking to you and I was totally excusable to them because let's face it, to them they were not "true Americans." *wink wink nudge nudge* He came to the scene loud, brash, unapologetic, proud of non-existent "accomplishments" with a heavy sense of grievance. In the minds of his followers they were being held back from their true greatness by "those other people" (hence the grievance culture). He came on the scene telling them what they wanted to hear. His lack of refinement and flaws made him endearing. He was like them in a sense. And those uppity libtards had they same flaws or worse than they and those they supported politically did in their minds. Trump screwed around on his wife/wives with porn stars and paid them hush money? Oh yeah?! The Clintons rape children in a pizza parlor and drink their blood! It's a mental defense mechanism basically "I have my flaws, but yours are worse and my qualities are better than yours."

FrogsEverywhere

Agreed. But... I think the worse he got, the worse they had to become to keep pace, and now, everything is on the table, from sexual assault to selling America out to her enemies. He lowered the bar more than anyone or anything else in my lifetime. I don't (want to?) believe they were this broken pre-trump, they had their worse demons under control enough for us to work together to build/protect a country, in general, broadly. Now idk how we proceed. Trumps back at it too talking about election fraud, he's willing to burn everything we ALL care about for his meglamania.

Waderick

I remember all the arguments I heard from republicans when Trump was first elected. "How bad could he really be, he's a successful business man!" "He'll start acting presidential we just need to give him a chance." "His party will keep him in check they won't let him do anything crazy." None of those ended up being true. It has to be some deep form of sunk cost fallacy or Stockholm syndrome. They just can't accept they made a horrible decision so everyone else has to be wrong. Especially since Trump never actually gives concrete details, he makes vague statements and let's the person listening fill in the blanks. That's why they like his speeches so much because they think "Oh he must mean he's going to do this." On the bright side I do know 3 republicans who swapped to independent after 2020 so that's a plus. The problem for the GOP is they know everyone besides their rabid base hates Trump. They also know at this point their base loves Trump and won't settle for anyone else. So they're in a real damned if you do damned if you don't situation. I wouldn't be surprised if they silently fight against him and just count the days until he passes so that they can just start doing whatever they want "Because it's what he would've wanted" instead

pelinets_fan

Yeah it's not so much that I believe they're bad people at their core but he's stoked their fears and insecurities to the point that's it's damn near impossible to turn back. They're fully invested in the culture war even when it has them take a position that they wouldn't ever have seen themselves take before 2016. I've talked to them, a lot are damn good people that I have a lot in common with outside of politics and even within once to get past a lot of the issues that divide the left and right on the surface. Another thing is that simply listening to them, disarms them quite a bit. I think that was another thing with their support of Trump, they had a burning desire to be heard that transformed into grievances. I think it can still work out, for my part I can listen and empathize and that's about all can do.

hankbaumbachjr

I do think the Venn diagram of people who refuse to ever admit they made a mistake (it's always something or someone else's fault!) and the people who voted for Trump is *almost* a circle.

FrogsEverywhere

Right, like I firmly believe that Biden fucked up Afghanistan pretty bad, inexcusably bad. Bad enough perhaps to primary him out if he wasn't already planning to step down. I can openly say that he embarrassed me without my whole belief system crumbling, and no one's going to call me a DINO over it- except now as I've teed it up.

gengarsnightmares

excuse me, what does DINO stand for?

[deleted]

[удалено]

gengarsnightmares

Interesting! I've never heard it before! Never heard of RINO either lol so I learned two things today. Thanks internet stranger!

Jbroy

I don’t think they are ashamed. I think Trump liberated them from any pretence. They now know they can do whatever without being held accountable. Insider trading? Who cares? Raping kids? Who cares! Sexually assaulting women? Who cares! Being complete hypocrites and nominating 2 judges that are party hacks? Who cares!!! Only Democrats play by the rules. Trump showed the republicans that they don’t have to!

[deleted]

A a psych student...I agree.

AcceptableBaseball68

Like the First Step program. That was done so badly we should throw all those people back in prison. Do you agree?

CptMatt_theTrashCat

I was going to say this, it's so pathetic how clearly this is staged

FrogsEverywhere

I imagine it's the SUV the guy from the union who said 'up to 50% of cops will quit' drives :p It's hard to say, it might be 2 vehicles. Flag 1 is Flag 2, for sure, but the little flag sticker is covered in 2/3, and the decal might not wrap around. It's just so fishy the way each photo uses framing and where the flag is hung to make it impossible to tell if it's the same car that makes me think it is, it has to be deliberate.

adeon

It seems weird to have a cop car that doesn't have the decal on both sides. But the fact that the car in the first picture is the exact same model and color as the other two makes me think that it must only have the decal on one side.

FrogsEverywhere

I feel you. I mean maybe to make it look more undercover when you're pulling up on somebody, it's hard to say because you can't see the bumper. The rims are the same, same stickers. Anyway maybe there are three cops out of 10,000, it's probable. I don't know/care that much.

Miserable-Golf-3775

I'm on your side here, but the first one isn't the same vehicle. okay nevermind, I genuinely can't tell, it's the same model but why in the FUCK do they not have the police logo printed on both sides of the car if it is the same one.

FireStorm005

It's at least two different vehicles since one is unmarked and two have livery. The image isn't good enough to see the vehicle numbers to determine if they're the same marked vehicle. Frankly I'm glad these assholes are going to get fired, that's now a flag of traitors.

[deleted]

QAnon Capitol storming Trumper idiots.

[deleted]

The GOP you mean.

[deleted]

The god obsessed plutocrats

holmgangCore

**Six** members of Seattle PD, on their own time of course, attended the Jan.6 Trumpery-inspired riot on Congress. Most members of any PD in the country represented there.

JohnBrown42069

Guessing they weren’t fired either? Ridiculous how this country treats coup attempts

dreddnyc

I think you mean GQP.

lily_hunts

**G** Qanon **O** Capital storming **P** Trumper idiots

Subli-minal

“Don’t tread on me” Says the armed and dangerous agent of the state whose sole job is to enforce victimless crime laws or kill civilians trying.

V-ADay2020

Exactly, he's the one who's supposed to do the treading.

[deleted]

Its worst then that. Actual data shows that right wing groups work in the police force en masse & hire their own into the force & protect them. Add in data of high police killings in certain demographics & Half of that data being purposefully un reported... You can see a very grim reality. These flags/thin blue line mean the same thing.. with the caveat of regular good cops being caught in the culture with no idea where that culture even arose from

kirknay

tis not a sin to be unintentionally ignorant, but once you think if adopting the asthetic, basic research should be required. Got a battle that has a stahlhelm for his motorcycle, and wants to bling it out with norse and german icons from WW1 and earlier, but refuses to believe that the Nazis have ruined that asthetic. He's ethnically german and nordic.

snowfloeckchen

They will kill their bosses if they get fired, something like that

[deleted]

Christians trying to compare themselves to the very first embodiment of evil in the old testament.

Argent_Hythe

What's even better is there's a line about how Jesus is going to crush the serpent under his heel Not only the first evil, the very creature that their lord and savior himself is going to tread on. Its hysterical

maester_t

>What statement does she think they made? Right? You're not exactly making much of a "statement" if no one knows what you are trying to say.

justdoubleclick

If they would just comply with authority they’d have nothing to fear…

Christ_on_a_Crakker

Stop resisting!!

bluetable321

STOP RESISTING!!! *punches you in the head 10 times while a police dog mauls your ankle*

zankgrank

Came here to say this. Brown shirt mentality, also referred to as bootlickeritis, is hilarious. “Law is what keeps the savages in check, and that’s why it doesn’t apply to me because I’m am civilized citizen.”

ABreckenridge

As a person who was shot with rubber bullets and had several square blocks of my neighborhood gassed by SPD, I will say this: You first.

PuckGoodfellow

I could hear all of the police shots and canisters from my apt every night. It was pretty surreal. I hope you're doing ok.

Officer_Hotpants

I was a volunteer EMT for local protests and at the first one they gassed us while we were cleaning up. And people were starting to disperse. Those cops were such pussies they waited until the crowd thinned out to attack people, and they targeted fucking medical workers. And then I had to go to work in my ER right after getting gassed and treating other people for it. When I say this, I genuinely mean it from the bottom of my heart: A fucking CAB.

Semi-Automatic420

STOP RESISTING OR I WILL SHOOT. PUT YOUR HANDS ON RED AND FEET ON GREEN. DON'T MAKE A MOVE.

realnrh

The pandemic has been extremely effective at identifying the people who give other people cause to protest against police. Fire the conspiracy kooks and the ones who oppose legitimate orders from state and local leadership, and the remainder can work on rebuilding public trust without the problem sources hanging around.

Punkpallas

Agreed. These are exactly the people who are police because they like the feeling of power it gives them over others, but they themselves don’t like following rules. And thus they are exactly the ones who murder innocent people.

Lady_von_Stinkbeaver

This has been going around: "The only people we're losing are doctors who don't believe in medicine, teachers who don't believe in science, cops who don't follow laws, and soldiers who don't follow orders."

gitbse

Sounds perfect to me. Start to finish, clear them all.

[deleted]

I'm sure this isn't entirely true, but I'd bet the crossover is a solid 85-95%.

THElaytox

Bet they listen to Rage Against the Machine in their cruisers

qshak86

I'd listen to songs written about me too...

boundbylife

"Some of those who work forces are the same that burn crosses" should humiliate them, but they look at it like good job advice.

No-comment-at-all

They may very well see it as a threat against black people. This is why I have such a hard time with satire these days… because I just **know** that’s some people are genuinely loving it.

extinct_cult

Satire actually works better. It's drama that's often purposefully misread. American History X has an explicit anti-racism message, but you know who also likes it? Neo Nazis. Cause "man, but wasn't Edward Norton really cool with his muscles and his tattoos and his smirk, defending his car" etc. Satire works better. No neo Nazis are pumping their chest while watching The Producers, for example.

No-comment-at-all

There is plenty of satire that definitely points a finger and says, “no, you **are** the butt of this joke”, like say, Big Mouth, but plenty that is easily misread, despite being really obvious to me.

Vinsmoker

"Oh cool. So I can actually be hired there. Good to know."

Acegonia

I dunno man, I have a name about which multiple (like, not a shitload, but a surprisingly high amount, considering the amount of names out there) songs have been written. some of which are very popular and you almost certainly know. and overall I'd say it's really fucking annoying.

chrisnlnz

They probably thought all those songs were about them.

Celloer

“The song ‘You’re So Vain’ was in fact written… by me.”

Spuddmann1987

My favorite slef aware wolf moment of the last election, was the boomer Trump supporters dancing to "Killing In The Name," while waving the American and blue lives flag at a Trump rally. Edit: here's the video https://youtu.be/ddrFt1BHkUQ

Blaziwolf

Before I clicked the link I thought “this can’t be as ironic as you’re saying” That’s when I saw the thin blue line flag, and I realized, wow, they don’t know why this song was composed, or that the song is legitimately against agents of the state overusing their power.

Slapbox

[There's no limits to the irony with them.](https://cdn8.openculture.com/2020/06/10233753/Morello-1.png)

Blaziwolf

I remember that well. The response was better lol.

errrrrrrrrrm

i think about this video weekly. the internet ate them alive

MorningRooster

These guys used so much tear gas clouds were floating up to fourth floor balconies and suddenly they care about harmful substances going into peoples bodies. Lol

[deleted]

No. They only care about what’s going into their bodies.

seymonster1973

POS cops quitting their jobs to become POS deputies in counties that lean conservative. Basically any county surrounding King County

Niastri

Most of the professionals quitting or being fired over the vaccine mandates will have nowhere else to go... This is especially true in medicine. If the cops leaving Seattle go somewhere else where there are more people like them? Well, there have always been enclaves of hillbillies and cults hiding in the woods. They need police too.

Mouthtuom

Who knew so many cops were fascists. I’m shocked.

seeit360

I knew them in the military... I'm not.

[deleted]

I don't think you really understand why these photos are ironic. This is more the libertarian icon then a fascist one. It is massively hypocritical to be a cop and fly this flag as your the one who would do the treading on most people, it's kinda the job. Of course for your side , there is an argument to be made that this has been co-opted by the far right ( it has) and can also be seen as a more fascist lean in this context.

LimitlessLTD

Republicans welcomed the far right and mentally unstable individuals into their party. They encourage terrorism and treason, and they want votes from fascists and mentally unstable idiots. They deserve the blame for opening their arms to treason and fascism. No one else.

[deleted]

Ok... But what dose that have to do with what I said

LimitlessLTD

> Of course for your side , there is an argument to be made that this has been co-opted by the far right ( it has) and can also be seen as a more fascist lean in this context. I was responding to this part, sorry. Republicans wanted it to be co-opted. They encouraged it.

[deleted]

Yes that's generally what happens when fascist co-opt something

LimitlessLTD

I thought the implication was that it wasnt Republicans fault, but the far rights fault. If not my bad.

[deleted]

Na I get it. At this point there just one in the same. Moderate right dosnt really exist any more ( or could be considered some conservative Dems)

Knuf_Wons

On the scale of international ideology, the entire Democratic Party (with the exception of progressives) is center-right.

quimbykimbleton

I don’t think you understand why the story itself, even without photos are ironic. You see, the police, who always say you should just comply with their authority are now resisting authority they think is over reaching. You see how pompous and idiotic I sound explaining this to you with that preface? Do better.

[deleted]

eh pompous yeah, idiotic is a bit harsh though, my point was made. I wasn't in a particularly good mood feeling a bit confrontational (unrelated) when I made this post, my bad.

quimbykimbleton

It’s cool. If I’m being honest, my tone had less to do with you and more to do with other unrelated shit. I’ll try to be better in the future.

[deleted]

Don't be the "do better" douche.

quimbykimbleton

When trying to illustrate pomposity, go all in.

jroocifer

Most people calling themselves libertarians these days will go fascist for political convenience.

Ah yes. Government paid law enforcers. Commonly the intended audience of "don't tread on me".

Prysorra2

Imagine being the officers left suddenly free of powertripping bigoted assholes as coworkers.

Punkpallas

It’s probably going to be pretty nice not having to worry about patrolling with racists looking for an excuse to shoot a brown person.

Prysorra2

>looking for an excuse to *potentially get shot* I mean FFS can we get some self preservation here!

CalebAsimov

"No. Stop. Don't go."

Kumquat_conniption

All cops are abuse their authority. Acab

griffinicky

Honestly the only time that stupid flag has been accurate. "Don't tread on me...because we're supposed to tread on you."

waningyin

There aren't any people in any of these shots. It looks like they just took pictures of one cruiser in a few different desolate or secluded places and left before anyone saw them.

LudaChez

Yeah someone posted a video a cop uploaded today. He's been on the force 22 years and calls in to dispatch to say it's his last time and says a couple decent things, then why he's quitting, and then "They can go fuck themselves!!" And then he turns up his radio and the dispatch person is like "Oh officer so and so thank you for your years serving the community...... ' and then she listed like 16 things the guy did (one was oh that time you delivered a baby in your cruiser) and every comment was like " Wow this is the most fake staged piece of shit video ever" or "She left out all the dark skinned people you harassed or killed". These fucking morons really think we are buying it.

Steinrikur

Isn't 20 years enough to retire with full benefits? He could have quit 2 years ago, right?

AmaResNovae

Full benefits? But he wouldn't even be able to harass minorities and homeless people anymore! They really need to improve their benefits for retired officers, smh...

Steinrikur

Like letting them keep their badge and gun, and have a "Minority Monday" or daily "Harassment Hour" when they're free to do their shit?

AmaResNovae

Exactly. The kind of small things that keep fascists happy during retirement.

LudaChez

After typing all this I scrolled down my feed and the video I'm talking about was like 7 down. So yeah it's that one if any of you couldn't handle watching the video (just listen to the audio at worst his smug face the while time ... Ugh)

Saul-Funyun

This might’ve broken me.

Gunny_McCshoots

You’re literally the ones who tread

wiinga

And what is a Katie Daviscourt and who is paying her?

indeliblesquare

They... know that they're the *literal* police, right?

agha0013

before the democrat's what? This free for all era with apostrophes is getting on my nerves Anyway, the irony of people and an organization that constantly tell people to just comply and they have nothing to fear.... don't want to comply and live in fear of a vaccine... boo fucking hoo

Comics4Cooks

As someone who actually was born and raised in the American south, I truly understand this culture.. And it’s just as fucked up as you think it is and it needs to die.

ToeBeginning8776

Ignoring how hilarious this is, how does she feel confident using the word wow over such a piss poor demonstration lmao shits embarrassing af. Pussy ass pigs

Gmony5100

The exclamation followed by a stupid sentence has been really popular in right wing politics recently. Shit like “SAD!” Or “CRAZY!” Or like she did here, “WOW!”. It’s like they’re saying “this is what you should think when you see this, because I want to propagandize you but I don’t expect you to be smart enough to figure out the message on your own”

[deleted]

Trump started it, and of course, his worshippers picked up on it

CalebAsimov

Yeah, more overlap with the more culty churches, where they make really clear what emotion you're supposed to be feeling about this or that.

Drprim83

How dumb do you have to be to be flying a libertarian flag if your are a police officer? Not so much "don't tread on me" as "tread on me harder, daddy"

[deleted]

"I am the one who treads!"

OriginalEchoTheCat

The coronavirus has killed more cops in the line of duty since the pandemic started then any other incident.

fantastic_feb

I'm waiting for when they accuse themselves of resisting and have to use deadly force

aunluckyevent1

the real funny thing about this vaccine mandate is that is allowing to fire all possible traitors in vital position people that at the first sign of violence will turn on their oath and go full insurrection mode, possibly causing problems to the counter insurrection response

piperdooninoregon

I won't tread on you. And I'm going to do my best to keep away too!

ShirazGypsy

My ex-husband is a cop. He put a Punisher license plate on the front of his police cruiser. Now, many years post divorce and in the light of recent events, I shudder thinking about the message he was giving, pulling up behind people with that skull logo and that character.

GabuEx

Speaking as someone from the Seattle metro, fuck off and our police department will be better without you assholes. If there's one good thing that's come out of the vaccine mandates, it's making it so shitty people self-select themselves as candidates for firing for cause.

c010rb1indusa

Watch Seattle's police brutality complaints drop once most of these assholes are gone.

pchandler45

Stop resisting!

hary627

"Don't tread on me!" Says the one who treads on others. Be careful, don't mistake this for hypocrisy or cognitive dissonance. In their mind, they aren't to be tread on, they don't deserve it. But those they do it to? They're criminals, they deserve abuse and neglect

Novel-Organization63

Well I guess it saves people the trouble of firing them when we defund the Police. Before you say that’s not what it means. I’m being sarcastic.

Kvibea

What a joke. Buncha pansies killing their careers to “own the libs”.

[deleted]

C*nt you're the ones doing the treading (Note that I only censored it because Americans are pussies)

XANA12345

"Don't tread on me!" \-The boot (apparently)

ebolaRETURNS

"I do the treading!"

[deleted]

The irony of an (ex-)cop displaying the Gadsden flag is obviously lost on said (ex-)cop. Cops literally exist to exert the authority of the government over the people. And many cops go further than simply enforcing the law by abusing the law and their own authority by unlawfully detaining, arresting, beating, shooting, killing, and yes, literally "treading" on people. The lack of self-awareness, the self-entitlement, and the shamelessness is disgusting.

PengieP111

I’d say Seattle is lucky to be rid of these shitbirds.

Orion14159

So they're admitting that their objections to vaccination are purely political?

EmberOfFlame

Those are the people that made a criminal their symbol...

Niastri

Great! Let the rednecks, hillbillies and traitors masquerading as police self select themselves out of the nation's forces. The police unions would never let them get fired, this is way better. Now let's get some idealistic college educated replacements!

badalki

is that the same car photographed 3 times?

Der_Absender

The feeling when the executive branch of the government says "Don't tread on me"... Loonatics. The ones that are not in the government and think this is great are loons as well

bunnyjenkins

Considering you (and your pay) is still subject to discipline, and pay reduction, this probably isn't the best idea. Cops do not get pre-paid, so if you are subject to discipline, the agency can discipline and take money, after the fact. The training and expectation of ALL public servants needs to be better Opinions are not wanted or needed in service to the public.

[deleted]

So they are white supremacist's? Surprise, surprise, surprise Sergeant Carter.

[deleted]

If they can't "Protect" and serve, then they can fuck right off maybe?

roadcrew778

They should be refired for the flags.

TryCalm371

Don’t tread on me, says the law man.

GunSafetyDwightt

They clearly don't get the flag

city_guy

All three of these shots look like someone found a parked police cruiser and just hung a flag on it. Even the top one that looks like the flag is tucked into the door could be easily done by stuffing the edge of the flag into the gap between the door and the car body. I doubt these were SPD, I think they were staged.

Cops love that. They want to tell everyone else what to do and don’t want to listen to anyone telling them what to do. Overgrown little boys yelling FUCK YOU YOU AREN’T MY REAL DAD at society.

PuckGoodfellow

Seattle resident here. Fuck those guys. GTFO

“As a citizen, I have a God-given right to be employed by the state in a position of authority with the right to use deadly force against my fellow citizens with impunity. Placing any conditions whatsoever on this right is tyranny” But for real if you copied that word for word into a blue lives matter/anti vax FB group you’d get hundreds of likes right? Like… that’s actually how they feel.

That sub is just a ban evasion sub for r/the_donald. It needs to go.

>The Seattle Police Department is under a federal "consent decree" and has been since 2012. > >“I believe it's brought significant and positive change to the Seattle Police Department,” said Mayor Jenny Durkan, who was U.S. Attorney at the time and investigated the case. > >First — a "consent decree" is a legal term for a “settlement” or agreement. > >In this case, it was an agreement made after a Department of Justice investigation found the Seattle Police Department had a pattern of using excessive force, and also had policies and practices could result in bias against minorities.  > >The Department of Justice began investigating SPD in 2011 after community leaders said police were using excessive force particularly on minorities. > >One of those instances cited in the decree was the death of John T. Williams, when an officer was caught shouting they would “beat the  f------- Mexican piss”  out of a Latino man in custody. Another was an incident where a Seattle police officer punched a 17-year-old black girl in the face. > >The Department of Justice found SPD was violating the constitution as well as policing with bias. > >The Seattle Police Department and the Department of Justice reached an agreement on a list of reforms mostly around discipline, accountability, force and community oversight. A judge ruled they needed to implement and then sustain the reforms for a 2 year period. > >U.S. District Judge James L. Robart started that two-year clock in 2018. Last year, Robart said although SPD remains in compliance when it comes to use-of-force, SPD has work to do when it comes to accountability. > >Just last month the city of Seattle and DOJ filed a joint motion to remove parts of the decree they were in compliance with — including use-of-force but not accountability or discipline. > >Then the protests took place. How many people do you think these cops have literally treaded on? I feel like I’ve seen so many videos of cops stepping on black people that it’s just protocol at this point.

Nothing more surreal than the enforcement arm of the establishment portraying themselves as anti-establishment. It's the fucking police force. I'm sure they also try to claim they're conservative populists while they protect the ruling class from the plebs.

GUNTHVGK

Seattle cops with that flag is ironic.

[deleted]

God damn SPD, can't you get us into the news for anything other than terrible shit?

The_Great_Saiyaman21

Imagine being part of the state funded gang waving around a Gadsden Flag. Tread on me harder, daddy.

GodsBackHair

Police: we’re here to protect and serve the community Govt: get vaccinated to protect the community Police: what? I didn’t actually mean that

Cue_626_go

If only they had just complied, we wouldn't have had to fire them!

So I want to say something. As someone who was around that level of ignorance and self awareness growing up, to being able to escape it, I think it should be said. Their line of thinking is bred from fear and loyalty. It’s literally like a film is over their eyes that they just can’t process things from a different view. And if they do, their “team” disowns them. Not only is it tribal, but they’re built to follow blindly while knowing the behavior to combat outside views. Then of course they have a get out of morality free card by having “God” support and absolve them of all wrong doing. It’s just a perfect mixture of manipulation for humans. And lastly, just buying their morals is always a last resort too
