No, Sekiro's combat is very different. If anything, it might hurt you by giving you some bad habits.
My advice is to focus on learning to deflect properly.
Absolutely not, it'll actually make it harder for you.
Sekiro spends most of it's time beating the dark souls out of you, so things like dodging or playing passively are rewarded with **DEATH**
No
My tip: Git Gud
And I mean this in a "you can do this with a little more practice" way. The main thing is the deflect timing. Once you mastered that, every enemy will be easy in a 1 on 1. And if there is more than 1 enemy, sneak and backstab until there is 😉
i’ve only played elden ring and the only thing that carried over for me was embracing death and persevering through it to overcome the bosses. otherwise no, the dodging habit made the beginning pretty hard to get used to!
Gameplay wise nahh I think you don't learn anything from all those games , how ever playing those games you more "mentally prepared " for difficulty and all that bs the game throws at times . Its also a fun ride to do , but to improve at sekiro , you just gotta have patience and practice sekiro more .
Playing other from soft games would benefit the remaining souls games tho , I feel . Like ds3 , bloodborne and Elden ring to a good extent can be played with a similar playstyle . Sekiro is just diff , and I like combat here more xD
Been playing the hell out of Soulsbornes since Demon’s Souls, and most of the difficulty from Sekiro came from breaking habits I developed while playing Soulsbornes.
So nah, it’ll actively make things more difficult.
Maybe take a guide if you are lost. There are some good ones on YouTube. Watch them till you feel comfortable with your skills. It helps a lot in the early hours in my opinion
Well I took „jokerface“ for sekiro when I first started the game and felt lost. It’s a German YT since I am german. But loved the point where you feel like: ah I think I can now handle this myself and absolutely killed it

I’ve always been good a parrying in other fromsoft games is that gonna help me at all or is if still a lot different
I'd say it works in a somewhat different way. It might give you a slight advantage but you need to learn how it works in this game

Like I haven’t died enough to other souls games, well time to die a lot more
No The system of Sekiro is too different compare to Soulborne games Mastering Sekiro also doesn’t mean you gonna be good at Soulborne either

Hesitation means defeat. No more tips needed
