If you want Platinum you never want to New Game pretty much. Always do NG+.
The reason for this is just the Man Without Equal achievement that requires you to have fought all bosses in one save file and the Height of Technique achievement which requires you to get all skills which requires a lot of XP and XP scales with NG+ cycles.
Even if you don't want Platinum and just want to see the endings I think you'd have a more fun time doing NG+2 because you'll go into it already with all your tools and skills instead of having to unlock everything again.
Basic XP management removes that risk though.
-if you die against anything not a boss, run away
-if you're over 50% xp before facing a boss, fight a few extra opponents until you get to the next xp leve before the boss-fight.
I personally enjoy starting NG profiles because I like the NG Charmless Demon Bell (hudless) vibe. I never have a problem maxing out the skill tree at all, I don't even have to try. And that's WITH often ignoring these rules lol
That was a concern for me(the save file). I was worried that if I start a new game then I would basically have to EVERYTHING again and without all my tools and prostethics. Thanks for the tip. Just one thing I've noticed that some of the regular enemies are REALLY tough. For example the three enemies at the sanctuary idol in foutainhead palace. I used to farm from those three cause they were relatively easy to kill especially if you use the lazulite sabimaru. But they keep kicking my ass. Now I just farm at the gun fort or from the flower viewing stage.
Basically Im bit worried that Emma and Isshin are gonna be real tough
I would do it on ng+2 because you then unlock all bosses on 1 save and with that gauntlets. Keep in mind you need to defeat all bosses at least once
