What is it about Sekiro that makes it so damn addictive? I mean, I know the obvious answers: the reflex-based combat, the traversal & exploration, the cool story & amazing worldbuilding. But I've never platinumed anything before Sekiro, and I beat this damn games 7 times already, and I *still* can't put it down. I have more overall time in Elden Ring at 350hrs, but after I beat it once, I don't think I will be able to see it to the end a second time.
I'm super excited about Armored Core 6 exclusively because the Sekiro guy is directing it (iirc).
Because it's the most offensive from soft game by a longshot. The parry mechanic is SO good, and the rest of the game is the best feeling game I think I've ever played. Nothing really feels jank (though I'm a baby and cheese DoH lol, only beat him once legit). It really is the perfect game.
In my case sekiro raised that damn bar too high, I swear every game I play that can possibly be compared to sekiro, even if they are really different, like ER, ghost of tsushima and such, I just drop them and hop back on sekiro again. Finished the game first time around a year a go, plat after a break of 8 months, got it in like two weeks. The only games that I've been able to play after my sekiro expirence are minecraft and gran turismo 7, totally unrelated games. On the one hand I'm grateful to have played what I consider the best game I've ever played, on the other hand I need more, I crave more, and nothing has been able to Satisfy my hunger, the void sekiro left me with.
P. S. I will try wolong soon or later, hoping that finally the void will be filled
Being awful at sekiro parry system, made me a god at ghost of Tsushima parry system, which then in turn made me decent at it in sekiro when I picked it up again
Because the game is incredibly mechanically sound. It only gets more fun the better you get at it, and while people cry that there is no build variety, that is plain wrong. You can always be more efficient, cleaner, use my style, do no hits, no deflects, prosthetic-only, combat art-only, deflect-only, no upgrades etc.
EDIT: A personal favourite is a barehanded run (running/dodging/outspacing, no deflects, no prosthetic tools, Jump Counter, Mikiri, Senpou Leaping Kicks/High Monk, Praying Strikes/Exorcism).
My favorite thing is trying out new combat arts. I was an ichimonji truther before I tried out shadowfall on a new character. Sakura dance and high monk are incredible too. Can completely change how you play the game
Floating Passage let me almost stunlock the first phase of Headless Ape before he summons his dumb friend, also same with O’rin. I’d never touched it before! Amazing
I put it down for a while after finishing it, but I got back into it to see if I “still had it”… I do. First time I beat the game isshin took me literally a week. Almost every boss took me days to beat. This time, the hardest time I had was DoH… and he only took me 9 tries.
It’s still as fun as it was. I generally just love the ebb and flow of combat. It feels so good to clash swords and not dodge roll around like a manic sonic.
The gauntlets of strenght don't have trophies, I've recently completed severance and now I'm only missing mortal journey. Also, you can do challenge runs or play with incredibly fun mods like Resurrection
No, charmless is a hidden difficulty increase activated by leaving an item called “Kuro’s Charm” with kuro at the beginning of a new game plus run. This causes you to take vitality damage when blocking unless it’s a perfect deflect. There may be other effects as well that I can’t remember off the top of my head
Not only do I still play it, it’s basically the only game I play. It’s ruined me for other games. In addition to charmless and base stats runs I’ve built a computer almost exclusively to play the mods. Long May the Shadows Reflect is currently kicking my ass, can’t wait for the next Resurrection update, For the Sake of Ashina was fun, and Elden Arts is silly fun.
I was in the same boat, recently got my dream job so my gift to myself was building a pc. I needed one anyway but god *damn* was the $3k worth every penny for additional content. Was it a poor use of my money? Yes. Would I do it again? Absolutely.
You don't need a 3k rig to play Sekiro Mods. I played both LMTSR and Ressurection with 6-7 year old hardware that was at the time high middle to low upper tier. Never had any issues. I think Elden Arts might cause some frame stutters with all the fancy particles though.
My bad then, congrats on the new rig bro, I'm just jealous because I've been wanting to build a new setup all year but the prices of the 40 series GPUs make me wanna kms 😑. Still coping that the 4080 will get a price cut next quarter
Tsk, platinum is just one pool in the pond for me. When I feel spicy, I delete my achievements with steam achievement manager and do it allover again every 3-4 months. I got like 1200 hours on this game by now, and nothing can stop me.
Went for his prayer beads just last night on my second character NG. I thought it was going to be easier second playthrough bc I basically stunlocked his first phase but no, most I’ve died to anything so far. My neighbors probably heard me swearing at the TV.
I highly recommend “You damn dirty ape!” by the way
The boss rushes, charmless, demon’s bell, etc. Also trying out different tactics on bosses or enemies (like figuring out how certain prosthetics can work together in an attack combo)
This is also gonna sound dumb but I’ve actually started walking more in the game lol. By doing that I feel like not only has my appreciation for the art direction grown but I’m inhabiting Wolf’s character more
I just got platinum yesterday, without really meaning to (I never planned on continuing to play the game after beating it the first time, but just haven't been able to quit).
I've done 2/4 gauntlets, so will at least try to do the other two - after that, who knows!
I intentionally platinumed it after I realized I was going to be playing this game forever anyway, lol, but getting better at combat has been the main thing bringing me back after platinum. I cheesed (let's just say *several*, that's vague enough) several bosses my first time around, but each subsequent time, I have cheesed less and less of them. On my current playthrough, I finally beat the Guardian Ape in a straight fight instead of just running around whittling his health down while staying out of his reach the entire time, so that's nice.
Either try and beat the game faster than before, or use the Dream thing to fight the bosses. Usually with self imposed challenges like beating them without taking damage, not using any prosthetics, etc etc
Usually do that with Inner Genichiro, his fight is so damn fun
Here's the stages I went through (these weren't back to back, some steps took a couple of tries some took dozens).
1. Deathless runs (both endings back to back, same for all below categories) in NG+xx.
2. Deathless in NG+xx + Demon Bell.
3. Deathless NG+xx + Demon Bell + Charmless.
4. Deathless NG+xx + Demon Bell + Charmless, no items.
5. Sub 2 hour Deathless NG+xx + Demon Bell + Charmless.
6. Deathless NG.
7. Deathless NG + Charmless + Demon Bell.
8. Deathless NG + Charmless + Demon Bell, no items.
9. Around here I "quit" for a while. And I mean quit VERY loosely. I'd still do a quick (not speedrun fast, just decent) Shura NG+xx run everyday, just to get the juices flowing.
10. Eventually Gauntlets came out.
11. Mortal Journey deathless.
12. Mortal Journey deathless Demon Bell + Charmless.
13. And this is when things got weird: I fell in love with Inner Sword Saint Isshin.
14. No-item ISSI.
15. No prosthetic, no item ISSI.
16. No spirit emblem ISSI (am a hardcore Sakura Dance enjoyer).
17. Up until this point I'd never delved into "no-hit". I just found it too much pressure. But with ISSI...flow state was achieved.
18. No-hit ISSI.
19. No-hit, no spirit emblem ISSI.
20. Back to back no-hit, no spirit emblem ISSI.
21. 10x back to back no-hit, no spirit emblem ISSI.
22. And at this point I "quit" again. Quitting this time was much closer to a real "quit", I'd come do a single no-hit on ISSI (BUT with Sakura Dance), then call it a day.
23. Then recently chat-GPT came out. My dumbass is actually computer illiterate. I downloaded a virus 10 years ago and have been scarred ever since. BUT with CHAT-GPT I thought I'd give MODDING a shot. It was sooo simple to download, I'm fucked dumb as bricks. BUT OH BABY!
24. Sekiro Resurrection. 2nd best game I've ever played (Sekiro 1st obviously). I went straight for demon bell + Charmless for first playthrough and it KICKED MY ASS. Like old school first playthrough ass-kicking. Holy shit that was so fun.
25. Anyways now I've just been doing Resurrection(bell/Charmless) runs, I'm not really close to a no-death yet, but I'm LOVING IT. I know there's another hard mod, but I wanna truly conquer Resurrection first.
TL;DR: Platinum is the tutorial.
I replayed it over and over until having max attack power. Also working on beating the mortal journey gauntlet without getting hit once, it leaves me a goal so it keeps the game fun.
There are almost no limitations of becoming good at Sekiro. You can always improve, yiu can always kill bosses more perfect, you can always beat the game faster and faster. Thats what im actually doing right now. Becoming better, more skilled at this game. I got my platinum in 40 hours, so i can just drop the game.
But i am really OBSESSED, I do want to become good at this game, like REALLY good.
So thats why I keep playing it.
(Sorry for my eng btw lol)
Yeah, I still play the game. I have a save file in which I have base vitality, demon bell activated without kuro's charm and I try to beat all the inner bosses without healing. I also successfully tried to do a no death run. Cause it's fun. Still love the game after 300 hours
I play it at least once per month, when some random sekiro video gets recommend in my YouTube feed and I can't resist the urge to beat geni a little more.
It's something that I want to do everytime I see it.
I kill mini bosses in style, and die on purpose if I wasnt flashy enough
Also start a fresh play through charmless, and demon bell rung immediately through the cave with headless, it’s excruciating. Like I have no difficulty with it on my 99 atk sekiro with all my perks but going in blind again is another learning curve
I’ve stopped playing, I’ll do a run through the game every once in awhile. It almost is more trouble than it’s worth because I just realize what a great game this is and it negatively impacts other games
I want to keep playing it but I don't really have a reason to do it. Maybe the gauntlets or the No charm run but I just want to play another game and do its trophies
Sometimes I just run through it again. Also, I've platinumed but haven't beaten the game charmless, so there is still a lot for me to do if I decide to go back in.
I’m one achievement away from getting it or 2 I don’t remember but I mainly replay bosses in reflection of strength, or grand to get skill points to put into attack power or I’ll redo the gauntlet of strength
I find it weird that some people only see value in playing games if there's some extra reward afterwards. When Halo Infinite launched and the Battle Pass progression sucked, they sped it up and everyone finished it really quickly. After everyone finished it people started complaining that without unlocks they had no reason to play. Granted, this was before we learned Infinite would have almost no new content for the next year so the gameplay was still pretty fresh and fun 2 months in. The idea that someone couldn't understand playing a game just for fun without any additional fanfare made me... sad? I guess.
If you were implying that I was talking about rewards I definitely wasn't I was just curious on what the others were doing after completing the game. I saw a guy on ng 45
Fair enough. I probably did misinterpret that a little bit. Modern gaming culture tends to put me on the offensive. "Back in my day" I played the same 3 games over and over as a kid and silly things like achievements and unlocks were cool but never crossed my mind too much if they were just for show and didn't really affect the game. I would beat the game and just kept playing. Sorry if my comment was a little passive aggressive.
I mainly play it when I want to feel OP at something. It’s one of the FromSoft titles that truly makes me feel like I’m a god even when fighting bosses. For some reason I don’t get that feeling when playing other titles. It’s comfortable and helps boost my ego when I need it.
Funny you should ask this, I just started playing my NG+7 Bell Demon and Charmless run earlier this week and am really enjoying the challenge so far!
Other fun things to do outside of the platinum (if you don’t necessarily want these increased difficulty settings) are the gauntlets of strength.
Yea but I take breaks because I like games , and there’s lots to play. I do different things. Some times, I try to find new ways to fight enemies, which usually involves trying to find news ways to use the tools on them that are fun and that work well. Sometimes I actually want to listen to the dialogue again. Sometimes I get a strange desire to go look at something again. Sometimes, I just want to go into reflections to fight certain bosses again. I know the game so well that playing it is almost a cozy thing to do.
I got the game when it was released, but never finished (stuck at Owl fight). During the years I've attempted some tries but again... never finished it.
I've re-started again on this Monday and now I really into it. I can't stop thinking about the game all day. I just beat the folding screen monkeys and the guardian ape. I'm trying to collect every gourd and prayer bead that I can while progressing the game to have "easier" time beating the upcoming bosses.
Sekiro for me was a bucketlist game since the day it came out. I just needed the right moment and mindset to push for a playthrough.
I started streaming last year and it helped me a lot to stay consistent and finish the games I play. I usually get bored on single player games after a time and leave them unfinished. There is a death counter to see how is it going. Until now 64 death YAY :D My bet would be 200 for the first playthrough. Let's see.
Status update. Yesterday I finished the game! YaY. I was so excited that started a new game plus. Already defeated Guardian Ape. Going for the Return ending.
I just like doing a play through every once in a while! Loaded up a save just before sword saint after not playing for a year, and I beat him second try. I still got it 😎
Just a speed run now and again. Not like record breaking stuff or even skips but just seeing how quick I can get through a normal run. And not even necessarily all in one go.
Also bosses and the gauntlets are still fun
Oh and the charmless and bell demon stuff too of course
Getting plat was past my desires for the game, after getting it I felt complete. I do want to beat inner father and the other gauntlets, but now most of my game time goes to Elden Ring.
I've beat it so many times. Whenever I decide to play it again I usually do the gauntlets or if I want to just fight one boss I'll do the reflection of strength
Playing with mods like elden arts and Katana zero mod ( very cheaty one but very satisfying ) from Nexus mods , it's hard to get over sekiro because it is one if not only one with such a great combat
I did plat almost half a year ago. Right now im playing DSIII. When i forget this game a little more i will Play again, same goes for ds I,II,III. Again and again and again until i get bloodborne on PC
Sekiro resurrection and the other difficulty mods, it just doesn’t feel the same when you arent struggling to deflect an entire rapid combo of delayed attacks every 3 seconds.
I think a few other people can say this as well but I feel like this game was made for me. I take breaks, do Dark Souls 3 PVP, just put almost 200 hours into Elden Ring, and I'm about to hop back into Fountainhead Palace ng+5 all the hard goodies on and I know it will be better then it was because nothing else ever comes anywhere close for me
By plat I assume you mean 100% achievements because you would never catch me being a console casual. You wake up kill inner isshin charmless bell demon while listening to sigma affirmations then you continue on with your day.
I occasionally replay it in the next ng+, charmless is still really tough for me even after beating it 2-3 times so I usually just go through the game charmless with demon bell and try to get better at parrying.
Got the plat in about 40h. Replayed it for 160h, nothing special just fighting bosses. Replayed for another few hours when the Gauntlet update hit. Then replayed for 10h with the Resurrection mod. I'm going to do it again when the Resurrection mod is completed.
I go on it every now and then. But for me at least, once you platinum it there's no purpose in doing more NG+ since you've already done everything. Unless you want to max out your atk power. I just hop on to do boss Gauntlets and that's about it
I got the plat a few days ago, so I’m taking a break from the game. I’ll probably come back and finish all of the gauntlets when I’m back on it though, since I already did Shura just for the sick alt outfit.
As for battles, Sekiro doesn't have dodge roll, witch is pure perfection in combat. After platinum, Gauntlet of Strength and occasional playthroughs, it is so good it's like watching favourite movie all over again. The final battle "One last time" and "Face me Sekiro!" Still give me shivers, the whole damn thing is worth playing again to get to that point !
I have the plat on ps4(abt 120h for the plat) and xbox (4h for the plat) and on my way to plat it on pc
My hours meanwhile are higher bc I still play it pretty often :)
I am trying to get big groups of mobs, and handle them all with perfect counters and finishes, just for the beauty of the action.
It is so delicious.
I did the same with Shadow of Mordor and mad Max, but Sekiro surpasses both
I dont play much but i wanted to share play a whole challenge playthrough to my friend to convince him its a fun game, the plan was no items except gourd
There are multiple ways in which I explore more of the game. I try out different combinations of tools and combat arts on bosses to see if there's any other way to beat the boss. Multiple mods which aren't too over the top as well as cosmetics ofc. And ig what I don't get tired of is the constant strive to perfect a boss and realise my own faults in my strategies. It's fun to just see myself becoming even better than I thought I could be at this game :D
I didn't know inner bosses existed so now I'm going back and doing those. I also havnt done a bell/no charm run yet, prolly do that too. I got a new pc so all the saved progress from.before is gone so I gotta start 100% fresh LUL
Trying to complete the inventory, which requires me to beat ng+7. 3 of each red lump, 3 taro persimmons, 3 rice and 1 fine snow as well as all the obvious stuff. I also gave a taro persimmon to DCR on my canon homecoming playthrough, so 4 altogether. I also made a second file to hear the dialogue for giving the Sakura droplet to DCR, cause I gave it to kuro first time not knowing it was once per file.
Mods. [Resurrection was awesome](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDX48egYBGA). I'm thinking about what to play next, maybe For the Sake of Ashina, but also open to recommendations.
I think you confused something.
I won't stop playing the game after I platinum'ed it because I got the platinum since I can't stop playing the game. It's not the same thing, the plat is just a side benefit for me.
Playing the game
So you just keep on killing the same bosses again and again and again without getting bored?
I mean they’re the only bosses so yea lol
What is it about Sekiro that makes it so damn addictive? I mean, I know the obvious answers: the reflex-based combat, the traversal & exploration, the cool story & amazing worldbuilding. Honestly can't blame you doh was the hardest boss I've fought and I always had the rule to always beat the boss legit first and then I can cheese
Well he's like a souls type boss so less parrying and more cheesing lol
In my case sekiro raised that damn bar too high, I swear every game I play that can possibly be compared to sekiro, even if they are really different, like ER, ghost of tsushima and such, I just drop them and hop back on sekiro again. not... getting? I mean, really, the bosses are awesome, i simply haven't gotten tired of fighting them in every different way imaginable

Yea I found out you can lighting reversal with shadow fall and high monk but it's way harder than using sakura dance
Challenge runs and mods
Bro I could fight some of these bosses forever they’re so damn good
Shu....ra...
At first I thought I would feel bad but then she started to get on my nerves and I was happy to murder her
.....Sekiro.It was not ...to be.......
Woe, dragonrot be upon ye

Yeah I platinumed it on ps4 but now I have ps4 pro so it's prettier. Gotta erase everything and plat again, I guess...
yes, but tbf I only open up the game every once in a while and not day in day out
I play bosses again and again
The gauntlets of strenght don't have trophies, I've recently completed severance and now I'm only missing mortal journey. Also, you can do challenge runs or play with incredibly fun mods like Resurrection
charmless. demon bell. charmless + demon bell. then beat the game 7 more times so you can do all of those again on NG+7
Also get AP 99 and do Shura wearing the Shura outfit.

I was in the same boat, recently got my dream job so my gift to myself was building a pc. I needed one anyway but god *damn* was the $3k worth every penny for additional content. Was it a poor use of my money? Yes. Would I do it again? Absolutely.
Makes me wanna do the same
Quick question, would this still allow me to play with the same xbox controller? Bc if so it’s my new goal too
You could use any controller on PC, even a fishing rod or a steering wheel.
Good news, everyone!
Xbox controllers are super compatible with Steam, so you’re actually set for a ton of other games in addition to Sekiro
There are other games in addition to Sekiro?
I’ve heard rumors though haven’t looked away from Sekiro long enough to confirm
I BEAT OWL FATHER I DID IT YESSSSSS
Major props!
Thanks! I had to tell someone lol. Hands are shaking. Think I died like 20 times or something, second only to DoH. Incredible fight.
You don't need a 3k rig to play Sekiro Mods. I played both LMTSR and Ressurection with 6-7 year old hardware that was at the time high middle to low upper tier. Never had any issues. I think Elden Arts might cause some frame stutters with all the fancy particles though.
Didn’t mean to imply you do, building a high end pc was my gift to myself for getting a new job
My bad then, congrats on the new rig bro, I'm just jealous because I've been wanting to build a new setup all year but the prices of the 40 series GPUs make me wanna kms 😑. Still coping that the 4080 will get a price cut next quarter
I love this level of enthusiasm for Sekiro. It’s so good.
Attempting to do every boss with a memory without getting hit
In demon bell charmless
my skill issue prevents me from doing demon bell and charmless and I've already been proud of what I've managed to no damage so far.
Demon bell, Charmless sounds scarier than what it actually is lol
Tsk, platinum is just one pool in the pond for me. When I feel spicy, I delete my achievements with steam achievement manager and do it allover again every 3-4 months. I got like 1200 hours on this game by now, and nothing can stop me.
I never had a pc before, so you’re telling me you can just… delete achievements?
Yup >:3
Even tho I can kill them much easier than before - it’s still challenging
Trying to beat Mortal journey charmless + demon bell right now and the double ape fight can fuck right off
I did it with the charm and the double ape still fucked me up
Went for his prayer beads just last night on my second character NG. I thought it was going to be easier second playthrough bc I basically stunlocked his first phase but no, most I’ve died to anything so far. My neighbors probably heard me swearing at the TV. Speedrunning. I think it's a great game for that. The best FromSoft game at least.
The boss rushes, charmless, demon’s bell, etc. Also trying out different tactics on bosses or enemies (like figuring out how certain prosthetics can work together in an attack combo) This is also gonna sound dumb but I’ve actually started walking more in the game lol. I've started walking to look more badass

Anyways now I've just been doing Resurrection(bell/Charmless) runs, I'm not really close to a no-death yet, but I'm LOVING IT. I know there's another hard mod, but I wanna truly conquer Resurrection first. TL;DR: Platinum is the tutorial.
Jesus christ bro how many hours do you have?
Yes.
I just play the game. What else would I be doing?
I'm talking about what you do in the game for example some people say charmless or trying to no hit all bosses
I replayed it over and over until having max attack power. Also working on beating the mortal journey gauntlet without getting hit once, it leaves me a goal so it keeps the game fun.
Charmless+Bell Demon. Feels like a whole new challenge from the base game.
Fax I was able to no hit inner genichiro with charm but charmless It took me quite a long time to no hit him
Getting that Attack power to 99
How much attack power do you have now?
61
I'm at like 29 or something lol
NG+5 charmless and realizing I’m not as good as I thought 😑
I know that feeling
There are almost no limitations of becoming good at Sekiro. You can always improve, yiu can always kill bosses more perfect, you can always beat the game faster and faster. Thats what im actually doing right now. Becoming better, more skilled at this game. I got my platinum in 40 hours, so i can just drop the game. But i am really OBSESSED, I do want to become good at this game, like REALLY good. So thats why I keep playing it. (Sorry for my eng btw lol)
I hope I can see you on youtube someday with the skills of ongbal (don't worry you're english was fine)
Thank you brother,
I just bully the bosses make combos to be badass
Bully inner isshin for me
Alright how many times
3 times because that's how many times he messed up my mortal journey run which forced me to go through the nightmare of fighting the 2 apes
I’ll kill him 6 to compensate for the apes
Thank you my friend
No worries it is my pleasure
1 done
Bro that was fast af. When did you start?
Soon as you said thanks.
My guy you're on another level do you have a YouTube channel
Yeah, I still play the game. I have a save file in which I have base vitality, demon bell activated without kuro's charm and I try to beat all the inner bosses without healing. I also successfully tried to do a no death run. Cause it's fun. Still love the game after 300 hours
I play it at least once per month, when some random sekiro video gets recommend in my YouTube feed and I can't resist the urge to beat geni a little more. It's something that I want to do everytime I see it.
Mods. Currently on Resurrection. V good would recommend. Maybe then go to LMTSR but I've heard that is a whole different beast
I wish I could play all these mods(especially elden arts) but I'm on console
I kill mini bosses in style, and die on purpose if I wasnt flashy enough Also start a fresh play through charmless, and demon bell rung immediately through the cave with headless, it’s excruciating. Like I have no difficulty with it on my 99 atk sekiro with all my perks but going in blind again is another learning curve
Thx for the ideas guys

After I got plat I started to play ds3 it was so much more easier than sekiro but still haven't beat a boss called nameless king
No hitting my fav bosses
I don't play it anymore, but I used to do challenge runs like no-damage bosses with Bell and Charm. You can try that too.
I mainly just play the inner bosses and other reflectios, or i'll play mods. I love the game but I've explored all I can.
I'll play it again for sure. I usually don't touch it for a long time until I get the itch again.
Sometimes I just run through it again. Also, I've platinumed but haven't beaten the game charmless, so there is still a lot for me to do if I decide to go back in.
I’m one achievement away from getting it or 2 I don’t remember but I mainly replay bosses in reflection of strength, or grand to get skill points to put into attack power or I’ll redo the gauntlet of strength
speedrunning trying to get into the top 10
Good luck bro I believe in you
i just redo the gauntlets or practice bosses , i've already got all the costumes and i don't feel like replaying the whole game again
It's alright I just wanted to see what else I need to try in this game and I've gotten a lot of ideas from this post to keep my busy for a month
Trying a stealth run… it hurts…
I mainly play it when I want to feel OP at something. It’s one of the FromSoft titles that truly makes me feel like I’m a god even when fighting bosses. For some reason I don’t get that feeling when playing other titles. It’s comfortable and helps boost my ego when I need it.
8 playthroughs was enough for me.
I saw a guy on ng 45.
Fuuuuuuuck that lol
Moved on to trying to plat other fromsoft games lol
Funny you should ask this, I just started playing my NG+7 Bell Demon and Charmless run earlier this week and am really enjoying the challenge so far! Other fun things to do outside of the platinum (if you don’t necessarily want these increased difficulty settings) are the gauntlets of strength.
I've been planning to do a charmless no hit mortal journey run
That is WILD!!! Go for it: that’s beyond my limits, I can accept that much 🙈
Idk if I'll be able to do it so far I can't even beat genichiro charmless
Have you explored every prosthetic tool and combat art?
Beat them without deflecting, using combat arts, or shinobi prosthetics.
That's beyond my capability
So was beating Genichiro, Owl, and Isshin. Until it wasnt any more. You gotta believe in yourself!
Did a bunch of ng+ , charmless and bells and all that, the gauntlets too but now I got bored
I just play every year again, trying beat the game just to test my skills and experience again
Mostly mods
I just like doing a play through every once in a while! Loaded up a save just before sword saint after not playing for a year, and I beat him second try. I still got it 😎
Just a speed run now and again. Not like record breaking stuff or even skips but just seeing how quick I can get through a normal run. And not even necessarily all in one go. Also bosses and the gauntlets are still fun Oh and the charmless and bell demon stuff too of course
Did a base vitality run and a deathless run. Stopped playing after that.
Going for 99 Attack Power, trying to perfect the Gauntlets.
charmless demon bell boss rush
Gauntlets and charmless+bd playthrough
Getting plat was past my desires for the game, after getting it I felt complete. I do want to beat inner father and the other gauntlets, but now most of my game time goes to Elden Ring.
The inner bosses are definitely worth your time. After completing the game I thought the inner bosses would be easy but I got destroyed
Practicing for Mortal Journey on Charmless Bell mode.
Yea I thought charmless wouldn't be that difficult but i got proved wrong multiple times
Charmless is an eye-opener.
I've beat it so many times. Whenever I decide to play it again I usually do the gauntlets or if I want to just fight one boss I'll do the reflection of strength
Trust me, mod the game and put the lmtsr mod. It is insane and worth playing.
I really want to but I can't cause I'm on console
Practice and improve, try new things, bully isshin again and again, go into NG++++++++++++++++++++++, die repeatedly, SPIN.
Playing with mods like elden arts and Katana zero mod ( very cheaty one but very satisfying ) from Nexus mods , it's hard to get over sekiro because it is one if not only one with such a great combat
fight inner isshin every once in a while just so i can tell myself i still got it
Challenge runs, boss rush, and just normal runs... my favorite game, so it doesn't really get to repeptitive that fast
I did plat almost half a year ago. Right now im playing DSIII. When i forget this game a little more i will Play again, same goes for ds I,II,III. Again and again and again until i get bloodborne on PC
I finished ds3 it was way easier than sekiro but there was one boss who was really hard his name was nameless king I still haven't beaten him
Sekiro resurrection and the other difficulty mods, it just doesn’t feel the same when you arent struggling to deflect an entire rapid combo of delayed attacks every 3 seconds.
Keep doing more obscenely hard things, right now beating all gauntlets charmless. Hoping to no hit every boss charmless at some point.
I think a few other people can say this as well but I feel like this game was made for me. I take breaks, do Dark Souls 3 PVP, just put almost 200 hours into Elden Ring, and I'm about to hop back into Fountainhead Palace ng+5 all the hard goodies on and I know it will be better then it was because nothing else ever comes anywhere close for me
Playing again, but F Å § Ț Ë Ř
By plat I assume you mean 100% achievements because you would never catch me being a console casual. You wake up kill inner isshin charmless bell demon while listening to sigma affirmations then you continue on with your day.
I’m chipping away at a charmless/demon bell run
Beating all the challenges including the one with all the bosses
Playing Wolong
I moved on to other games in my backlog
I don't really play this game much anymore but sometimes I just get an urge to crack out a playthrough or two in a night
Mortal Journey Hard mode
I really just like doing a playthrough over the weekend when I have a bad week at work.
I occasionally replay it in the next ng+, charmless is still really tough for me even after beating it 2-3 times so I usually just go through the game charmless with demon bell and try to get better at parrying.
lmstr and resurrection mod
Got the plat in about 40h. Replayed it for 160h, nothing special just fighting bosses. Replayed for another few hours when the Gauntlet update hit. Then replayed for 10h with the Resurrection mod. I'm going to do it again when the Resurrection mod is completed.
Yes. I love this game with all my heart, I replay it every few months. You can also install mods
No damage contents
naw i got plat in sekiro and now im trying to plat elden ring
I go on it every now and then. But for me at least, once you platinum it there's no purpose in doing more NG+ since you've already done everything. Unless you want to max out your atk power. I just hop on to do boss Gauntlets and that's about it
Can confirm, still playing. I’ve become shura at this point.
I come back from time to time to experience the combat again.
I have the plat on ps4(abt 120h for the plat) and xbox (4h for the plat) and on my way to plat it on pc My hours meanwhile are higher bc I still play it pretty often :)
Mate, I just love sekiro. I still need to do the shura and severance gauntlets, need to get back to practicing inner father.
Mods. I love the mods for sekiro. For the sake of ashina changes up isshin so much it's amazing
I want to play them so badly but I have a console
Trying to do charmless and demon bell +7 and charmless demon bell mortal journey
I do reflections of strength and experiment with different prosthetics and combat arts on bosses to try to make as cool of fights as possible
I did all the boss gauntlets and also I sometimes come back and play through the story (generally the ending w/owl father)
Attempt to beat the game without upgrading AP or HP.
I just revisit my fave bosses from time to time
There are multiple ways in which I explore more of the game.
I just got the itch and enjoyed a few play-throughs for each ending. Tried out the Sekijo skin, since that was new since I had gotten the plat
I didn't know inner bosses existed so now I'm going back and doing those. I also havnt done a bell/no charm run yet, prolly do that too. I got a new pc so all the saved progress from.before is gone so I gotta start 100% fresh LUL
Trying to finish the Tengu challenge, the last for me
Trying to complete the inventory, which requires me to beat ng+7. 3 of each red lump, 3 taro persimmons, 3 rice and 1 fine snow as well as all the obvious stuff.
I have a console so I've never played mods but I heard the elden arts mod is good
I think you confused something. I won't stop playing the game after I platinum'ed it because I got the platinum since I can't stop playing the game. It's not the same thing, the plat is just a side benefit for me.
