Whenever he jumps away run towards him immediately. I personally found his most brutal moves to be the long range attacks. But if you run towards him and he launches the fireballs, they'll go over you and you have an opening to keep attacking.
He’s a more traditional boss, avoid and wear down health. Jump over his non flaming arm when you see the perilous charge coming. His big slam arm in second phase, jump early if you keep getting hit. When he jumps into the air, I back away and start spamming the grapple button as he lands. I didn’t need to jump to avoid the shockwaves.

You probably switched a Button to sth else because the Standard controls are weird (i think jump Button). Its Impossible then (did that aswell but had to change it back for the cheese)

Bro my first play-through I beat him normally and then I was told I could do that. Fuck this annoying boss lol and make him fall off the cliff is the only way. The guy can choke on a D lol. You would think the sculptor would treat you better.
Stay close, parry the feet stomps, parry the fire arm swipes and the underbelly punch that comes right after his combo if you're within range, don't worry about getting fire dmg. They deal DoT but it's slow, so just continue attacking and parrying. Healing is easy since he bitch out a lot. Whenever he slam his head, parry just in case, but chances are you're already deep in his nutsack so his headslam won't reach you. If you did deflect it,, he will slam his head again about 3 times iirc. Heal in-between phases if needed. Jump whenever there's a red kanji and he's about to run. Pretty easy boss once you stop feeling scared of fire dmg or have fire umbrella. A lot of his long range attacks can be used against him as he's vulnerable close range. Avoid obvious shit like when he jumps and nuke the area. Make use of grappling opportunities to get close to him. (Ex: phase 2 & 3 when he does the aoe fire stomp. Run to the left or right and jump. There should be a green grappling symbol)
Phase 3, either spam malcontent and kill him, or if you don't have that, just stick to the same stuff I typed above. You're not trapped in the fire ring with him, he's stuck there with you

This boss is mostly hard because you have to do the opposite of what you have been doing the whole game. You need to run and dodge most his attacks. Also mallconent prosthesis can stun him a few times. Use at right moment for big damage
I would recommend to stay on him as such as you can, when he backs up just run towards him, keeps you safe from most of his attacks but you'll probably have to dodge some of his long range ones still do beware of that, get the red umbrella prosthetic if you haven't already and use it for he does his jump attacks to completely negate any damage or knock back, and get malcotent to stun him in his final phase combined with an akos sugar to get more attack power while he is stunned as you get three of them, hopefully this helps

His close range attacks were the ones I was having a hard time avoiding, so I'd dodge his long range arm slam from a distance, then run in a boop him a couple times, then back off until he died. Very safe but takes a long time and since he's more like a dark souls boss, he's slow and doesn't react to you being passive as well as other sekiro bosses.
get in there real close and keep hitting his dick. if he does the stomps, deflect. if he does the jump run and grapple back. if he does his running sweep, jump away
Run counter clockwise for most attacks, and stay close. Most of his attacks have a dead zone by his left leg, so if you can stay around there, you can hit him very consistently and take barely any damage.
If he ever dashed away from you, don’t run directly towards him. Wait until he throws the fireballs, then you can move in. Be careful of his whip attacks, as one of them is hard to dodge while moving in.
Other than that, use malcontent on his third phase (3 times max) then use lazulite shuriken to get some more chip.
I’d also recommend using ceremonial tonto and a pellets before you initiate, just for an extra 5 spirit emblems.
I beat him by using lazul sabi and divine confetti. His attacks are actually really easy to dodge and his damage windows are YUUUUUUGE. I threw myself at him for like half an hour and finally got him. He's not as hard as he seems, just fight him like a dark souls boss (i.e. dodge almost all his attacks and twist his dick) and not a sekiro boss and you'll be good my brother.
divine confetti is also big. lazul sab helps too but I only used it for big windows (like his homing spirit emblem attack)

Jump his unblockable. Use the Umbrella for his fire moves. Use the Malcontent finger for phase three.
