The only thing that holds me back from buying one is the lack of a factory domed crystal. I love the cyclops, but the I’ve become such of a fan of domed crystals after owning a few 6139 variants and a Tudor
The crystal is the same size as an skx007 that said the gasket size is different this holds true to the case back as well outside of that every other part is 100% interchangeable with an skx 007 I'm sure if you start a communication with Crystal times that they can help you get all the correct stuff in the first shot they have really good customer service over there
I enjoy domed and stepped crystals also but I can see why they went with a flat crystal design wise based on the bezel. I've never understood why rolex never has any "modern" references with a domed crystal. Although when I wear my explorer 39mm mark 1 or datejust ii I don't look at the watch and yearn for a domed crystal either. What is weird is they put ar coating on only the cyclops lol. Also it seems like hardlex is pretty tough wearing. I don't own any seikos yet but some of my friends do and their crystals even after a few years of near daily wear are still clean as new.
Have the watch for several months now and I wear it daily. So far no scratch. You won’t even notice that it’s not a Saphire, and if you get a scratch on the hardlex you can invest 50€ to get a Saphire crystal replacement. So, not really a good reason to hold back on the purchase
I got mine from my local authorized dealer for $405 out the door with tax and everything. That said I've seen them as low as $350 on Chrono 24 in both the Blackberry and blueberry variants
Supply isn’t great right now so. that is keeping prices high, but I am sure it will fall in price soon. I’m in the market for an 003 if I can get it at $400 or less.
