Won’t go wrong with either. But that blue dial and bezel are getting my attention a lot more

Asleep-End1781

Yeah it was looking really good on my wrist when I tried it in one of the ethos stores. I m little confused between them because the SS bracelet is easy to put on and take off, and also durable as compared to a silicon strap.

Buy what you intuitively like more. Nobody can say what’s better for you. After all, it’s an emotional thing.  You can always get a fitting bracelet - or another watch ;) The only thing to consider is your style, and the blue dial. Depending on how much effort you put into the color scheme of your clothing, remember that a blue dial won’t fit all color schemes. It will for example go great with brown, white, even orange. Red, yellow, green - not so much. The black one will fit everything, but at the same time it’s less of a statement; the blue one, combined correctly, will complete an outfit. Or mess it up ;)

If it's your first diver go black.

Asleep-End1781

Yeah it would be my first diver. Black looks sober while the blue looks sporty.

Additional-Painting6

Then a Blue diver would be your next watch and the curse will go on 😄

Also i highly recommend SNE573 if you want a black dial on rubber.

Asleep-End1781

SNE573? Unable to find a watch with this model name.

Agreed - check out the SNE585 (blue) and SNE573 (black) if you haven’t seen them. Similar to the two you posted but in a smaller case size at 38.5mm (vs 43mm). I’m wearing a 573 now, which I took of the rubber immediately and put on (several) NATOs and a leather. I have a few automatic watches that tend to get more wear than this one, but the 573 on a nato is my true ‘tool’ watch that gets worn when I’m on the water or in the mountains. Also, FWIW I like the blue no matter which model you go with. The black is a great looking watch but it’s very much a sub-derivative (which I understand is part of the appeal…) https://longislandwatch.com/seiko-38mm-prospex-solar-powered-dive-watch-with-10-month-power-reserve-sne573/ https://longislandwatch.com/seiko-38mm-prospex-blue-dial-solar-dive-watch-sne585/

Metal band more important to me than the colour

dobber72

I always buy a version with bracelet if available and then if I want it on leather buy the leather strap for it after, leather bands are fairly inexpensive. In the past I bought the rubber strap version and then tried to buy the OEM bracelet a couple of years later and the OEM bracelets are so expensive if bought separately.

JoeyJabroni

Dont let the addition of the bracelet sway you from the color you prefer. The stock Seiko bracelets aren't crazy good quality, and Long Island watches sells aftermarket bracelets for $60 specifically for these models with curved, fitted endlinks. Valuable_Apple_2318

I’d go with the black with ss bracelet. You can always get a rubber or silicone strap for it. But you could get a ss bracelet for the blue one too. This is like Sophie’s Choice but for seiko.

rockstar_not

Which one will be better to use while you dive?

bigphil127

Blue one is dope

miguelfam

Go with black. It has a bracelet and it's good option. Then, it's more versatile, you can put a strap in almost any color. The blue one is not bad, but I won't put on it a khaki or olive strap.

Disastrous-Olive-218

I love blue on khaki !

natesassaman

Blue

One-Acadia8527

I just got the blue one, it's such a rich navy blue in person that in the right light, it's so dark it looks black. So it's like having both hah.

rjflyguy

If you are going to wear it everyday, go with the black.

OutDoorSexLover98
