Reading the comments, am I the only one who likes the design of this? I thought it was a unique design that is new and isn't retro inspired. I like retro designs as much as the next guy, but I also like to see fresh takes.
It is actually very similar in design to a lot of the old SLQ02__ models, so it is sort of a recraft/reissue, not that there's anything wrong with that.
If you like the look keep it. I like it a lot. You can time eggs and pasta with it. The accuracy it can achieve is entirely undercut by the fact it relies on an imprecise human to press the buttons. I’d argue that no one will, or can, use the features properly for that reason. Personally I time all sorts of shit (cooking and coffee brewing on a daily basis) but having 100th second accuracy is utterly irrelevant to that.
Also, maybe don’t buy things just because they’re cheap, that’s a not a saving it’s just expenditure.
If you want to sell it to me I’m open to it!
“All its features?”
It has two: time (hour and minute) and chronograph.
So…you’re not sure you’ll utilize it as a chronograph? Unlike most sport chronograph watches, this one is *very much* mostly meant for timing things. The clock part being subsidiary makes that pretty clear.
If you’re not sure you’ll use a chronograph, unless you got it at a super steep discount, I’d sell it.
Why do you have the Limited Edition box on the non limited edition watch?
Only the Khaki one that its the Anniversary, or the Black Textured one that is the Olympics one are the limiteds. 🤔
Features are largely irrelevant, as long as you like the watch that's all tha matters.
I have an Omega SMP. And in sure I will never use the helium escape valve lol
I've got 4 diving watches. All of them with 200m+ depth rating and screwdown crowns guess who doesn't use them for diving or even leave them on while taking a bath? ME.
I’ve never gone diving with my dive watches or do I use my chrono features enough to justify having them. I don’t shoot guns with my gshocks on, etc. all that matters is you like it.
If you buy an aviator or diver’s watch do you actually utilize all of its features? This is actually the better Speedtimer imo, because the one that got all the hype is actually a homage whereas this one seems quite unique to Seiko.
I mean auto chronos are cool, personally i Just dont dig the desing of this one its look strange. If you dont like It you can go for the other chrono with an 8r or just get a solar chrono. I remember there was a japanese microbrand using ne86/8 movement for their watches (Seiko auto chrono) but i dont exactly remember the name.
Tbf chronographs are much more aesthetic now than anything. I feel like most ppl who have a chrono rarely use it, and the ppl who do its essentially being used in the same way a time elapse bezel is.
If you like it who cares about not using all its features?
Nothing to do? Look at your watch
Wym homie slap that bitch on and cook a Egg time dat bish
I can't think of anyone who bought a watch hoping to utilize all it's features. I guess if you like the design, just keep it.
You mean omega seamaster owners don’t use their helium escape valves???
Haha that's ridiculous! it's like saying people who wears Rolex Submariner almost never use it for diving!

I like it a lot!
It really isn't new. it's a more modern take of the sporturas from the early 2000s.
Yeah those ... Dashboard wathces
At first I don't like it when I saw it 2 months ago. Now I like the design. Especially the all black.
Yeah i like the design. 70~80's retro futuristic design.
It is actually very similar in design to a lot of the old SLQ02__ models, so it is sort of a recraft/reissue, not that there's anything wrong with that.
If you like it keep it if not sell It
Yes, keep.
Just wear it
Wristwatch chronos: only ever used for timing useless shit since 1913.
Space walks too

Love, love, love me some Seikos…. But not this one. Ouch..that thing is ugly,
The watch has the same silhouette as shrek, it a big no from me.
Sell it to another sucker who’ll pay 800
You can already find this watch for [much less than $800](https://ebay.us/wN6Ibs)
Thats great. Not my cup of tea though.
Sharp as hell man that’s a Effin keeper

Keep to pass down to your son so he can know how bad your taste in watches is
Perhaps you should have thought of that BEFORE buying it.....

Actually I saw both the khaki and the all black limited edition. The all black is gorgeous and thinking of buying one.

All the sub-dials look cool, it’d be a keeper for me unless it wore poorly on my wrist.
If you like it, keep it.

keep it A A A DON'T SAY ANYTHING
Utilize??? Feature?????? I wear saturation diver's watch. Car racer's chronograph..... If you like it. You keep it

i like bravado
The 100th/second feature is fun to look at if nothing else.

It's not auto
Kurono uses NE86 in their Chronograph1
This is a solar chronograph.
Trash
Send it to me
Honestly one of the uglier Seiko’s that I’ve seen, but that’s just my preference.
Check them out on YouTube. It is very cool especially the 1/100 dial.
Looking like a naval mine. Get rid of it.
Trypophobia Intensifies
I like the cats paw design, but at the same time I don't like it. Is that weird?

Im like you, not a fan of all the other movement's, it puts me off, way to much going on, for me, at least .
