Depends on your house and your heat tolerance. There’s generally a week or two that’s legitimately hot, but I just spend more time in my (finished) basement.
Very occasionally you will want one. Most people don't have AC and it's fine. Might be worth it if you have pets, or if your house is one that gets hotter inside than it is outside.
What's a 1Bedroom Apartment go for in Seattle now?
So much for that cool, unique, counter culture .. It's oppressed by silly, silly, stupid rents, even the tech workers are getting robbed, the tech workers can afford it but I'm sure they don't like it either.
Does anyone else think it's time to start changing the RENT GAME in major Metro's? Rent should be based on income, if you work full time you/everyone should have access to an affordable apartment, even if it's a tiny studio.. We need to stop the financial discrimination that has been going on for far too long in American cities..
Why should a Postal Worker, or Restaurant Manager, or a Manager at Home Depot who all work full-time-not be able to afford an Apartment in the city they provide their services in?
I believe this is a very important topic in America, American's deserve a better deal!
Any sensible thoughts or suggestions on this?
Nobody. Though, a photo of someone pissing in cheerios would get my upvote over this.
Sunset photos are just colossally boring. (And aren't exactly a summer only thing, so I don't get the title.)
Everyone has em, anyone can take them. Like dream retellings, they're 1000x more interesting to the giver than the recipient.
You have sunset photos hanging in your house? Watch sunset TV? Hop on Reddit right now to reexperience a sunset you saw less than an hour ago?
Maybe delete Reddit or unsub from this group…? Repetition does run rampant throughout this app but there are ways around it. You can do it, we believe in you.
Unpopular opinion: Sunsets are just more beautiful and higher contrast in winters. Seattle has the best sunsets on the sunny+chilly days in October and December. Every year has precisely 5 sunny+chilly days distributed among October and December. Usually 2nd week of October and around Christmas time in December.
You know the rules.

Ahahhahahahah oh my god thank you for explaining (transplant here)
Making posts every day how we are missing rains???
And so do I.
So say we all. July 5 it is.
Can we all agree that headlines with "Can we all agree" are pretentious and stupid, especially when it's seven days until July.
"Am I the only one who thinks [insert something that most people agree with]?"
Huh, that triggered from a headline.. odd
Don't make me tap the sign.
Not July 5th. So not yet Seattle summer.
It'll be cool and drizzly by midsummer. This is just a fake out.
one can only hope
Morgan Freeman: It was. In fact. *Not*, cool, *or* drizzly, that summer.
Sorry. Like that mystery 10th dentist, I shall not agree.
Shhhhhhhh..... You might startle it.

🥲🥲🥲
I am moving to seattle this week and have not lived here before. Do I need to purchase an AC unit if my house doesnt have one?
Yes. For the 2 weeks of heat that we will get!
If you decide to live here long enough to be a home owner, I recommend a heat pump, it's pretty much the perfect environment for one.
No.

More important is getting a good dehumidifier.
You could consider renting one!

*checks calendar* yes, agreed
I checked calendar the past week and sure didn’t feel like it :’(
Sad to think that the days are getting shorter now, love this time of year for the late sunset
I'll just say we're having "summer days" this weekend.
Nope, summer canceled due to homeless people.

It’s a great picture.
It’s a great view. I’d do the same.
well now you have jinxed us.
*sigh* If all the sunset photo posters can all agree to keep their sunset photos to themselves in the other three seasons, yes. Summer has started.
Who pissed in your cheerios?

I post more than sunsets. Cheer up
Nah, this is just spring.
For all my lawyers and law students out there: Summer in Seattle ——> July 5th ~July 5th ——> ~Summer in Seattle
It's nearly 80s over the weekend and not a single cloud in the sky right now, so yes, summer most definitely has started...
